I left the physical church because Yah had more to teach then i was learning... I've surpassed my teachers. When Yah reveals his mysteries in heaven and beneath the earth there is no going backwards. Praise Yahuah abba of creation

Lord knows I love my pastor but ever since I started tuning into Stephen Darby Ministries here on KZread I just can’t get into the prosperity preaching and the negligence I see taking place in church. A minister’s teaching should convict you if you’re not living right. The way people can continuously go to church Sundays religiously but raise hell on Earth thru the week with no conviction is crazy. That man’s ministering has changed my life. I binge watch his videos. His teachings are more present and accurate now than ever. He was so before his time. I’ve learned so much just from watching him in the last 6 months than I have my whole life in church. I still go to physically fellowship but when I really want to be taught I watch Pastor Darby. That man’s anointing is like no other. May he rest in peace🙏🏽🙏🏽

All facts. I left a church 4 years ago. I asked the Lord to lead me to a house that taught the deep word of God. I had to walk in faith and the Lord led me to where I'm at. Keep it in prayer sister. The Lord will lead you to that Philly house. The enemy even tried to convict me saying I was church hoping. I had to bind that spirit because I knew in my heart I was seeking God's will. The deception of the enemy can be do subtle, but God. He will lead us to all truth if we diligently seek Him. Seek and you shall find sister.

Closing churches during Covid hurt the church. A lot of people got used to not going and now they are not going back. 😢

I have a quiet spirit as well. I got called out for it multiple times as though I wasn’t praising God in my own way. I used to suffer from anxiety. My pastor called me up to the front of the church before we dismissed and he gave me the mic. I wanted to crawl under the pews and cry. I said a simple prayer that I was taught as a child and left. It was a bit traumatizing. I still go from time to time but not like I used to.

Everyone is different. I cry and have yelled(deliverance) in the spirit. However, the running, and dancing and being moved when the musicians start to play isn't me cause its not authentic. The black church trains people to jump, hop and run around. Thats not pure praise and worship to me

This statement alone is why there are a growing number of ppl around the world who are becoming antinatalist. Surprisingly some, very few, are religious referencing to Ecclesiastes 4:1-3 as do many antinatalist I think. Listen to the news. And you say stop listening to the news. But ppl are the news. lol So in one sense we are to ignore what's in the news or what's happening to other ppl or the causes and effects. Its okay to give words of encouragement to ppl you dont know and will perhaps never meet bc it tries to optimizes the situation from afar. You want to be that shoulder to cry on but action speaks louder. She might need food, shelter, love and some more stuff (a stress free life). Her comment sound as if she wants to cash it in. I hope she didn't have any children. Life is a scam but no one believes that it is until they get scammed out of life and the pursuit of happiness (Money). And the scams that are out there 🤤 comes in many different shapes, sizes and colors.

That’s my dad he left church physically he attends none but he reads his Bible like every morning he reads psalms 91 & 23 every morning before he gets up he says he is the church. I don’t wanna go back to church because God don’t dwell in the church. But somedays I have my days where I wanna go back too church I am not God. 🖤

Hey Keke!! I agree and this very topic came up in my quiet time with The Lord. Please check out Dr. Charles Stanley's sermons. He passed away recently. There are tons of his sermons on KZread filled with good teaching and anointing. I went to his church while he was living. No tithes; the Lord directed me to get out in the field and GIVE DIRECTLY to those in need. It's time to pick a side and stop playing with the Holy things of God. Consecration and faith in action. We must bear fruit.

Sis you're so correct! We have to really be consecrated unto the lord. Being relegated to a building is insane. People are outside the building and need a move from God!

My spirit would have to feel right in a new Church

Wow Sis did that ever resonate with Me! In a way You just told My whole Story. Been there, done that. The Church is FULL of People and maybe that’s the Reason We have problems with the Church in general. People WILL be People, no matter if They sit in the pews or on the platform or in the Choir or behind a pulpit. Some come with an ‘agenda’ but some, and I Pray MOST come for a Hunger for that Experience with the Living God You talked about. In My Experience, People want the TRUTH. The Truth about Who God IS, what He’s doing, what He will do for Us and in Us. But People also want REAL. They want AUTHENTICITY. They want the REAL DEAL. I stood on that platform for 40+ yrs and after a while, You just know when it’s Real and when it’s fake. Let Me talk about Worship in general. One of the most humbling and Beautiful things Someone had ever said to Me came on a Sunday after I had been there for just a few weeks. They came up to Me after Service and said, “Pastor, THANK YOU for bringing Me to the very Throne of God every week since You’ve been Here. It’s felt so intimate between You and God Himself and You brought Us into that Experience to share that Presence of God We’ve all been looking for. You’ve build a Bridge between Heaven and Us here and help lead Us to get to that plateau where We walk into the Room full of God’s Glory and can just bask and dwell WITH Him, One on One, even though the room is filled with hundreds…” I’ll NEVER forget those Words - they’re etched FOREVER on My Heart. Bottomline, there’s a phrase that’s fits: You get what You give and You want to Give what You've gotten. You get what You come expecting. Called it Attitude or whatever, but what You come with, You’ll leave with. That’s a FACT. Think about that… I’ve been in the Church most all of My Life, but because of a few Life circumstances and setbacks, I haven’t ‘belonged’ to a Church in over 12 yrs. I’ve visited many and watch fervently online to a few that speak the Word of God to My Spirit and Heart, but most are miles and miles away. For Me, it’s ok to watch online, but there is NOTHING more rewarding (for lack of a better word) than to be IN THE ROOM where God IS. I too am still searching and even considering moving closer to some so I can be in a Place where I BELONG. God and I have had conversation after conversation about this very thing and He KNOWS I have a Hunger and a Desire to Serve People. I don’t want a title. I just want to Serve and Learn and Glean and soak in the Presence of God. I want REAL, but ME Myself, I want to be the REAL DEAL, too. Every Day I ask Myself the same question that I started asking Myself years ago: “…what do I need to do with what I’m Hearing to BECOME what God is needed?” If I can’t apply in a tangible way what God is speaking to Me through Scripture, through instruction or Sermons, through Serving My fellow Brothers and Sisters and mankind in general, then it’s just a bunch of meaningless words. It’s like the old question that every romantic Person says to Their Greatest Love - “I don’t want You to keep TELLING Me that You Love Me. Show Me.” Sis, THAT’S where I am in Life because I’ve seen God do AMAZING and WONDERFUL things that I cannot and will not unsee. He Deserves MY Presence as much as I Desire His and that’s why I keep looking - and hoping - that One Day soon I’ll find MY Place to Belong. Sister, I’m Praying for You to find that Place that God wants YOU to land so He can and will Use You in ways You can’t begin to imagine, ALL for His Glory and His Glory Alone. Love You Sis. You’re the Real Deal and You’ve reminded Me again and again that I can be, too. THANK YOU, JESUS!!!

Thank you so much for this detailed and very transparent response. I feel the exact same way you do! I truly want God and his ultimate purpose for me. At my old church I begin to feel so out of place there and like God's spirit was no longer there. I just bowed out gracefully and have been praying talking to God about some things since then. I pray he makes things clear to me so more and deeper understanding can come from all I've experienced in ministry.

Some ppl left the church bc they see it as a scam in addition to the corruption. So in one sense the church pushes ppl out of the church. Its all political. There's no separation between church and state. The state scam and so does the church bc they are one in the same. Self interest. So those who left the church are interested in self. Many say that they still read the bible, believe in God and haven't left him. Just the church. They're just living thier life. There's Buddhism, catholicism, India gods etc and don't forget that Satan is a god too. His most visited place is the church. A wolf in sheep clothing.

I only recently found a church… well I shouldn’t say “I found” but I believe God got me connected to this church and sofar it’s been a blessing. Prior to this church I haven’t been a member of an actual church in years. Due to the nonsense and shenanigans that a lot of these churches be doing nowadays. But the church I found focuses heavily on Gods word and singing. I’m not gonna lie it’s a breath of fresh air. If I had to give you advice sis I would say pray about it. Ask God to guide you to a new church that doesn’t spend time on drama but spends time on Gods word.

Dear family Please research Genesis 1:14. Read it. Dissect it. The first truth is to acknowledge that it, Genesis 1:14 is a commandment from God and it has not been "nailed to the cross." Point is, God has a Time/calendar that sits in the heaven where no man can tamper with it. He ordained it in the beginning of creation before He gave commandment to keep the seventh we day Sabbath or any of His appointed times. We cannot say that it does not matter what calendar we use to calculate the Sabbath, when God has already given us a calendar. Today, there are still Sabbath/ Sunday blue laws on government books. It is a great possibility that God may allow the nations to enforce these laws again in society, but in a greater degree this time around. These "Sunday blue laws" are calculated by man's time not by the Time God ordained in Genesis 1:14. There is nothing new under the sun. God used nations before to prove His people to see if they will hearken unto His commandments. Judges 2:20-23 & Judges 3:1-4 Every day God's scattered people are being tested to see if they will keep His laws or No. Do not take this truth likely. Research it again. There will be a famine for the word of God. People will look for it, but it will not be there one day. Now, if any claim to be a servant of God and continue to hold on to tradition above what God commands, then, their worship is in vain. Their worship to God is useless. God does not accept it. Read Mark 7 The last gospel in Revelation 14 to be preached upon earth is to be heed.... ...Worship Him that made heaven, earth and sea, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, whosoever worship the beast, his image and receive his mark will have no rest day and night and should be destroyed in the presence of the lamb and the angels by fire and brimstones. Acts 2:46 "Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. And the Lord added to their number DAILY those who were being saved." Acts chapter 2 is referencing the BIRTH OF THE CHURCH here in the earth, the body of Christ (the ecclesia) ...could it be possible Ms Keke that the Lord is leading you to start a home bible study group?💁🏿‍♂️.. As we march forward to (& thru) these Endtimes, the Almighty has His ways of bringing things back around..EXAMPLE: Ecclesiastes 1:9 "What has been will BE AGAIN, what HAS BEEN DONE will be DONE AGAIN!!; there is nothing new under the sun." I love this sis! I left a mega church here in Los Angeles as there was way too much pageantry and worldly dancing going on. A lot of alphabet leaders. Pastor on his second wife etc. I just knew the spirit was telling me to stop going. I found another church home but staying prayerful and allowing God to lead. This was a spot on message for the end times as written in Timothy.

Sis I'm so happy you found a better church. All the extra and over the top theatrics is just not me. I would be dressed to the T from head to toe and had like three different titles. However, the level of jealousy, manipulation, control, jezebel spirits, perversion and much more was at super high levels!! They only allowed you to go so far before someone would sabotage you. I WAS DONE ✔. YOU HEAR ME! DONE!!!

I could so relate to what this ladies talking about because I left my old church 67 years ago because of the jealous Music Director and head pastor of the church so anyway fast forward 67 years later around two years ago, I left my old state and moved to another state so around two years ago God brought me to this church in my new state that I’m at now and the reason why God brought me back to the church was because of my musical abilities So basically what I’m saying with all this is that God put me in the right church at the right time with the right people and ever since then it has been a great experience real talk

Last comment...Back in the day, my grandmother took my siblings and i to a church that was legalistic thanks to the pastor, so much to the point that she couldn't play her rub board and tambourine...We later returned to that church after a younger pastor received leadership. He had a heart for The LORD and a heart for younger people also. Growing up in that environment was encouraging. It also showed how The Holy Ghost move for real and not the fakery that's so obvious that even a blind person can notice it.

Its annoying!

I left the church 9 months ago. I was on the praise team. Our old praise team leader left unexpectedly and the pastors daughter was placed in her position. She would come to music practice yelling at her kids and the praise team. Even on Sundays during practice before service she would yell at us. It really hindered my spirit before worship service. I spoke to her about her behavior and she apologized. A week later she teaches us a brand new song before service and yelled at me for getting the word wrong. So i I left the praise team. 2 weeks later the pastor yells over the pulpit you need to go back to your ministry and his daughter chims in 'Amen! That was my last day at that church. Then 2 months later I was taken off the church Facebook page and couldn't see anything going on there anymore. I would always pray before service to make sure my spirit was right. I expected the same especially from the leaders.

I'm sorry you had to experience that! This isn't shocking to me though because your situation is so common. Family members are put in position in the house of God and others are looked over because of it. God isn't in any of that!

I just start attending this church where I was baptized 3- 13 I had to tarry for the holy ghost and speak in tounges I did once now I feel like if I don’t speak in tounges I don’t have the holy ghost Detroit

Jesus Christ is coming back for his church, aka those who are of his body. A lot of folks are caught up in a building that was made by man, but doesn't focus on His salvation and ministry, because it's more about "traditions of man" and "their ministry" instead. Jesus Christ was baptized outside and gave his sermon at a mountain. That should speak massive volumes right there.

Give me devotional hymns over "praise and worship songs" any day...At least with the devotional hymns it's obvious who is being praised and worshipped. 💯

I grew up at my home church and been going there since I was born. On May 2023, I had to make a transition and I been receiving a whole lot of backlash from people on my moms side. I do not understand because both congregations are church of Christ and teach sound doctrine. I left my home church for many reasons and honestly thats no one business.

You're right. Its nobody's business why you left your home church. That is between you and God!!! You're a grown man who has a right to make decisions that are better for you.

I don’t remember that Jesus and his disciples dancing and shouting while preaching..,that’s why I don’t believe on those shenanigans of other churches that does this..yah ur right.. branded clothes , bags, cars..not my thing.. Right! They always assume you left because of offense but its because of mistreatment. They never want to address it

You have a platform through this youtube channel and your messages impact the world. The walls of a building couldnt stop you lol. Maybe The Lord may have you start a bible study or prayer group also. Gods Ways are higher than our ways Isaith 55:11 and Ephesians 3:20.

When it takes thirty minutes to give someone an introduction since they want to be called EVERYTHING but a sinner saved by grace, it's obvious who is being glorified and it's NOT The Almighty God.

Yes indeed, its the fake praise and worship for me. Now that's a big turn off for me that's why I definitely stay away. And I'm just not going to spend all my time at the church concerned with their programs taking me off track from spending time with Lord.

A new way of worship has to be birthed out with the people of God. We can't live off the old ways of connecting with God.

Don't be afraid if God has put you aside from the church. Give him glory and honor, fulfill your ministry through word AND especially through your actions. Trust that God is protecting you even behind the scenes. ALL christians have a ministry and a call whether or not we dare to acknowledge it. Could it be that your purpose is outside of the church? Does God ONLY use christians in the church?

You're right my brother. Everything you said has been my personal thoughts for years. I have always known that God can use Christians outside of the physical church. I've been saved since I was 6 and my father made me go to church. I had no choice. God has used me outside of the church to do some things so I know anyone of us just relying on the building to find purpose in God is ignorance

Twerking?! Wow I haven’t been in the church since 2020 do to an experience I had and I don’t say this with pride but my relationship with God had never been at the level it is now and I been in church Since I was a little girl.

Yes a lot of these well known pastors are having certain services and people are doing worldly dances on stage at the services. A popular pastor had a Easter service and had cheerleaders tweaking and dancing like the girls in rap videos

Jesus Christ said to Peter in Matthew 16:18 KJV what he built his church upon and what wouldn't prevail against it. He didn't say anything about pews, a "building fund" etc. Don't get me wrong, there's a serious difference between church and a "den of thieves", but the latter is taking precedent over the former, especially after the past four years.

Because those meeting places in what men calls the Church is not The True Church. The True Church like The Apostle Paul wrote is not based upon the Things which do appear. And Neither The Church is built with men's hands either. Because the Majority of the so called Churches of what The Apostle Paul wrote are only based upon The Customs and The Traditions of men. And Truly men does love there Traditions. Like The Lord Jesus Christ says many shall come to Him and Worship Me with there mouth , and shall Honoureth me with there Lips , but there Hearts are still far from Me. And they do Worship they know not what ? Because they do Stumble at that Stumbling Stone which is of Christ Jesus.

What's up with the dimly lit lights and light show on the stage? i thought i was at the club when i went to a "revival" several years ago. Please don't get me started on the "songs" that used vague pronouns like "he" and "his", never mentioned The LORD.

Which God is she talking about bc there are many. Good and bad ppl know and love only one God, "money".

A watered down gospel doesn't work anymore. The church has been operating on grace for centuries. I beleive Revelations ch. 3 has already happened, thats when Jesus adressed the 7 churches. Some churches here in America absolutely do not operate according to scripture. What is a mission statement? The true unadulterated Holy Spirit teaching from the Word of God is the only remedy for the problems and issues facing beleivers in this time.

@missctolbertvoh Also Sis it's modeled after the Pharasess. If you don't fit in their click and pedalsiize the pastor or other self promoted leaders in the churches , you become socially and emotionally ex- communicated in that church.

You can't claim to "follow Jesus Christ" and stay in a building He said you'd be taken out of in John 16:2 KJV if you did...Btw, 501(c)3 is NOT scriptural.
