    Forget about CTC, even base pay vs take home is pathetic. Espp - 15% Epf - 24% Tax - 34% Take home - 27%(approx) CTC normally 1.4x of base pay, which includes bonuses & RSU. Now take home is 18- 19% Everything is fine except tax, which is very high and doesn't return anything. Tax terrorism must end

    Indian government taxes salaried class people to give benefits, subsidies and free services to government employees!! One of the many reasons people try to leave India the first chance they get and settle abroad.

    Ms. Palki, I like your wide range of concerns you share on screen. However, here one major thing is missed - most of the people in major cities in India are staying in rent. Most of the owners don’t provide their PAN Cards; hence, people can’t provide proof that they’re giving rent more than ₹99999/year. Although, all of them are paying more more than this amount every month. First ask the Govt to capture such income under taxes properly. Middle class salaried are suffering a lot. Thanks for raising this!

    YES! Good point! of all the years I lived on rent not once my landlord gave me their PAN. Even though it doesn't matter in the new regime, for the old one, this would've blocked claiming full 80C benefits on rent > ₹1 lakh. Sneaky! #TaxLoot #TaxAwareness

    In Software companies CTC also includes Gratuity many people are removed before 5 years and Hence this Gratuity is never paid

    Creepy salary for TCS employees, they will give only 7-12% hike, we can't fulfill our dreams, though we have 3 years exp our base pay is 15k pm, pathetic for those who work @bps. No career growth at TCS. They will give 50% hike for new joiners and they give 7% hike for existing employees.

    In india salaried person first pays 30% income tax and then again pay 18 % gst to spend it. What a foolish system. Otherside poor Punjabi farmers with Mercedes donot pay any tax. Hum nahi sudhrengey

You should first learn about the cost of living and about the lack of benefits to tax paying person in india, specially from middle class. Also I think you have some good credentials from the class of people I have mentioned before, or you would not responded with your garbage. If u can't get the English, get a visa and as per your credentials go to Canada.

    @@nikunjsrf people who are earning till 7 lakh in India are not poor and most of the farmers in India only earn 1 lakh to 3 lakh per year ie 80% farmers+ I think above 10 lakhs even farmers have to pay taxes ., and by the way I. Canada and usa you will have to pay more taxes than India they are also consumers based economy they have gst + income tax as well that's goes upto 40% , while India is only now becoming more and more consumption based economy secondly you are comparing a developing country to a developed country which got developed by looting and plundering and kicking their own people out of thier country or Killin local population of poor people

    CTC should be banned. There should be only take home salary + pf deduction + tax deduction thats it. This gratuity, LTA should be banned.

    I left my job very Sadly, bcz of two reasons, low wages and that too as a CTC. Which means the real salary was like a joke. What's the point of all this if you can't save a sht. You give 9 hours to a company that doesn't give a sht about you. Issue is, nobody raises voice against it bcz nobody has another option rather than becoming a slave.

    NICELY EXPLAINED. You forget to mention variable pay/EVA. This variable pay depends upon various performance parameters. Except few most of the persons wont get full variable pay. Though that is also part of CTC. Apart from that at higher level there is commission again depend on various performance parameters. Finally a fat CTC will be projected for a job. But that's how private industry works

    lol in Germany you get 48% of your salary the rest goes in deductions, then you pay taxes on that taxed money like 19% VAT and even if you buy an asset on that you pay more taxes.

    Salaried person tax slab has to be reduced either by percentage or increase the deduction amount then only salaried persons can have middle class savings.

    Ideally, the employer's contribution towards the EPF should not be included in the CTC. Out of the three organizations I have worked for so far, only one was fair in this regard. Companies also deceive employees by reducing the EPF contribution to enhance their take-home salary. In one of my previous organizations, around 12,000 rupees per month were deducted towards EPF. However, when I changed that job, the EPF deduction came down to 2,500 rupees per month, even though my CTC and take-home pay increased. Such practices should be addressed legally by the government.

    Compared to europian countries, Indian take home salary is far better. Also there are diverse options for tax exemptions in India. Atleast what you paid to the govt can be taken back. But in European countries, income tax is 60% of your salary. And zero exemptions.

    Pvt sector employees in India are worst impacted. At the least identify them as investors, treat them with identity, give them silver, gold, platinum identity cards, give them privileges at all government agencies including for example priority checkin at airports
