Why is Anger Management Important?

Let’s look at how the Bible answers this question. How important is it to control your anger or control your temper? Does it really matter if you lose your cool once in a while? Well, yes. It turns out that how you handle anger is more important than being well accomplished in the pursuits of life.

Amen. This is an area I struggle in. Another proverb says the fool is quick to anger. I find myself being very foolish. With the help of the LORD, I'll because like the wise.

Hi Pastor Mike, thank you for your videos! PLEASE do more videos on anger...AND especially PATIENCE!!!!! I struggle with this and I would be so appreciative of a longer lesson on this. my selfish lack of patience really holds me back in my walk with the Lord. Thanks for considering!

@jparkerwillis haha! :) I’m so thankful the Lord has really grown me in this area since I wrote that comment. I still struggle from time to time but I'm so glad it's SO much better! Thanks to His Spirit and the content on this channel!

I think one of the consequences of uncontrolled anger esp in close relationships is it causes these people to close their heart to the angry person as a way to stem the hurt with the result being the angry person feels isolated or disconnected from those they love most. The cure is making ourselves vulnerable through repentance, accepting responsibility for our anger and seeking forgiveness without excuse or self justification. Finding the root cause of anger can help too - is it pride, fear of rejection, a sense of entitlement unresolved hurts? Identifying and overcoming the issurs that contribute to or feed our anger will help deflate and make anger mote manageable. The fruit of the Spirit is self control with God's help we can get a grip on our anger and overcome it.

Darren Russell Kennedy post traumatic stress disorder. People that are military veterans have it ,or rape victims. Even people that survived a really horrible car wreck could have it.

eish , sorry to hear that … I’m not gonna say i understand , i was homeless for a few year, lost family , was a drug addict .. for me learning about God helped me realise its not him but i should be angry at the evil in the world … not preaching to you, not saying im in your shoes .. just sharing abit. Honestly people irritate me too, but I’m trying to get better because God satisfies me , and its what he wants from me … im sure Gods bigger than a medical condition , but i also dont know his plan for you, so im just sharing because its true in my life. not trying to convert you lol ..
