@@SgtKnievel he was never rectonned. those variants of the "beyonder" are just ivory kings which are very powerfull and named as the beyonders. but the ivory kings or the other op charachters that looked like or were named beyonder are not the beyonder. in defenders beyond omega beyonder said that he is the one and only beyonder and he was alwyas just him and there were no variants of him.

I follow this one versus group on FB and this reminds me of how a lot of people in the group think Dr. Manhattan is the end all be all of reality warpers haha. Manhattan solos most of the common characters he's matched against in Marvel, like Ghost Rider, Scarlet Witch, and Dr. Strange. Galactus would probably be pretty even. Franklin Richards would own his ass though.

Does this mean Lucifer stomps The Living Tribunal as well? I don’t see LT being as easily manipulated as the Beyonder, but if Lucifer is higher tier anyways, then it’s irrelevant.

The Beyonder usually loses due to him being outsmarted. And Lucifer has high intelligence and had tricked powerful foes like The Beyonder in the past, he was made to trick omnipotent gods on a daily basis. Lucifer also had superior training and fighting experience too. Beyonder is powerful due to him being beyond infinite narratives and HOI and GOS Loki, but he is just still a naive little child that could be played into Lucifer's hands. More times than not, Lucifer Wins.

It's always a matter of 'when'. And it never takes long. And Lucifer knows it.

For example TOAA for Marvel, The Presence for DC, Man of Miracles for Image, Azathoth for Lovecraft, etc ......and Pre Retcon Beyonder is the Supreme Being for his universe as well. These beings are the 3 Os ( omnipotence, omnipresent , omniscience) of their world. PRB was the supreme being who left his universe and came into Marvel to became its supreme being during Secret Wars. There was no TOAA character written at this time . PRB explained that he had to limit his power to exist and explore mortality in the Marvel Universe. He was letting himself get beatup by thugs and everyone else to explore humanity. On the messageboard of his site Jim Shooter was asked who would win in a battle between Marvels God TOAA and the "God before Genesis" PRB. His answer was that the winner of this fight depends where its happening. The Presence himself said he didnt need Lucifer and Micheal to make creation. Lucifer is not omnipotent and has been defeated powerwise a few times. It was his mind that pulled in victories against many powerful opponents. At the end of Mike Careys Lucifer , Lucy was able to escape his Supreme Beings control and escape creation thru the Overvoid. This freedom is what he wanted since issue #1 and he achieved it. Now about the retconing......PRB was the avatar of Marvels boss at the time Jim Shooter. Jim made sure Beyonders omnipotence was honored while he was around. When Jim left Tom DeFalco took over and hated the Beyonder character and wanted it permanently removed. Steven Englehart , the writer for Fantastic Four was tasked to do this. But Steven was friends with Jim and instead just retconned the character and the events of Secret Wars. From being the God of the Beyond Realm Beyonder was retconned to be half of a cosmic cube and the events of Secret Wars became an illusion. He was signifcantly dropped in power and now was below the Living Tribunal. Numerous other retcons came after this like the Beyonder race, etc. BUT Al Ewing paid homage to the original Beyonder in Defenders: Beyond when Beyonder unretconned himself back to the original "omnipotent" Beyonder who then escaped the House of Ideas. Then in Avengers Beyond Beyonder was retcon once again.

Fun fact: It was stated by the narrator 3 times and the man himself once that Beyonder is Omnipotent. So If Beyonder wants to kill him, he is dead. But given how Smart and Omniscient Lucifer is, I agree Beyonder will get played and lose that way. The intelligence gap is insane. I would say lucifer as the vesons made a plan together with the Japanese patheon and made it so lucifers own attack got bounced back at him meaning his own power is what was needed and even that was not enopgh. y the way izanami does and did not look at all like she does ere in most of Japans artistic drawings of her. We also did not see Izanagi the father of the faction kinda wierd. Or did we and I am drawing a blank on him?

Alot of downplay for Pre Retcon Beyonder who was literally god to a universe that dwarfs the Marvel Universe , as Stan Lee quoted " as an ocean to a water drop". Also alot of downplay for Omega Beyonder who was able to unretconned himself and escape the House of Ideas. Lucifer can manipulate a win through just cunning ONLY IF PRB leaves himself open to it BUT powerwise its PRB= Presence=TOAA > Lucifer.

@@ThatPhonkEnjoyer OK, but Beyonder has been “dissolved/watered down” (retconned a few times if you will) to fulfill some of Marvel’s current/more involved story lines/comics especially the ones explaining where the Beyonder comes from - so we can argue that he is def not as OP as what he used to be. DC, on the other hand, has not officially inferred that type of narrative for the archangel Lucifer. Obviously they could change that at anytime, but as of now my money is def on Lucifer.

@@ThatPhonkEnjoyerAt the end of issue 1 the Beyonder appears on panel saying “I am from beyond” displaying the Ω sign, so you are correct in saying that; however, in issue 2, it’s shown on panel that the Omega council, and Ivory Kings are also from beyond, and Loki makes a joke saying that the Defenders are from near by lol. On page 8 The Beyonder says “Fixing me meant speedrunning certain larval stages until, full-grown and whole, I could join my own people here - - in the “ENGINE ROOM” of creation” (key word there is my own people).

In beyond realm beyonder would stomp lucifer especially when jim shooter himself states that toaa dont got shit in beyond realm since its inside of marvel and beyond realm is bigger than marvel and DC combined so i dont see how lucifer is winning outside of beyond realm and since beyond realm is greater than marvel and DC that means a stronger cosmology a stronger cosmology means that his existence is higher

The Lucifer tv show is really interesting and compelling fun. This is something the movies lack curiously. If Marvel, Sony make a Beyonder TV, series or movies, hope they don,t wimp out somehow reducing it to some pitiful little teenie bopper type show or movie like Saved by The Bell. (Or something)😅. Lol. Pretty disappointed in the Marvel comics movies( DC comics movies, more or less too.)Lol. Hope they, if Beyonder something or others ARE made hope they,re made on the level of Lucifer tv show( Don,t know about comics, haven,t read them,yet the visuals on KZread are great,very nice.) Lol. The order of the day for an upcoming Beyonder event should be made in the style of something like the Blade movies & the Punisher movies, if reducing it more to pop culture, teenie bopper fare would tarnish the brand, so to speak. The Ben Affleck Daredevil movie set the right mood & feel that the Spiderman movies should have been. People say that movie was corny & 😝 cheesy, I liked it. If Beyonder movies are made just don,t want them to be made like he,s Michael Jackson in his videos, that,s all. Original concept M.J. aesthetic aside, that,s nothing to do with the Beyonder. Lol.

Genuine question J&G. Current Beyonder was able to go Beyond The House of Ideas. And you said that the current Marvel cosmology is bigger than the current DC cosmology. I think pre retcon beyonder Beats lucifer easly. Yes lucifer is smarter but pre retcon beyonders power is way too much compared to PRB - low - mid diff. ( When the fight takes place in the beyond realm -negative diff. Post retcon beyonder loses to lucifer. Only pre retcon beats him.

If we take feats in to consideration... Infinity quakes under the feet of lucifer... Lucifer destroyed a dimension that contains infinite layerd infinity, by his mere presence... Its possible that beyond verse might disintegrate in lucifer's presence tbh... Composite beyonder isn't stronger than lucifer.. That's just wrong..
