@@kleebl00d84 0.3 s longer reload but better gun depression, power to weight ratio. have a turret, have access to apds and the most important 0.5 cal M2. Yes revers gear much worse but almost 20 km/h in revers is still good enough. Aa an better top speed. 2 km/h more but still.

I like how the BR changes completely missed the chinese tanks. The ZTZ59 is 8.3 with ERA,APFSDS and a laser rangefinder, meanwhile the T55A (which is itself basically the same tank since both are developpements of the T54) is 8.3 with no era and no lr.

I have been playing this german 6.7 lineup without realizing that its this good. Currently finished purchasing tanks in the BR and researching the 7.0 tanks. I do mostly get killed by CAS, revenged bombed, and especially the 5000 kg bombs from the Pe-8

Gaijin moving the IS-6 and T-54 from 7.3 to 7.7 really upset me, at first it was necessary for it to be 7.3 and not 7.0 so I was cool when they did that for the IS-6, however I think it was completely overkill to move the 7.3 T-54 *to* *8.0* and the 7.3 IS-6 to 7.7, keep in mind that it can now face things that have APFSDS + laser rangefinder now, there is litteraly nothing it can do against those tanks it's completely unjustified. But anyways Gaijin just likes to fuck up sometimes so I guess it's American 7.0 for me with T95, T26E5 and others which is a really fun lineup

I agree, this change probably wasn’t necessary, but as a German main I ended up benefiting from it since no German tank was badly affected (Leo 1 and Raketenjagdpanzer play exactly the same at 8.0 as they did at 7.3). Thanks Gaijin😁

@@LeroxYT Your comment really shows perfectly that the "German main" meme is absolutely still a thing, explain to me how am I supposed to pen a Tiger II H with a jumbo 75, a jumbo 76, a sherman 76, an M18 when it can literally one shot me from any range (yes even the jumbo)... Yeah guess what the tiger E is 6.0 and all the vehicles I mentioned are 5.7 or 6.3 in the case of the jumbo 76 and they have no chance of ever penning the 6.7 tiger II H at any range, but which in addition to existing in 3 variants (or 4 if you count the tiger II P) reloads much faster and has a much more reliable gun all the while being smaller and faster if you have the Sla 16 version, the 88mm shell also has a much higher velocity which makes long range firing easy, oh and that's without mentionning the jagdtiger at 6.7 too but yeah the American T34 is the problem. Mate the real problem is taking a 6.7 vehicle and saying that it is better than a 6.0 vehicle and complaining just because you cannot pen it frontally unlike every other tank you usually face with the tiger E, as for taking down the T34, T30 and T29 it's really not that complicated even with a tiger E, any sideshot will instantly destroy it because every German APHE makes a JDAM size explosion the moment it penetrates any tank, if you are at close range just take out it's gun there is a huge muzzle which makes it extremely easy to shoot out its gun or you can also bait him into shooting and then you have all the time in the world before it reloads, however if you get shot over long distance then that's too bad for you, its shells are very slow and thus the T34 will likely miss, you have to wait until it loses its focus on you and turns its turret (a shot to the side of the turret results in a one shot every often because ammo is stored there) or doesn't look at you allowing you to get a sideshow, I guess you now feel what it's like to be a sherman 76 when it meets an angled tiger, not everything has to be instantly killable from the front from 800m away especially not something that is at a full br higher than you

@@feluto7172 No, clearly not, it feels like an overweight medium tank, its armor is useless especially if it gets up tiered at 8.7 (where it meets apfsds + laser rangefinder), its survivability is shit (only 4 crew tightly packed) which often results in a one-shot, the only good things it has are its gun which gets aphe which basically one shots anything that isn't a British heavy (or overpens light tanks, but that's besides the point) but the gun is balanced by the long reload speed and poor depression and it also has good mobility, it is literally better to take any medium tank rather than the IS-6, I can do better with a T-44-100 at 7.7 rather than with the IS-6 and I can do much better with the 7.7 T-54 than with the IS-6, the only scenario where it rocks is when it gets down tiered at 6.7 otherwise I never see IS-6 "carrying the game" like you say, and after what I've shown you, even if it does carry the game that's only through the skill of the individual playing it and if said individual got into a T-54 he would do as good or likely better. But then again that br is simply going to get abandoned, no one is going to play USSR 7.7 because it is downright terrible (why do you think no one plays the IS-4M, a 7.7 heavy anyways), if you play the USSR at this br you have very few good tanks : namely you basically only have the T-54 and bmp-1 and this br as a whole sucks, if you get up tiered you're fucked because you face stabilized tanks with apfsds and rangefinder which are way better and more capable than your tanks, if you get down tiered on the other hand you are likely going to dominate, this all makes for a very frustrating experience and that's why everyone is going to go to the much better and more balanced USSR 8.7/8.3 which offers much better tanks and keeps the satisfaction of whenever you get a downtier (you have apfsds, laser rangefinder and stabilization and they don't) while at the same time still being very enjoyable when you get uptiered

and france 7.7 is now cracked

i've noticed now it seems like 1 or 2 good tiger II players can hold off an entire team from a point now if you don't have cas support, it's a bit scary since i'm trying to grind the us but as a german main, i love it

I’ve been playing USA 7.0 a lot lately and am always up against tiger 2s. I love it honestly, they all think they are invincible but super pershing, t29 and t34 just slap them through their mantlets no problem

Don't forget u could also throw in the German Bulldog in this line-up for something thqt can still help in up-tiers by scouting, and also the Narwhal if you want to harass the enemies from the sky and outrun almost any other aircraft in 6.7

Well, I argue USA has a better lineup at the same tier... 3 heavys, 1 heavy medium and 2 small tank destroyers you can ambush people with

I don’t have USA Rank 4 so I can’t judge them too much, from my experience fighting them using German and British tanks it seems the M26 and Jumbo are bad, the heavies are alright but they suck with stock ammunition, and M56 is good at camping but bad at attacking. The only American tank I truly fear is the Doom Turtle, that thing can sometimes bounce British APDS.

@@27jagers m26 and t25e5 are pretty good. They may look bad for their BR at a glance, since the firepower(pen) and top speed isnt great, but they have great secondary advantages that are easily overlooked. Great steering, good reverse speed, good turret traverse, decent side armor, .50cal, amazing post-pen damage of APHE, not very obvious weak spots and can angle the armor. They pretty much have no weaknesses that a lot of other tanks at that tier have.

I got a 7.0 line up for the us with the t29 and I rarely see 7.7 or 8.0 games I constantly am fighting tiger twos and even tiger ones crazy op lineup now and sence I also got the a2d it’s just free sl

Ive been running 7.0 Germany bc I have the panther 2, tiger 2 105, and pairing them with the jagdtiger, kugleblitz, ho 229 and the 262 narwhal. LOTS of downtiers, my teams may not do the best, but I've been having lots of fun and getting quite a few kills.

I miss my 10'5 and Panther II being in the lineup. 6.7 has always been my favorite BR, especially for Germany. It's just a interesting BR because that's when all the heavies come out to play and you still get little guys in the mix. I don't care what skill-less people say, the 10'5 and the Panther II don't deserve the 7.0 bracket. You are guaranteed uptiers against 8.0. Which is ridiculous. My spiciest take though, is that the Maus should be 7.0-7.3 It does not belong in Early Vietnam. 7.0 should be the bracket of awkward very heavy 40s tanks. 7.7 is ATGM territory which is insanity. This goes as well for the IS-3/IS-4M. They belong in 7.0, and at the highest, 7.3. These vehicles were in WW2. They belong there. Things balance out when you increase player coordination rewards. Tanks like the 10'5 Tiger are easy to take down. It's the same as a Tiger II except with a longer reload and a easy to hit barrel. The Maus requires team coordination on taking it down. All you need to do is have two people flank and/or take out it's barrel/tracks then doink it's sides. Either case, yes, 6.7 is a solid line up for Germany. But don't sleep on American heavies. Those things are horrifying.

The Tiger 105 and Panther II should be 6.7 imo, but I think the reason they went up is because the people who have them are very skilled since they have been playing for years and those vehicles probably have high k/d and winrate. Germany doesn’t really have a 7.3 lineup anymore, so even if the Maus was 7.3 I would play it at 7.7. Interesting take on the IS-3 and IS-4. I think 7.0 is too low because then they would be up against vehicles like the Tiger I, Panther, Sherman 76 and those would get completely outclassed. 7.3 could work though, I’m okay with fighting them in my British and German 6.7 lineups.

@27jagers Regarding all the heavies bit, I should mention this is with the old BRs in mind. The current placement of Tiger I's and all the upping of tier 3 tanks is abhorrent. Either case, I get your point, but I do think shifting vehicles based upon player competency is very silly. The AFT in China, for example, is a modern Armored Car that fires 1200mm penetrating ATGMs, and for a while now, it sat around 8.3 due to poor win rates. I think they bumped it up now, but alas, their grading system being based on performance has always been rather faulty. A vehicle is only as good as its operators. They do belong in their own places of adjacency, yes, but the tank shouldn't be punished for competent operators. That's like basically uptiering the Tiger I because I'm very familiar with the tank, and at 5.7, I'd average around 9-11 kills per-match with just the H model alone. But yeah, point is, the tier 3 decompression was unneeded, and the late war super heavies should've been sat at 7.0-7.3. There use to be a point in Warthunder's history where you did see IS-4s while being in your Tiger II's. Without crazy caveats of what would now be uptiers. Back in the day, the biggest competitors to the Maus use to be T-54's and later, ZSU-57s. Now it's ATGMs. Sad times..

Even 6.0 Panthers are really deadly in the right hands but I think it's unfair for people who like panther to jump from 6.0 to 7.0 and going against 8.0 tanks, even though I would hate to fight a 6.7 panther, I think that is unfair tier they gave them.

In my opinion 3.7 ussr is in a really good spot rn. You have the kv-2 and kv-1 against tanks that still have relatively weak guns. Then you also get a pretty good t-34 along with the asu-57. Overall I’d say it’s really good especially with the heavies. Edit: I fucked up the br’s because I was playing air arcade. So the lineup is messed up but it still is pretty good in that area for the Soviets.

It was very good until T-34 (1942) got moved up to 4.0 in RB. Now, it’s still good, but not overpowered. If I remember correctly my highest kill game ever was with T-34 (1942) back when it was 3.7

The Tiger II H is a lot worse for me to deal with as a 6.7 american player. Tiger II P i can at least go through the turret cheek. The H i cant even go through unless maybe im barrel stuffing at 0 meters. This is with 90mm m82. I guess i could load apcr.

Try the famous War Thunder trick of going behind cover for a few seconds until the Tiger forgets you exist and turns his turret away. No guarantees but you’d be surprised how many times this actually works.

I'm playing a lot of American 6,7 lately and I'm eating king tigers for breakfast. The T34 is a beast. All 6,7 american heavys do really well against Tiger IIs in my experience.

Practice the mg port shot for all tiger II based vehicles. M82 will go through the mg port of the tiger II p and h, as well as the Jagdtiger, and it even works on the panthers with mg ports. It is not super consistent, but is a shot i can pull off regularly that counters them frontally.

I only like the STA 3 and the type 75 SPH. The other STAs aren't that fun, they feel too sluggish.

i don't think it'll ever move up, theres a lot holding this lineup from moving to 7.0, and thats mostly because 8.0 mm being.. well 8.0. 6.7 feels right for where they belong, and at least there are decent SPAA that you can take from 5.3, and still find it useful. [there is also the wirbelwind but if you find yourself doing that, you know you're nuts.]

Currently been grinding Germany and It’s always CAS that kills me. Smart play might be just to run German AA and run over watch for the big bois

And then Sho't entered the stage. It faces these "heavily amoured" tanks, has 384 pen at 10m with 0°, stabilized, mobile. Only slight issue is the post pen damage, which is negated when aiming for ammo, and the uptiers in some cases.

It is indeed a very good tank, even after the battle rating changes. I don’t have it but I have the Centurion Mk. 3 which I think is an identical vehicle. Either way, it got moved up to 7.7 which is a huge buff to 6.7 vehicles that now see it much less often.

Mate, the entire British line at 7.7 is the same deal. The Sho't is just a Cent Mk 3 with a 50 cal. The Brits have the Conqueror which has tons of armor, two-plane, 487mm of pen from a 120 with great post-pen, and is okay with mobility. The reload is iffy, but if you get a downtier, counter-sniping Germans is like taking candy from a baby.

Nah fam i want my panther II and Tiger II 105 back to 6.7. 8.0 matches in those two are absolutely ZERO fun. It wouldnt be so bad if 90 percent of my matches in them now werent full uptiers

WIth my Tiger 2 10.5cm, I found out I can still dominate even in full uptiers, just require a bit more caucious placement and being aware of the possible missile swarms that can come your way. But yeah, in a full downtier, my 10.5cm got me a couple nukes already. You reload faster than an IS-2, and it's shell penetrate more and has more explosive, what else to ask for?

I will say that the German bulldog is extremely strong at this br too, as it is now one of the few consistent vehicles at the br with rounds that can cut straight through armor. The heat-fs is honestly amazing and has very consistent damage, and the fact that it exists as a quick light tank at the br where there isn't much comparable things to it is extremely good. It is significantly better than the American one due to the round and addition of smoke gernades, it excels in rounding out this extremely strong 6.7 German lineup.

the tiger 2 can be penetrated by the 40mm dual cannon US SPAA, if you shoot them in the turret ring the rounds can go through and you can kill the tiger 2 pretty easily. You obviously have to be close as the rounds like to veer off

america 6.7 also is even better now t34 and super pershing are fantastic

I really don't understand how people who play 6.7 Germany even get matches in the same or lower BR. I do get several kills a match but my Hitrate for a lower BR or the same when I want to play 6.7 is 1 out of 10 Matches. I am not entirely sure if it is because of the Me262 I take with me as 50mm CAS but I always get frustrated getting shot at with a bunch of guided missles from the UK, USSR or HEAT-FS from a lot of 7.3 and 7.7 Tanks

I totally agree. I tried just playing the Tiger 2P and Fw-190 F-8 and still faced constant uptiers.

Googled ”How to play Germany 6.7” and this was the first video that appeared. I’ve been playing both Germany and America 6.7 and I don’t see how Germany is any good at all. I consistently die in one shot to either a French or Sovet tank and every game is a full uptier. The only decent tanks are the Tiger 2H (which I basically just camp in since the armor is severely lacking) and the JPz. America, on the contrary, is fantastic at 6.7 and one of my favourite lineups. The American 90mm, both long and short, just feel much more powerful and are way more consistent compared to the Pak43.

My premium Tiger II (H) Sla.16 sees full uptiers 95% of the time

I grinded Germany when i switched from air to ground, got the tiger II, absolutely sucked in it, went bankrupt from repair cost and have stayed in low tier, its been over a year and maybe i have the braincell count to go back now

Definitely don’t sleep on the M41A1 it’s heat shell absolutely crushes on the flanks

well since Tiger I s now have better turret armor than the Tiger II s, it was logical..

the 6.0 M-51 with 400mm HEAT going Ammorack the Jagdtiger frontaly (Ye u can do this, at this little Map from Tigers hull i drew with digits shot where this little Points are "." ) ___________ / . . \ ------------------- | |----------| | i think more paralel to the Side walls cuz the ammo is at the sides, but if you hit there you can explode the ammo on the Jagdtiger, Jagdpanther, Ferdinand, and panther medium too, tiger 2 you can just shoot at the middle of the hull at the top and it kill almost the entire crew, maybe someone will survive, but the turret u can shot by the roof too cuz the ammo is at the turret not at the hull

6.7 usa is really good to still, my exact lineup is: m50, t26e5 or t26e1, t34, m109, m36b2 or m56,

USA 6.7 is, for my opinion, still one of the best 6.7 lineups. I use the T26E5, T26E1-1, T34, M109, M41A1, P47D28, and the AM1

Jumbo 76 rn is making money and M26 pershing too

ive found that 6.7 usa is just as potent, especially the t34 and super pershing, just as much fun as 6.7 germany.

I would argue that CAS is literally the bane of WT right now. It's always been a pain, but now it's really ridiculous. What I despise most is how terrible any and all German CAS are. We get the lowest manouverability, downgrade it even more with the weight of any bomb and or autocannon you use. Meanwhile, America and USSR get planes that are as fast and as mobile as a fighter plane, turn three times faster, carry bombs AND rockets at the same time (or just bombs with a total of double or even quadruple the weight any stuka can handle) and gunners are usually badly placed, too. :-) However: The new 6.7 lineup looks really broken, and I look forward to getting in. Researching King Tiger (P) right now, my first ever rank 4 vehicle!

I mean, the Kugelblitz got moved up to 7.0, it used to be 6.7 earlier this year, just saying.

Definitely the Tiger 2 Sla. Everything that a Jagdpanther can do, the Tiger 2 can simply do better. The Jagdpanther is technically a bit faster, has a slightly lower profile, and they both have the same gun, but the Tiger 2 has far superior armour and a rotating turret which is super helpful. If you’re looking to buy the Tiger 2 Sla, while it is a very good vehicle, I would not recommend it as it is identical to the tech tree version. I would recommend you buy a more unique premium vehicle like the Ru 251 or Sturmtiger and use it to grind the tech tree Tiger 2, that way you can still have your Tiger 2 while also having a cool premium.

Iam going to be honest here I love nothing more then to face this line up in the 2s3m, type 99 or m109 just a huge juicy target especially the king Tigers 😂 but that doesn't mean i don't love the line up I've been enjoying 6.7 br lately alot.

I just unlocked the king tiger and literally have not got more than a 2 kill game cus I have no clue what tanks I face it's the highest br I've got to so far after playing for 2 yrs 💀💀💀

I see a lot of range finding but tbh, I can tell how far an enemy is. I once hit and destroyed 2 tanks at 800 m

I only use the rangefinder with my Jagdtiger because the shell drop is hard to calculate and if I miss I have to wait for 30sec reload. With most German tanks, rangefinder is not necessary but it can sometimes help.

@@27jagers I use the rangefinder only on big distances and when I know the enemy tank will not move. When he is like distracted and I can take my time

Sadly I don’t have the lekpz or the 262 50mm. Ostwind II is very good, sometimes I bring it in place of the Jagdpanther since it allows me to have an extra spawn.

There’s no way the jumbo 76 is equal to the tiger 2
