Actualy TOAA IS the writer. This idea of the writer being god also means that all the characters and world are puppets to its will and that there are multiple gods not just one because any human being can create a story.(quality is a different matter)

In Mike Careys 2000 Lucifer run, Lucifer refers to his father as the Triune Godhead, meaning the trinity, The source, the Presence and the void are all one in the same being. Lucifer succeeded and escaped his fathers plan into the void, where he was offered a chance of symbiosis with God where their essence would join and split again leaving 2 completely new beings, my theory is that, The presence keeps making Multiverse's and waits for someone to escape into the void, where he absorbs all their knowledge and experience, and then tasks them with creating their own multiverses, and so the cycle continues. Maybe Perpetua is just another one of The presence's creations that escaped into the void, and decided to turn and started trying to attack the presence, where as Lucifer rejected the offer and decided to fly through the void to experience other creations, other multiverses, to experience everything and nothing The source seems to be endless creativity, endless power, which pretty much sums up God, who every other god within the multiverse recognises as being someone you don't want to have to deal with

Kenan Perez well both Dream and Destiny are dead for good at the end of the DC universe. I mean in the Book of Magic Issue 4 we even see Death take Destiny. Destiny and Dream are strong obviously but only Death has no actual end

The Presence and the Source and the Hand are all the same thing. “The Hand” is even used as a title for The Source. Perpetua and everything else is a creation of The Source, and it’s been revealed time and again that the Judeo-Christian God is the Source.

Technically, the Source IS the Presence. There is a twist, however. The Source isn't an actual being. It's just the Presence's almighty energy. Heck, even the Overvoid (the white void surrounding absolutely everything) is an aspect of the Presence. J.M. DeMatteis even confirmed this not long ago! However, it is a separate being from the Presence. But nevertheless, only second to the Presence/Source.

I once I school was discussing ideas of if we can't observe something occuring then does it really occur, he at one point said "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it" at which point he stopped wanted me to finish it, at which I said "it still makes a sound" which someone how ended in suprise for him and then I followed with an physics explanation of how sound works and why it does, this lead onto a 15 minute or so conversation that took over the lesson of discussion ideas like this while the rest of the class just listened. He was a great teacher, this also happened in a biology class of all things.

Not at all an underwhelming conclusion! Damn, I was expecting an entire different DC's higher entity explained and then you make me a reader feel special :')

I just remembered the Metaverse thing in Doomsday Clock about how The Monitors and the Dark Multiverse are a result of the constant change in the Metaverse and then I also got the thought that maybe the Presence, Perpetua, and possibly even the Empty Hand are also results of the Metaverse's constant state of change.

Sorry, but Perpetua the sixth dimension Hand Super Celestial is far more powerful nigh-omnipotent than even "Darkseid/Darkseid true form" and Trigon"... All I can think of in the description of the omniverse having a "you that could have x" is a conversation from Discworld's Night Watch book. Because, for example, there is no universe in which someone who is recognizably me could kill the people they love. Because if they are capable of that, then they are someone else who just happens to look like me and/or share my name.

Yes. The first world is related to the old gods. Essentially it was a planet called Godworld whose lifeforms evolved over billions of years to attain "godhood" and they became the old gods and the planet the went on to become the second world. They went through a golden age period of scientific and cultural advancement but eventually fell into war. The god of mischief known as Lokee, son of Wotan, became the god of evil and the war escalated to the point where the planet was destroyed by ragnarok. The explosion sent a godwave across the universe that had the potential to give other planets the ability to create gods of their own. The godwave reached Earth and created the third world (this is the different earth religions through history). Eventually the god wave created New genisis and Apokalypse (this is where the New gods such as High father and Darkseid are from). This was the beginning of the fourth world. The lifeforms on this planet evolved to eventually attain godhood and had powers that mirrored the powers of the old gods but were split on moral alignment. New genisis were the gods of good and Apokalypse were the gods of evil. New genisis and Apokalypse would go on to follow in the footsteps of the old gods and wage constant war against each other.

the hand, represents the reader who holds the entirety of the DC universe in their hand, by litrally holding the pages in their hands as they flip from page to page and breath life to a story. It is a concept of where, if you believe in something, that something becomes real. And for all of DC you are their Source, their Source of power. Every reader grants superman that extra power he needs to defeat his enemy by flipping to the next page. It is both a philosophical and metaphysical question better left unanswered.

Seeing a lot of this stuff with DC, is why I usually plot out the whole cosmic hierarchy before introducing them.

The presence is literally stated to be the supreme being in DC. He IS god, why is this an argument?

. He is above Dream. The gap between Dream and Death is massive. Lucifer also stated that meeting Death is an inevitability, and his attempts to intimidate Death failed miserably in their encounter. Death has taken numerous Dreams throughout the series, has taken Destiny, took Elaine, you know only the replacement for the creator who would fodderize Lucifer, Death took everyone in DC eventually. Lucifer isn't above death hell one of his brothers ends up dying in the comics and I seriously doubt Lucifer is that far ahead and again going back to his own statement that everyone meets Death sooner or later including him.

There is in fact a stronger character in all of fiction, and it is very hard to top. SCP-3812. Obviously part of the SCP fandom it’s title is “a voice behind me” to put the character in a simple way, he is an entity, originally (maybe) a man in the scp universe. Essentially once he died he discovered he had massive over the top reality bending abilities. It becomes more meta when you find out that he is infinitely spiraling up through higher dimensions, essentially becoming as strong as the writer for that universe, and the one above that, and then above that. Never ending. Continuously spiraling up towards his own writer. Who he calls the voice behind me. (He goes quite mad). Meaning that no matter how powerful a character may be, including the reader and writer of any fiction. He will simply spiral above that fiction or even non-fiction. Impossible to contain. No amount of universal power imaginable could really stop him. Because he’d simply ascend above that narrative. I love SCP-3812
