Have you noticed Nandi in Shiv mandir we Hindus respect everything. Rivers, land, mountains anything. If environment say these things you will respect that but if Hindus then people starting making fun. Why it is just astonished me how abrahmic religion are so confused all the time. You are just repeating Hindu/vedic Advaita philosophy which Adi Shankara discovered in 2000 BC from vedas. Regarding religions - You can't put all religions in the same basket. Abrahamic religions deserve to be thrown in the garbage because they weren't built around a credible philosophy. But Hinduism was the only religion built around laws of nature or Hindu/vedic philosophies. From breaking coconuts in temples (a bloodless sacrifice which boosts our quantum consciousness) to cremation - all in sync with laws of nature. Ever wondered why all the quantum physicists from Erwin Schrodinger to Albert Einstein (who had access to vedas) wanted to be cremated like Hindus? Dvaita philosophy of Hinduism is at least 42,000 yrs old. (based on Archaeological evidence in the form of an Ivory sculpture of NARA-SIMHA (half lion/half man avatar of Lord vishnu) found in Swabian, Alps, Germany. It is carbon dated to be around 40,000 BC. It is currently in ulm city museum - Germany and it is the star attraction. The point is Hindu rituals and deities represent laws of nature. We just can't de-link Hinduism from its philosophies. Only vested interests would do that to demonize hinduism. Sankhya philosophy of Hinduism which combined both Advaita and Dvaita philosophy said that when the observer (Advaita-consciousness) stops observing - then everything ( Dvaita - matter/consciousness) stops existing. It is validated by Double slit quantum experiment. The video available on youtube. Always remember that so called modern science (without any understanding about consciousness) came from Hindu/vedic philosophies NOT the other way round.

Hello, I find your gentlemanly behavior and speech very civilized, fit to be in a British society or in India's case, Lucknovi society. However, I have so heard that we sanatani practitioners do not eat bovine meat or simian meat, because of evolutionary links. I do not understand what I am writing here, but I have heard that our soul has developed from cows soul and body from monkeys body. But it is nowhere written on paper that we are barred to consume meat from aforementioned animals.

Respecting animals is one thing, worshipping them is quite another. God did not create the creatures of the earth to worship. He created them to serve mankind and to provide sustenance for survival. The same as He provided plant life for human nutrition and health, but NOT for worshipping. A dog most certainly IS man's best friend because of its devotion to its master and instinct to protect its master. Cows don't greet you when you return home after being away for any length of time. Dogs do! Cows don't save you from danger, such as a house fire. The Rottweiler has done just that. Cows don't protect you from or warn you of intruders. A dog's do; they are your early warning system and will attempt to protect you. So, dogs ARE mans' best friend. But we don't worship them. We simply love them and take care of them like a member of the family.

Inavi achumi that's what we want we are not banning it in western country. This is India and sentiments of Hindus in their own land towards cows should be respected by others too. As we respect other religion. Hindus never eat pig, horse which are considered sacred by other community. Give respect and take respect. It is not that difficult to understand I guess.

We are taking care of our brother and sister of other community but they are insisting on just one thing. Laws are also made according to the land, rituals and customs of any country. There are not one type of law everywhere. We are not demandung such laws in Islami/Christian country. NRIs never asked for seperate laws fortheoe

VEDIC MRONS WERE COW MEAT EATERS. The 162nd hymn of the Rigvedadescribes the elaborate horse sacrifice performed by emperors. Different Vedic gods are said to have different preferences for animal meat. Thus Agni likes bulls and barren cows, Rudra likes red cows, Vishnu prefers a dwarf ox, while Indra likes a bull with droopy horns with a mark on its head, and Pushan a black cow. The Brahmanas that were compiled later specify that for special guests, a fattened ox or goat must be sacrificed. The Taittireeya Upanishad praises the sacrifice of a hundred bulls by the sage Agasthya. And the grammarian Panini even coined a new adjective, goghna (killing of a cow), for the guests to be thus honoured. The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad has reference to meat cooked with rice. Also the Ramayana, where during their sojourn in the Dandakaranya forest, Rama, Lakshmana and Sita are said to have relished such rice (with meat and vegetables). It is called mamsambhutdana. In the palace at Ayodhya, during the sacrifices performed by king Dashratha, the recipes described are far more exotic with acid fruit juices being added to mutton, pork, chicken and peacock meat and cloves, caraway seeds and masur dal also being added to various dishes. The Mahabharata has references to rice cooked with minced meat (pistaudana) and picnics where various kinds of roasted game and game birds were served. Buffalo meat was fried in ghee with rock salt, fruit juices, powdered black pepper, asafetida (hingu) and caraway seeds, and served garnished with radishes, pomegranate seeds and lemons.

Not only cows.. hindus worship the sun...as it is the primary soruce of energy to earth and thus supports all forms of life worship the trees as its gives us oxygen[we knew this long before any meaning ful inventions took place] worship rivers as it give water required for growing food crops... worship books & teachers...as they give as gyan...the most imptant asset and develops understanding how to live life and become better human being.. worship cows..as she feeds us with her milk.. when kid is born..milk is the first thing he/she looks for...from his /her mother...isnt it?? milk is the primary source of food. ..and those feeds are nothing short of a mother... worship just about anything that helps humans or beings in any manner.... hindus by nature are grateful to everybeing..... being grateful is surely not blind faith ... As per your explanation cow is a great machine, so we should accept computer, printer and internet also a holy thing. There is no dead. It is home of God and he is pastor of cows. Cows here are images of those cows there. That way have status of holiness.

With the same reasoning, all the living things on which our very existence is dependent, should not be eaten. And undoubtedly , botanical beings are our best friends. So stop eating vegetables 😆

As we have to eat to survive, we ought to choose the least capable of pain, thus we eat vegetarian or vegan diet. I think you have to be either a fool or a liar to say you truly believe slaughtering and killing a cow is equally tragic to slaughtering and killing a cucumber.

The idea of considering an animal holy is preposterous.
