There seem to be other differences : - singular : talking about the person - plural : talking about actions, likely executed by malika

This is actually the correct answer. God has a council of beings around Himself (angelic & spiritual) who work for Him, which are called “Al-Mali’ul-‘Al’ā” (The Supreme Council/The Divine Assembly/The Highest Elite Chiefs) which even the Bible talks about. God doesn’t need them, but merely chooses to use them just as He chose to create & use us-and they carry out God’s desired actions, including driving the clouds and other natural phenomenon (as the Qur’an frequently mentions) which is why God says things like “WE have sent down rain from the sky” since it was His spiritual subordinates that also participated in this action. The same goes for revealing Scripture & Revelation like the Qur’an (see Surah Al-Qadr), which is why God says “WE have sent down the Qur’an” and so on, since Gabriel and other angels took part. Hence these are all somewhat of a “team effort” (with God being in full control of course), which is why the plural “We” and “Us” and “Our” is used. So in fact it IS a literal plurality of beings, but it doesn’t make those other angelic & spiritual beings ‘gods’ or worthy of worship in any way, shape or form. They are merely “honored servants” (‘ibādun mukramūn’) as the Qur’an calls them, who are under God’s command, and have no knowledge or power of their own but what they are given. This is why the ancient peoples before us were so lost & misguided-they worshipped the angels and spirits (jinn) as Gods and divine beings (the polytheistic pantheons of old), whereas the Qur’an clarifies to us that they are merely servant-creations of God. It doesn’t deny their existence, or even their influence on the world, but merely denies their alleged “divine” status which many people have falsely labeled them with. The Qur’an reminds us that God alone is perfect, unique, and worthy of worship-so we should serve Him alone, just as these angelic & spirit-beings themselves do.

This is wrong, when Allah spoke to Musa, he used We, and we know He spoke to him directly, not through an angel. Understanding it this way would give a trinitarian an argument against you. The reason is only one, it is for grandiose.

When I learnt a little bit Arabic from mufti Tariq masood channel BasalateAdam I got this question but today I am suggested your video
Once upon I was a full time debatore with Christians.at that time I faced this question several times. But later we studied that نحن is a majestic singular pronoun. Anyway جزاك الله that you answered my question. This question I asked you few days ago on an other video.
Moreover, we is only used for first person. Whenever Allah is mentioned in third person, only singular pronouns are used.
Great video

Hello thank you very much for your very informative and helpful videos on Quran and Arabic. I have noticed recently that in recitation of Quran, Arabs place a Kasrah where there is a sokun. E.g. I would have said "fa'bodni" whereas I think you pronounce it as "fa'bodeni". Am I correct or is my hearing bad? Thank you again

Because qalqalah.

He actually said fa'bodni when he read the Ayah yet there are some cases when we use kasrah instead of sokun which of them is when you have two sokun lined up so you have to change the first sokun into a Kasrah to make it easier and better for pronouncing.
Jazakallah
Very well explained video. The same goes for The Hebrew Bible as the are both semitic languages. I'll share this with my Christian colleagues who believe it means plural of numbers Instead of Greatness
Bohot bohot shukriya
Ustadh could you talk about the use of anzala rather than nazzala when Allah talks about sending down rain(Surah Al Mu'minun, Verse 18) in a future video? Thanks, and I am a big fan of your content!
You just answered my Question
Thank you

Nice, JAK. I also believe that when Allah wills something that involves others like revealing the Quran in which the words of Allah need a mediator like Angel Gabriel, He use “we” but when Allah refers to Him alone He uses “I”.

Your absolutely right. Long time ago a non Muslim asked me using plural and singular about Allah in Quran. My answer was, Using plural for a reason either for greatness and respect of Allah or include Allah, prophets and angels. for example Allah is a boos or principle commands prophets and angels for a duty. So their goal is the same to work together for humanity and religion. In many language including English using plural for respect, but for others not for self.

Thanks for information. But I heard different things about it.
ما شاء الله ..
Allah words are precise and none knows the temptation except Allah and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge, I believe he means he, him means him ,we means we, the spirit of the Allah is one, the physical dies and Allah knows where to place his message.
Thanks

Jazak Allah khayr for the explanations..As per my understanding also when Allah use the pronoun we is also to show us human to be humble..As for the word I or ana in arabic has an arrogance. Thats is why in business communications they advise us to use we and not I when writing or speaking to someone.
There are speeches including the one above about rain are the speeches of angels as the carry out the command God Almighty and mentioned to make sure to the listeners that the angels were responsible for many works related to the universe under His command. Like سورة القدر for example. Kindly discuss further on my above comment, please, ya Ustadh kareem.
