Why Kansas City is undefeated: Game analysis

Спорт

Kansas City is on fire this NWSL season and haven't lost a game yet after 15 games. I analyzed their games to identify what's been working for them.
1:02 Temwa Chawinga
2:42 Dropping deep
3:25 High press identity
5:13 Building out the back
6:25 Claire Hutton

I think mainly is the team chemistry that makes them so successful.

Yes they look like a team that has played together for a long time, which is quite suprising as Chawinga, Bia, and Hutton are new members to the team!

Thanks for your comment. And yes 😂😂 poor timing. But to be fair Kansas City has looked worse this season without Bia!

Idk if you watch the NFL, but I feel like the KC Current squad gives me flashbacks to their big brothers in the KC Chiefs, especially the 2018 Chiefs where their offense was explosive right away. But they also had a shaky defense. The same with this KC Current team. While I understand you praising the KC backline for starting the offense, I'm still not completely sold on them with how they concede goals especially at times, late in games. Also, one player I feel that doesn't get enough praise is Vanessa DiBernardo. 4th on the team in scoring and 2nd in terms of passing. I feel like when Debinha had that hamstring injury, DiBernardo stepped up. That midfield for KC is just LOADED with talent.

I don't watch too much NFL but definitely sounds like a good analogy! Their defense is definitely weakest point for them, whereas Orlando I'd say is relatively strong front to back. Agree re: DiBernardo, she started quite well, unfortunate she picked up some injuries.
