This is completely false. Islam is on par to become UFC champion as we’re the wishes of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov and he will honor that no matter what. Secondly, he’s under UFC contract and there’s no reason to break it. Thirdly, this is against Khabib’s wishes. End of story.

Even Khabib does not want any of the Dagestani UFC fighters to join his promotion, even more so when it comes to Makhachev who is so close to reaching Khabib's dream of seeing his former belt to be wrapped around his childhood friend.

UFC is biggest platform for stardom. If Khabib wanted Makhachev to fight in his promotion, he would probably wait until Makhachev reaches the highest level of fame.

Him going to eagle would be like him climbing almost to the top of a mountain then decide to climb back down. He is in a position to only fight the best in the world for next few years. He is one fight away from 7 figure fights. He could never make anything close to that at eagle. Nothing in mma compares to being a ufc champion. No other championship is equal.

For those who don't know Eagle FC is not a competitor to UFC. Eagle FC will be a stepping stone for fighters before entering UFC. Eagle FC will be able to take in more fighters than UFC and generate massive revenue, and those 10% or so top fighters will sign a more secure contract with UFC with Eagle backing them. Eagle FC and UFC will work together. It would not make sense for Islam to go to Eagle FC, that would be a step down. Eagle FC will help fighters build a record and promote them which will elevate UFC to a new level with more rounded out/stronger fighters. Eagle FC could potentially see a competitor promoter that will work with the UFC in the years to come but Khabib has a very good relationship with DW at this time.

This question is dumb. Why would anyone that has a chance to fight with the UFC not take the opportunity unless they like Kayla and just don't want to be challenged. UFC gives you a chance to fight wayy more often than any promotion and promotes their fighters by far the best and turns normal people into superstars bc all the eyeballs that watch. No promotion is even close. The next best promotion isn't even mma its BKFC which amazes me how far they have come.

For the time being....if you want fame you go for UFC,and if you want better promotion you may have the other option

Khabib most likely wants EFC to be a pathway to UFC. Even if Khabib returns, it's most likely that he'll return to UFC itself.

The Russian/Ukrainian war and American/European sanctions might complicate the promotion globally. Too early to really know how this plays out. Situation sucks.
