I was there few decades ago and had an accident on a chartered motorbike. Still had my scar visible today. But apart from that, it was a great place to chill. Those days there were no big resorts as cocogrove and others. Thanks for this great update of Siquijor. A brilliant vlog Micheal👍🎉

What a beautiful island ! So glad you took us all along. Your friend is a cool guy, very kind of him to join you and provide wheels so you can visit different areas on the island. I wonder how inexpensive, smaller long term rentals are on the sunrise side of the island. Not only do I like the larger waves, but also I'm more of a morning person. Great job on the video! 😎🤙

No taxis yet there, the new development will be banning trike entry and instead have free electric busses, for now trikes allowed in as they added just one bus from Robinson going around. I hope grab and taxis start there. The trikes that have numbers in the front are registered and charge proper prices at least

Siquijor is one of the better places in ph imo. One major thing which no travel vloggers seem to mention about the place is the fishing and swimming ban that has come into force this year. I imagine paying all that money to stay at coco grove and then not even being able to swim in the sea 😂

It’s not all the time just 3 days every month and I believe only around San Juan area. I know for sure you can’t swim in the marine sanctuary and coco grove beach on those dates. Just something to bear in mind, especially for those who are travelling from far to visit siquijor.

Here's something to think about: What would the Philippines look like had it not be granted independence by the US? If the Filipinos could see that outcome, would they think differently about that episode?

@@ThatPhilippinesLife I think the Philippines would look similar to Hawaii and with higher standard of living. Now in that alternate reality, would Filipinos think differently about independence from the US?

Cost of living will be high. At present setting, life is slow phase , chill vibes. That’s why many westerners like Americans are deciding to retire in the Philippines and not in Hawaii which is more higher standard of living.
