I came to the same conclusion after learning several languages and observing how gender forms work: 1. That linguistic genders do not necessarily imply genders in biological sense, 2. That in some, if not all, languages, the masculine form is the original form, 3. That in some, if not all, languages, the masculine form can represent mixed/general/neutral/unspecified/inclusive genders while the feminine form is specific/exclusive.

It is also useful to present an example from Arabic poetry, where the pronoun “He” (i.e هو) is more often used when referring to a lover (for example). This is even when it is inferred that the Poet is referring to a Female, he will still refer to her as “He”. “He” in arabic can indeed be a neutral pronoun

I always joke with my buddies about modern Arabic songs. The singer could be a male and the song will literally translate to what appears to be a love song addressed to another male, due to the masculine pronouns used. For instance a male singer would be singing "habibi whom I love ..." and the word habibi is masculine, yet every person who speaks the language understands that the the masculine form of the word is used to address a female... That's the effect of Standard Arabic on local dialects.

Allah also refers to himself in the quran as we like in the aya: 75-(وَلَقَدۡ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٞ فَلَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمُجِيبُونَ) And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 76-(وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ) And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.

Great video. Just a quick English note, since it was mentioned. "it" is the 3rd person neutral singular pronoun for a thing, whereas "they" is the3rd person neutral singular pronoun for a being (as well as being a plural pronoun). I know there's some who like to complain about this matter, but it indeed is an aspect of English. For example, if you're telling a story and you say "so I was at the school, and I ran into the principal...", and I have a question, i'd ask "oh ... what did they say?" cuz i Do Not know the gender yet. But in any case, this aspect of English hasn't been used much in translation of the Quran, translations tend to translate and transfer the Binary of Arabic Huwa/Hiya, regardless of which of the 3 Arabic aspects of Masculine for usage it is.

@@vernize776 i know you wont give a thought and just say whatever you like but here : i have a question for you : have you ever thought about how do atoms work? ok you may answer yeah i do ok i say do you know the link between programming a PC (how do people make programmes to make THAT pc work ???) and programming the growth and functions of a human body ?? you may need to take a dive into this and use your brain that was given as gift for you :D i ll give you an explanation as much simple as i can and i hope you ll get it after i hope you used your brain and take at least a month to think about this ok to to explain the first example i gave you about PC, we all know on itsown the PC is nothing BUT when the human interfer and uses the logic to make that happen what makes it deffirent from us ??? who gave us the way we think with ??? ok now the link between that and our creation, as programming PC our body needs programms to be able to execute any job given to him, in with the programm iis the DNA there is a lot of videos about DNA on youtube the DNA works to give you a body shape, a specific height and strength, etc ... ok these DNAs from what do they been built?? you ll find the way atoms were connected in a certain way to make that happen and what i said applies also to the atoms :D prepare yourself i ll give you something mindblowind the atoms themselves were programmed and this is beyond our comprhension for example lets take Hydrogene and Oxygene we all know they both are the most inflammable gas's or are needed to make combustion or reaction ok now what happens when they both get link into the form of H2O :D can you take a guess ??? they form the most powerfull thing that extinguishes fire haha funny now lets give the point where they do share the same thing i said about earlier, in programming we use : if, else, check, execute, print, init, start sesion, endsession, etc ... if you use your brain just a little bit you ll see how the growth of a human body is the same as programming i hope my point is clear because what am saying here will take days upon days to explain and i did my best to make it as short as the comment section can take or if you didnt benefit from this knowledge there must be someone who will and i hope this will not lead into any misunderstanding

I don’t think so, English doesn’t have gendered nouns, but I think it does apply to other European languages, like Spanish. Latine/Lantinx shouldn’t exist as Latino is correct, just like the video entails.

In Kurdish, we still use "aw" for "He", "She", and "It". The language is gender free when it comes to pronouns, so we always struggle when we learn a new language.

not really. French, Spanish, Italian, etc... have two grammatical genders, that's not changing (despite some attempts). There have been attempts at introducing neuter in Spanish for example... haven't caught on that much yet. For example, not "latino" or "latina", but "latine". German, Dutch, Russian, etc, officially have 3 genders, Male, Female, Neuter. I do not know about Celtic languages, someone more educated than me can elaborate. English Generally has no gender, except for pronouns and French loanwords/French influenced words. The "they/them" pronoun does function as a neuter singular pronoun in English. That's been an ancient aspect of English, dating back to 14th century. Not the creation of Feminism. There have been attempts at creating new pronouns, like "xe" or "ze" or whatever,.... they haven't really caught on in English.

Hello ,Salam . Im from Azerbaijan.I like to learn from your lessons. Thanks for your help to people who don't know arabic . Lately I have a question from Qur'an I hope you can answer me ,it from Ayat 21 surah 21. In last sentence says " Ve kanu lana Abidin" They were slave to "US" . But other sentences Allah says "Be slave of only me ". Why here he use "Us" ? وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاء الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ

Wa alikom asslam, In Arabic the plural form is used to convey greatness if the speaker is one. Allah uses the pl. form in certain positions in the Quran with this purpose. Arabs also use that method even in their everyday language, so it is not a strange concept. Hope this answers the question in shaa Allah.

As ALLÅH said : “to you your DEEN (i.e. your system of belief and way of life) , and to me mine ‼️ No compulsion in DEEN ‼️ Every one will bare his/her own burden. The mission of Muslims is to convey the message ‼️ as for the outcome, it pertains the ALLÅH ‘s dominion exclusively ‼️ And ALLÅH , ‏عزَّ و جلَّ , said that only the sincere ones (those who seek the truth and guidance) will be guided ‼️ Not those who when opening the Qur’ān, their intention is to found errors (i.e. they don’t realise that this state of mind shows that they would rather want God to be out of his reach rather to finally found God and know Who He is and what He , the Almighty One , wants ‼️ Hence the first ayat , after the “al-Fātiha” is recited , starts with : “This is the Book (finally) , in it NO DOUNT !! A guidance (only) for those who have TAQWAH‼️ TAQWAH entails fear (out of being pious, i.e. out of sincerity , i.e. truly sincere to be guided and be god conscious , i.e. in awe to discover HIM , and then ‏إن شاء الله - ‏insha’ALLAH - in awe after discovering HIM
