Last time I checked, Japanese people like to line up to buy stuff that are hyped (such as cakes and iPhones). The more people line up for stuff, the more everyone else wants to join lining up. Although maybe they can't line up now because of COVID, I can imagine even non app developers getting all caught up in the hype of Mac Minis.

As a brazilian, lemme just comment on two things: 1- Brasília may look like a futuristic city, but a future imagined many decades ago. It's impossible to live there without a car. Also, it's not a city designed with a growth plan. The outskirts look absolutely NOTHING like downtown pictures. Besides, we all hate it because it's completely disconected from the rest of the country and yet it houses all of our federal government. 2- iPhones without charges are more of a big deal around here because an official iphone charger goes for around BRL 200,00. That's 1/5 of our minimum wage. By the way, the iphone pro max starts at around BRL 10,000. That's 10 times our minimu wage. Yeah, that's crazy, we know.

Rodolfo ----- I'm also Brazilian and totally agree with your comments about Brasilia. Brazil has many iconic and wonderful cities, but Brasilia is the worst designed city in South America and maybe the world. There was no thought given in Brasilia to human oriented scale.

With the Performance seen in the new consoles which are basically SOC's, what Apple Silicon has the potential to be @ 5nm is exciting. Within a few years Mac may be the preferred computer gaming platform.

I bought an M1 air last week. It’s incredible. I had no plans on buying a laptop, then Apple silicon happened and I used all my “new games consoles money”. No regrets.

Although, Rio used to be the capital of Brazil, and it was the capital until 60 years ago or so.

There’s definitely critiques on the city center because you have to drive hella days to get anywhere lol

I live in Brasilia. The city is modern, was created in the 60', and looks this way because it was conceived this way for a contest, the winner was the engineer Lucio Costa, and the architect of most buildings in the center of the city was Oscar Niemeyer. Some say that looks like an airplane, but the design was a concept to looks like a dragonfly. The city is green most part of the year, but during a period of the year the climate is arid, and the city looks more redish. There's almost no rain from April to September.

Reading your comment I just recalled that I read about that. Although you might call that as modern and innovative it still might lack of comfortability. It is especially related to those cities that are built to look good from a sky view. It was really noticeable when I visited newly built 'futuristic' city of Astana, where there are just fields of empty space, although the city looks great from the main tower. I would choose the historic value of European cities over the 'modern' cities that are built today.

In Japan, the Desktop penetration rate is about 34%. Laptop penetration is 69%. In most cases, Japanese houses are pretty tiny and tight spaces. Therefore, ain't surprise if people willing to buy a smaller pc for space save. However, most local Japanese are very domestic orientated. I believe M1 boosting their sales by 14.4% in a week, most buyers are foreigners who live in Japan or MNC companies who are buyers. So I don't think that is local Japanese who bought it.

Rio was the capital until Brasilia was built in 1960. Reminds of Canberra in Oz or Washington DC. In Brazil the motivation was to move people away from the overpopulated coastal area of Rio de Janeiro. .. have had a Mac Mini since ‘15 that replaced my MacBookPro and never looked back. Still use a dual core i5 combo drive. Easy to travel with too, just need a long HDMI. Makes for focussed work time to get more from traveling (when traveling was a thing).

Love the New M1 Mac Mini, I used it to replace my iMac Setup. 👍

I got my iPhone SE 2 nd Generation near the release. It came with the charger and the ear buds that connects via the Lightning port. My wife just got the iPhone SE 2 and it came with neither.

Loved it and used it for about a week before I started getting small pink squares on my display (usually related to GPU failure). Looked it up and found out some people on Mac rumors and Apple’s official forum were dealing with the same issue. Ended up returning mine. Now I’m waiting for the problem to be acknowledged and fixed by Apple before getting a new one. I’m surprised not to see more reviewers talking about this issue.

I have 2014 i3 Mac Mini upgraded to 500gb SSD and I absolutely love it. Only problem I can’t edit HEVC H.265 from DJI Mavic Air 2 and GoPro Hero 9. So I’m going to have to upgrade.

I actually just got the iPhone 12 and got the otter box they had at the store. It’s really slick feeling so I ordered the later case and I’m certainly not as confident if I did drop it but the grip is really nice and I appreciate that it covers the entire camera module.

I’m holding out for a Mac Nano in an iPod classic form factor !

Back when I use to build my own PCs with AMD processors and the latest video cards I would have hard drive failures all the time from the heat. So I hooked up and 8 duct fan and incrementally scaled down the duct to 3 inches and hooked it to the exhaust fan on the back of the computer and vented the other end to the outside. You could feel the wind being sucked under the desk and into the PC. That thing never overheated again.

The mac mini is pretty good. If you're in the USA it's also a decent price. Lots of people doing photoshop and need a good but not great computer.

The m1 chip mother board is a lot smaller, the heat sink , fans etc are a lot smaller. So there’s loads of UNUSED SPACE inside the Mac mini m1 case compared to the Mac mini intel. Leaves plenty of options for someone with the know how to MODIFY UP ONE OF THESE inside the case. Like adding this thunderbolt hub inside the case some how with a modified slot in the case. JUST A THOUGHT 💭

I want the Mac mini because I want to edit some game clips and streams because the price point is far to good.

Maybe the cam watch could be used for sports, where you don’t have to worry to break or lose your phone but u still can take pics, plus the best camera is the one you have most at hand

In Japan, Tokyo is referred to as Tokyo Metropolitan not Tokyo Prefecture. In Japan, Apple is popular. In fact there are more iPhones than any others of any brand.

I think because japanese is building software that can optimize with new chip. So they working on it very earlier, can do more testing.

Just for context, São Paulo is the economic and technological capital of Brazil and everything pretty much flows down there. (The state has a gdp more than twice that of Colombia)

i use a macbook for my desktop. and thats only so i can take it with me if i ever feel like it. but the mini i almost got. now with the new chips, its like why not. especially for what they are capable of doing. not everyone needs top end specs, and apple makes devices that can do just great enough to get away with and be quality.

@@NotAdamSnider i just sold my macbook pro the other day because i dont need a laptop anymore. i got a desktop pc and whenever i was in a situation that i would use my laptop, i would just use my ipad pro (still the home button one). They're pretty great tho, id reccomend going for a brand new one tho because mine had the butterfly switches or whatever that everyone hated and ill be honest they were ok but i definitely prefer more travel

Apple will really crush it when they will release the upcoming chip for professionals workstations like iMac Pro and Mac Pro, that will be exciting!

my interest in Mac Mini the most is the price, and that comes with M1 processor with all it's properties. But the latest news that almost all iOS apps developer suddenly lock their app from running in desktop is kind of a down, i decide to wait where it will go from there, so not buy yet

What about the Bluetooth issues with the mac mini M1. It makes using Bluetooth devices completely useless (magic trackpad, speakers, keyboards, airdrop, ......)

I stopped using zendesk and any of those online chat assistant software plugins because they are a third-party vulnerability, and they use the data from your business chats for their own purposes and to share with third parties and fourth parties. Actually since I took any form of chat communication out of my online shops, I sell triple what I used to sell before, and I save time and money on employees and worthless conversations that do not end up in closing a sale. The reason I sell so much in my online stores ($35,000 profit last month working 3 hours every 3 days) it's because I don't use zendesk. If I did, people would waste all my day chatting trivial questions. I have found that if you just leave them to fumble around through the shop and make their own decisions, they still buy the stuff. Definitely wouldn't waste my money on your recommended zendesk product. It's overpriced, and it's invasive with the customer. None of us like them and they are never helpful to us as customers, and so as an online shop owner of seven online shops, and 130 websites in total, I know that it is futile to use chat assistance to increase sales. The only people who connect for a chat are never serious about buying anything. They are just trolling. "Reaching out to customers", when they haven't asked you to talk to them, usually pisses them off. You should know, because it pisses you me and everybody off when you're on a website and a message pop up appears and somebody starts trying to hassle you to buy something. You must be freaking joking !!!!! obviously this is a paid placement by zendesk for you to promote them for a price. I don't blame you for doing that, but I do have to tell everybody that you're just being paid to say that, but the zendesk is definitely not what they told you to claim it is. And the Slash lulater means you make money if somebody signs up. So you're not recommending something useful to people, you're just trying to make a commission by getting them to sign up. That's pretty unethical considering zendesk is a rip-off. Your business ethics affect your image, so I would think deeply about which products you agree to promote as an affiliate. You say if you don't use this you won't be in business for very long. I have been in business for well over 12 years now and 35,000 profit for 3 hours work every 3 days every month isn't bad considering I don't have to use zendesk or any chat with anybody. In fact I never have to talk to a customer at all . you obviously haven't been making money online with e-commerce for 28 years like myself. Very disappointed and lowering my view of your image because of that paid recommendation about zendesk. I thought you were above those things

I think it’s hard to make a comparison for desktop PCs, ‘cos unlike laptops, a lot of these desktop PCs are assembled, parts doesn’t even come from the same company. Others are upgraded part by part. Unlike the mac mini that you definitely have to buy as a whole every time you upgrade something.

Lots of people are waiting to see how the laptops line up looks before jumping in and the MAC Mini is a way to get an M1 now. Most have a usable intel laptop they can get by with until options are more clear

For professional workloads who cares of it renders a little faster with no egpu support, limited expansion and no 10gb ethernet? Save some time exporting but it takes 10 times longer to save to the production server.

I've had plenty of people i know that go a whole month without buying the new iPhone charger and the people I know that travel will keep using the older chargers at home often keeping more than one for the house and travel with the new charger

It would be nice either for the same price or a little more that Apple would sell like a starter kit for the Mac Mini with keyboard,mouse,of corse the Mac Mini and the cables you need for those devices. I might pay a little extra for a Mac Mini bundle instead of purchasing everything separate and it comes in one big box. Would anyone get that if it was a thing? Great video!
