For anyone not familiar, Leon Belmont was the protagonist of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. He lived around 400 years before Trevor and was, among other things, the first Belmont to use the whip, the first to fight Dracula and the one that established the Belmont clan as a dynasty of monster slayers.

Yep! He completed the creation of the Vampire Killer by imbuing the alchemical whip with the soul of his espoused, who was becoming a vampire. Some of this might be wrong, but that's the gist.

Everything you said was on point, except Leon Belmont never fought Dracula. He was friends with him, when he was still a human named Mathias. He only seen "Dracula" at the end, and he escaped.

@@TLACY606 I'm not entirely clear on how much they're staying faithful to the video games. Mathias simply wanted immortality to spite God with apparently little interest in everything else the becoming the Dark Lord entails. Think they'll lean into the lore of the Rondo of Blood and Sorrow games?

The actor is just very intense with personal stuff. His acting is amazing. Richard Armitage is one of the best. I highly recommend "Strike Back" season 1. You get Richard (trevor's VA) and Andrew Lincoln aka Rick Grimes from Walking Dead.

As a guy whos had this exact conversation no less than 3 seperate times, I feel that dread in Trevors voice on a visceral level

Yep! The Belmont dynasty is almost 1000 years old I think. Leon was the first in the 11th century and I think the last one is Julius Belmont in 1980.

The way Sypha pronounces it sounds like the French "Trés fort", which means "too strong". Not too bad!

…dunno if this helps, but in Welsh the “f” on its own makes a “v” sound. You need “ff” to make an “f” sound. So Trefor is Trevor. …as it were.
