Richest bcz few business syndicates show HQ in America. Deduct them, and statistics will show US as one of the poorest. False propaganda of being Richest, is exposed.

Americans see the car as an extension of themselves. A status symbol to boost their ego's. All what the Americans think, is what others think about them. We, in europe use the car for practical use. Not to show off. Americans do not want to be seen in a Station Wagon. Embarressed because other might think that he or she is a familyman or-woman. And they need to fill up the big parkingspeces around the malls with their Pick.ups and SUV's. I'm so glad i live in Europe.

Remember the days when none of this was necessary because the VAST majority of people were just decent, hard working, law abiding folks. I miss those days

It's not our "perceptions". When they handed out those checks and home prices spiked, we had to give up on the idea of owning a home.

Housing should not be a for profit industry controlled by wall st. It is a human need that needs to address the housing needs of all people regardless of income. For those that can afford luxury housing that is a separate matter.

The metrics used to measure the health of the economy are flawed on purpose so whoever is in power can look good. For example, the poverty line for a single person is significantly lower than the current market rate for a one bedroom apartment.

Only idiots would think "declining inflation" means things are getting cheaper. It's basically like a thing was $10 two months ago, it was $15 last month, and now it's $20. But the inflation was 50% last month and 33% this month. A "declining inflation" yay!

CNBC wants rates to stay higher for longer so they don’t have to work. Just live off money in the bank. In order for that to happen they need to convince the fed the economy isn’t about to break. And real estate isn’t on its last breadth with interest, tax and insurance costs exploding.

This is CNBC so I will not get the full picture nor the whole truth behind why so many cities are going broke, but based off what I'm seeing as I travel across this country I would say that the massive influx of people from around the world who are either working for cash under the table while collecting public benefits from state and federal governments, or just not working at all and collecting benefits is a huge contributing factor to not only these states, but also to the entire country as a whole for the reason they're going broke. If my government tries to take one more penny than they already are from my paycheck I'm out and will be ducking under the table also.
