At first, we didn’t care because we were going to McDonald’s, we always see Jollibee everywhere so it caught our attention, we tried eating at Jollibee and it was so delicious! Jollibee is not just a fast food restaurant for us Filipinos, it is place where we relive our childhood when we first entered it with our parents, a place where our high-school/college classmates go to after class, or a escape with coworkers after a tough day at work. Jollibee transcends through any age group and any type of people. Jollibee is like family, it can't be replaced.

I'm a US citizen, but I remember my first time traveling to the Philippines in 2007, and my girlfriend and I were traveling from Manila to Balanga City on the genises bus line. And I had my first Jollibee hamburger (the big one) and it was very tasty. I was so full, I don't think I had dinner that night. Although I prefer McDonalds (especially for breakfast) I enjoy eating at Jollibees

It's not only the food by also the connection, bonding, and get-together of Pilipinos in one particular place.

I've tried a lot of fried chicken in other fast food restaurants but nothing compares Jollibee's fried chicken (chickenjoy), I won't even get tired of eating one. The Jollibee branch in the United States seems new, and I'm sure that as the year goes by, it will become famous as well.

It is growing and acquiring loads of international fast food IPs for Jollibee to have an easy localization back door to a country.

Jollibee has been part of the filipino culture since then, it is really familly oriented. Especially if you tell a filipino kid like "you wanna go to joillibee?" then they'll be happy as hell.

I went to Jollibee for the first time in my life literally yesterday, and now KZread is recommending me this video. I feel it....my location data...its weakening. That said, I also think Jollibee is 100x better than Mcdonalds

I love jollibee so much, its part of my childhood and its my monthly reward from my parents. I have tons of photos with the bee. Way back then, every Filipino children dream is to have a bday party in jollibee. I even enjoy collecting their toys. Before, every christmas there is always a huge donation box in Jollibee for poor filipino kids so we can share joy to them by donating our preloved toys or a school supplies. In addition, Jollibee mascot is friendly looking one and as a child i prefer that because im scared of clown. I also tried other fast food in PH and in other country but no one beats Jollibee for me. The only food i like in Mcdo is their ice cream and french fries. I dont like their spaghetti coz its too westernized and taste sour maybe thats why Filipino kids prefer jollibee over Mcdo.

I'm Filipino. McDonald's is super popular in the PH. I don't know why people are suggesting it is second tier to Jollibee. From what I have seen they are the same tier of popularity, if McDo isn't slightly ahead. Chicken McDo > chicken Joy

in Indonesia, we have Richeese Factory... a fast food restaurant chain from Indonesia, with the main menu of fried chicken. Halal Fried Chicken. If you love spicy chicken, you should try it in Indonesia... Very recommended

I think McDonald's should change its marketing strategy in the Philippines to keep up. . I am still impressed with McDonald's even if it had more stores back in my college days.. I think I have gone to either Jollibee or Greenwich more. In fairness I also loved the spaghetti in McDonalds but I like the burger more and fries.

Honestly as a pinoy, I would like to say that lately Jolibee’s quality is going downhill and not all pinoys prefer or like Jolibee. Almost all may enjoy it but some have no choice and some settle for what’s there. [ keyword: some ] [ to all those who love Jolibee at baliw na baliw para dun, calma mo sis, di ko sinabi na pilit mga tao mag Jolibee SINASABI KO LANG na lately nakikita ko na Hinde na ganun ka sarap ang Jolibee Kasi bumababa na ang quality and Hinde lahat ng Pinoy gusto ang Jolibee in general/more than mcdo. I addressed the part about not all pinoys liking it because of the people who are acting like McDo is just a second options for pinoys when I know quite a few people who would rather have McDo truly rather than Jolibee and their childhood was also McDo. They often get called traitors for not liking Jolibee more when they’re pinoy and at this point it’s not even funny anymore and which fast food restaurant being someone’s whole personality as a pinoy is so gross. But anyways, I find both are good, though nowadays I’m disappointed at Jolibee- BUT with that being said, nothing can beat their burger steak; tapos sa McDo the Nuggets are so yumz👍🏻 ]

I am a jollibee kitchen crew when i was a working student then, after graduation i work again in jollibee marketing assistant for 1 year, after 10 years I’ve worked in Saudi Arabia mcdo as marketing personnel, joliibee and mcdo maintained 100% FSC (food,service, cleanliness) jollibee taste is the best!👋😀

The best thing about Jollibee is their quality control. I'm not even talking about the taste yet, just the consistency by which their products and service is delivered.

Simple explanation....Jollibee represents Filipino culture, it reminds most Filipinos back when they were still a child and their parents or relatives used to take them there to cheer them up, spend family time or celebrate a special occasion. Why? Because not a lot of Filipinos can afford to take their children to fancy restaurants or expensive outings. Whilst it may seem cheap and weird to spend quality time with your family in Jollibee you have to understand this is part of the Filipino family traditions, rich or poor. When we Filipinos take a bite on that crispy Chickenjoy served with gravy poured over rice , the nice sweet spaghetti bolognese with hot dogs or the warm, sweet peach mango pie it brings us back happy childhood memories, it reminds us of the time we spent with our families. Jollibee is Philippines' national pride and treasure!

I think it was genius for Jollibee to market for kids. And it has been a cycle. Kids liking Jollibee, then growing up as adults and then letting their kids experience Jollibee. It seems like a tradition now.

Here in Madrid Spain a lot of people love to eat in KFC and Burger King and Jollibee.

Jollibee's strategy is very obvious. It will try to introduce itself in the US market while being patient and to keep growing old with its younger market. By 2035, most kids who are introduced to jollibee in the states will also have that same feeling of joy, nostalgia and ratatouille effect, that jollibee will start to have that explosive growth by then.

I actually love both, but honestly when it comes to taste I choose Mc Donalds. Why I love Jollibee? It weaves in Jobees aura, marketing and food taste consistency. Jobees burger is one of my faves then the chicken and its juicy crispy consistency.

The thing I love most about Jollibee is their pics don't lie. At McD, they always show this great looking burger and when you order it, it's a sad version of the pic. Everything I ordered from Jollibee looked just like their pic! The first time I ordered the chicken burger, I expected a sad version of the pic and ordered extra food thinking I would need it, but was surprised that it looked exactly like the pic. No sad burger and had so much food there was extra! Plus everything I ordered was tasty!

Do you mix your palabok though? 🙄 I hate it when foreign people doesn't mix their sauces into their pastas looool, I don't want un-sauced pasta in my mouth 😂. Also Halo-Halo the dessert. It literally means Mix-Mix, you're supposed to mix it to get the ingredients equally. A lot of people complain why it's tasteless, bijj you're supposed to mix it in order to get the ingredients, you're only getting the ice 😭

What really set Jollibee apart is their marketing, they had specifically targeted family. They marketed themselves from the beginning as a place for families to enjoy together, something that you go to after Sunday mass. If you know your market you could position yourself to the market's value and in this case "family" for the Philippine market and it would also be nice to mention that their Mascot is loved by almost everyone, children and adults would squeal in delight and runs for a hug every time Jollibee is around, something that I could not say with Ronald McDonald. And additional info McDonald's at first didn't sell rice with their chicken something that an ordinary Filipino would find amusing.

Here in south-Africa we are lucky to have a lot of variety. We have our own American themed takeaways that produce much better burgers than McDonalds AND Burger King (Steers, Spur, Wimpy...), Indian Cafes with deliciously spicy Burgers, Portuguese themed cafes , deliciously spiced, Middle-Eastern Type Swarma type Burgers, delicious Barbeque flavors, Far Asian Franchises with Chinese/ Thai/ Filipino influences, Malay Franchises with traditional Cape Malay Burgers etc. Amongst these, McDonalds and Burger King are considered the most tasteless, only popular since they are everywhere and thus easily available and cheap. Personally I will pay ten times more somewhere else to eat a proper burger, mostly at Indian or Malay Franchises. I always buy somewhere besides McDonalds/ Burger King if possible.
