the worst is, every one in 3 missiles is operational, meaning you have to create about 9 missiles at most for 3 reports, so basically what gajin is saying here is "get good kiddo"

If you play higher tier and get lucky, you can easily get 1 to 2 missiles per day.

Yes but each missile took way less resources and each time you got what was wrong correct you got 3 resource boxes

as soon as I get back into this game, gaijin fucks this crafting thing up.

Yep you need to test 2 bombs to get access to market. AND when I got there, I was able to sell materials only for day. Some materials had cost even a bit more that 0.8, but rn you have a queue over than 7000 people... with price tag 0.10 you have a chance that something will be sold, but it is miserable. Still got my 2GC and 1 report for bomber.

Once I tried this game, I grinded 10 matches with a tier 1 tank, and somehow didn't research tier 2

Unfortunately that is how long it takes to grind War Thunder. And each rank gets harder and harder to grind. I’ve been playing this game for over 3 years and I’m still at Rank V ground in my main nation.

As far as the slower grinding is concerned, you're kind of missing the fact that there are multipliers for using particular modes or higher rank vehicles which significantly cuts the amount of time to get mission score for the event

That’s true, I should have mentioned it as I’ve heard that naval battles especially are a good way to grind the event. That being said, a lot of people don’t enjoy naval or don’t have rank IV+ vehicles.

@@27jagers Yeah, you are right, and to be honest I think whatever is faster both previous events and the current one are far too grindy for the average player to realistically complete, and anti-player measures like limiting the number of boxes/data available per day only makes this worse

@@27jagers I know it’s very late but I was able to get ~8000 points in one navel arcade battle with my skr-7 lineup. They take usually about 20ish minutes although I’m definitely off of that number cause I haven’t played navel in a while

Are we not going to mention the fucking stupid grind for 9 missiles which the test part doesn't even work most of the time I just went ahead a bought the damn reward that I wanted(losat) better use of my time

I have a job and i don't have the time anymore to play it. It's kinda miserable ngl cause the losat would be hella cool to have

Yeah, if this event came a few years ago I may have been willing to grind it, nowadays I have no time for that.

i say the worst part is the fact that this event is during a school year when 70% of the community including me CAN'T grind

as we can see, they still didn't learn anything on how why that review bombing happen, stuff like this only hurts the game

In short, the war thunder event only matters for people who can actively no life the game. Nothing has changed. On a different note, I much prefer the score based events as opposed to time. The time ones allow people to afk too much and kind of ruin matches (of which I am also guilty). At least with the score based ones you are actually rewarded for playing well by being able grind the event quicker. Also when being able to sell components on the market actually matters is early in the event. I was able to sell on day 2 of the event and things sold for about 0.20 - 0.30 a piece. The price always decreases as the event continues so getting in early is the key, if you have the time. If you don't, the event is nearly worthless unless there is a cool vehicle you want, which this one has none except the low tier plane.

3:42 "the majority of you would benefit by being able to sell these resources on the gaijin market place" Sounds like a great idea, except I can't use the market place. Gaijin has stopped transferring console accounts over to PC.

Yeah, that really sucks and I have no idea why they did that. One of my friends had to restart the grind with a new PC account because he couldn’t get the console account transferred. Anyway, the marketplace is not as useful now because of all the changes they made to the event.

I passively got enough material for one test just from my daily challenge runs, but I won't be going further then that, I'll grab the Japanese plane with the weird missile as a collector thing and move on/sell the excess.

I'm gonna be about 2 missiles short of getting anything

0:59 the last time they did the "specific tasks" was the Winter event you showed in 2021, they changed it to a mission score style similar to the current crafting event (I know this one is different and is also mission score based) but with a lower mission score requirement being 40k across 2 days instead of the current events 75k in 1 day (bs in my opinion). Though if I recall, wasn't the last crafting event also mission score based? The april fools one with the QN506 as the reward tank? 4:18 also you dont need to grind 2/3 of the way there, you just need to test 2 missiles (the first 2 always fail from what I can tell). And earlier on in the event in the first day or 2 the resources were around 80 cents.

My bad, I should have mentioned that the last summer and winter events had a mission score style. I do believe however I did mention that last April crafting event had a mission score style. My understanding was that you need to test 3 missiles to get the top tier reward, and you need to test 2 to be able to sell materials. If it is as you said and the first 2 missiles always fail, wouldn't that mean you need to grind 4/5 of the way to the top tier reward? On the first day materials were selling for quite a bit, but that's because only a few people will be able to test 2 missiles and unlock the ability to sell materials in the first day or two of the event.

@@27jagers If I remember correctly I was able to sell my materials after testing both the first 2 failed missiles, I could be mistaken though, it may have been after crafting 2 working ones, I wasn't paying attention to it much sadly. But yes the first 2 did always fail for everyone I talked to about the event, but it may be random which ones fail after that. I think in order to actually get 3 working missiles it took me crafting 8 or 9 of them as well btw, so a very annoying to grind event. And yes I'm aware it's because only a few people got there, it's kind of dumb imo that you can only sell 20 of them and that it was limited (unless you buy a material from the shop and unpack it, you gain an extra box for each one you buy and unpack).

I much prefered just grinding out stars to unlock vehicles, hmw renown is a lot of fun (the only event vehicle I ever got). My issue with the crafting events is how convoluted they are, i think a simpler crafting event with a lower grind time could be okay,

@@dosidicusgigas1376 The thing I hated most about the current crafting event was "Oh this part in the missile failed? Well instead of deconstructing it for parts after it crashed into the water, you just make a whole new one!". The April fools crafting event they did was better IMO, having random finished, half finished, or free completed parts from broken mechs was nice.

I really wanted to get the Ki-48-II... but I have work life and hade very few free hours each day. but in the end I got 2 Rockets... but both did not work so... I got nothing from this event :/

The D371 HS9 isnt available anymore, I got it a while back and damn a 1.3 br biplane that goes over 350km/h and has cannons? 10/10 That being said I agree this event is pretty bad

I bought it because i thought 20 mils on a 1.3 plane would be OP. I was sorely disappointed. I guess I should have expected that, it is french after all. Basically your 20 mils are very slow-firing, you have only 30 rounds per cannon, and the cannons don't even deal that much damage, they rarely one-shot. Maybe I'll make a video on it someday.

@@27jagers i agree with you the ROF is indeed disapointing, but once you get used to it you can easily one shot planes with the explosive shells. The trick in my experience is to fire 2-3 round bursts, you could get 2-3 kills per re-arm. It does a lot of damage at close range (300m ish) Alas it is a French plane as you said and therefore is disapointing 😂 id love to see a vid on it

I’ll take it out for a couple of matches, I got it back when I was new to the game and wasn’t very good. Maybe that’s why my stats with it suck.

@@27jagers its not an amazing plane, the issue is the belts. The HE 20mms are brutal but the other shells just overpen aircraft, its only saving grace is the low BR honestly. I just found it cool since its a plane thats not available anymore

The April Fool's crafting event was already bad, they somehow made it worse this time, why did they decide it was a good idea to add a chance of failure at crafting the missile?

@@songcreations6741 the failure is automatic for the 1st two. I would have been ok with 1st fail, 2nd success. They made it so convoluted so players feel like they need to use the market to complete it, or grind a huge amount.

The whole point of a War Thunder event is so you can unlock vehicles, but the crafting event takes a long time to grind in order to unlock the vehicle rewards. What I used to like about the crafting event was even if you weren’t able to complete the event, you could still sell some of your materials in exchange for golden eagles. They basically removed that feature in this event, which is what I dislike.
