I want this so badly.

One of my favorite lines from the Sandman is when we see Lucifer on a tropical beach after retiring from Hell and an old man stops by to talk to him. The man talks about how he's lost everything in his life. One of his twin sons died in Vietnam. Then he and the other twin got in a car crash where only he survived. And then years later his wife died from cancer. And on top of that his leg hurts all the time. But when he comes down to look at the sunset, as he used to do with his wife before she passed away, he thinks to himself that if God can create something as beautiful as the setting sun, and a different one every night at that, then he has to respect him for that at the very least. After the man leaves, Lucifer smiles and says: "All right, I admit it. He's got a point. The sunsets are bloody marvelous, you old bastard. Satisfied?"

@Langdon Alger Michael released the energy needed to create the multiverse and Lucifer shaped said energy into Stars, planets, Laws of physics, Dimensions etc. Michael can't create complex things like planets and galaxies as he doesn't have the power to do so. All Michael did was release energy into the Void for Lucifer to manipulate. Gabriel as you said refined it but he also helped create the first life forms. As we've already seen though, Gabriel wasn't actually needed as Lucifer can do the same thing but better when he created his own Multiverse

@Langdon Alger I've read all the series and it contradicts itself quite a lot. Especially considering Gabriel is quite weak for an Arch Angel and has never displayed any reality warping powers where as Lucifer has shown it countless of times. After all Lucifer has God's infinite Will and can shape reality at a whim. Not once has Gabriel shown to be capable of the same and it's generally accepted that it was Mainly Michael and Lucifer that created the Multiverse and Gabriel refined it e.g Life forms. That comic where it says "Lucifer has not made a Universe before" is a contradiction. He's just never made a Creation with life in it himself. Yet in that same comic we see Lucifer bringing Time into existence under his own power, creating planets with life etc. This is why I say these comics contradicts itself a lot. Gabriel never showed any reality warping abilities whatsoever. He isn't even a quarter of the Arch Angel that Lucifer is, especially when he lost his wings he fell into a drunken depression where as Lucifer was still killing Gods when he lost his wings

Oh, but Batman and Tony are totally relatable, despite the fact they're impossibly rich, have literally everything planned out, get chased around by tons of women and hang out with gods all the time. In the comics he is almost omnipotent all the time and the comics make it work, the show is just full of lazy writing, taking his powers is the simple and dumb way to make some drama.

Very losely based .. but yes. The character is almost nothing like lucifer int he comics. Completely different personality.. the only things in common is the name, the bar and the cliped wings. Lucifer would never get angry with a feeble human in the comics.. he respect humans free will (Since he himself is the source of all will)

Ferhat Özel there's one time in the comic where Michael (Lucifer's brother) make Spectre look weak by comparison when he chucked the Spectre across the space in just a single wave of hand like throwing a baseball. *and everyone knows that Michael and Lucifer is equal* , some (mostly) said that Lucifer is stronger than him since he take on The Presence one on one and also lead a rebellion army against him. Not just that, there's also one time in the comic where's he said "If somebody's going to kill the god (The Presence), it should be me". Even the Living Tribunal don't have any balls to say that line to The One Above All bcoz he can't. P.s. So you're right, Lucifer isn't equivalent of Living Tribunal, bcoz he's way stronger than that he just challenge The Presence himself in the first place.

@@crimsoncomet3756 No, I think you're misunderstanding something here. Just because Lucifer says if there's going to be someone to kill, it's gonna be me doesn't mean he can do it. Just like TOAA, the Presence is all powerful, all knowing, etc, etc. You get the gist. Lucifer can't kill the presence (at least currently, let's see what bs they make up next). And the living tribunal can't kill TOAA because like The Presence, TOAA is completely Invincible in every single way. It has nothing to do with the powers of The living tribunal or Lucifer, it has to do with Lucifer's personality that made him say that.

Alright, now this is a depiction of Lucy that I can seriously get behind.

One of my favorite Sandman spinoffs. Such a good series and touched on mythologies few people are even aware of.

Oh that scar on Michael's face in s5 of lucifer. This is a nod to the scar caused by Mazikeen to lucifer in the mythos. But rather than Maze, it's even more fitting that Lucifer done it to differentiate himself. I love this show even more.

Well Lucifer is the best thing Dc has done in years.

Lazar Knezevic I dislike it. I want to see Lucifer on a vacation, but exploring the endless, heaven, hell, and all the multiverse is like going on a epic journey. Maybe having to show the presence showing what is outside that plane of existence which is outside heaven (heaven and earth literally meant universe in this case omniverse in DC) and hell as in outerverse to Lucifer .

That bit about the Endless not being as powerful as “Lucifer” is a fascinating paradox in Gaiman’s writing, because it’s also acknowledged that Morpheus-as-Dream was the ultimate creator of _all_ stories and the beings in all stories, including _all_ deities, angels, and such. That means that he created the Presence aka YHWH, and “Lucifer.” This means that Dream can be less powerful than his own creations, or can create beings more powerful than himself and which even have the power to destroy him.

Thought robot was lossing mandraak the entirety of their fight and luckly knocked him out and carried him to the overvoid where they both faded out of existence. Can’t wait DC Rebirth debunked the lists of who can defeat Dr. Manhattan, AGAIN! The list is long before DC Rebirth officially kickstarted with Manhattan one-shotted many characters from the list, and every other over-powered characters referred him as HIM while giving away a warning that HE is coming.

Go for Sandman, pretty please! Way back in the 90's, it was not only my introduction to comics, but the story that saved my life. I could not become a teen suicide statistic, because I had to see how Neil Gaiman's brilliant, beautiful, and touching story would end. Thank you Neil, for giving me a reason to hang on and live. Life's turned out to be a pretty neat thing, and I'm glad I didn't miss it!

There's absolutely nothing that Doomslayer could ever do to ever actually hurt him, Lucifer might toy with him for a bit but will quickly grow bored and then just either destroy him, send him far away into some other random unstable Dimension outside of the Multiverse or even just will him out of Existence with a thought, all of Time and Space and the Multiverse, as if he never existed at all.

It seems to me that the concept of the antiquity of ancient gods returning to the modern world explains itself way more better than that God is Dead comic that I previously read back then.

In short : Father had couple of sons : Lucifer Michael Gabriel Raphael (maybe im wrong) He gave to Lucifer and Michael powers And two of them created DC multiverse. Apokolipse is made of god knows what Anti Monitor has fucked up origin too. But Lucifer and Michael are responsible for DC multiverse (if I am not mistaken)

I’ve only seen the Netflix series. And wow..I’m speechless from this video hahah. Still waiting on S5 part B & season 6.

Man, it would be amazing for this to be the future plot of the show. We haven't really seen much of Lucifer's powers, so if it can pull its story towards the comics, and show a flashback of the creation of the universe, then it'd be interesting as hell. Too bad the fifth season will be it's final season. Maybe dctv can pull it back into production by dc and continue it. Lucifer is definitely a show that garners a lot of viewers from the general population, at least more than the cw dc shows
