Hi, I'm Courtney Daniella and welcome to the #Glowing&Growing journey. At the end of 2021, I quit running my own six-figure business to focus on my personal growth and work on a passion project. I've just moved in with my best friend and we're building 'To My Sisters,' a global digital sisterhood promoting the wellness, growth, and development of a community of sisters across the world.
Follow my story this year as it's sure to be full of adventure, life lessons, and transformation. Will I achieve my dream body as I embark on losing over 100lbs? Can To My Sisters become the biggest and most impactful sisterhood community in the world? Where will dedication to my education, health, and talent get me by December 2022? I guess we'll both find out as the #GlowingAndGrowing journey unfolds.

I don't think this whole thing is this complicated. I was a huge go getter, hard headed ambitious woman with astronomic standards for men. And when I was past the majority of my "actualizing oneself" journey and became the woman I always dreamed of becoming, became the superwoman I would feel so proud of if I knew I'd be her when I was a kid, God brought me the most gorgeous man I have ever met. with a mutual, unconditional and boundless love. I think that we shouldn't even talk about our standards if they are too high for most. Cause those that find them too high are always low vibration people, and not the men God created as our partner either. If you force something or if you have to make someone give it to you rather than it coming as natural to them, then it's not yours. and it's not from God.

I can relate to this so much, I find it hard to set and maintain standards for myself., basically staying accountable to ME. I think this is even more difficult for those of us who were denied basic agency and boundaries in our childhood + young adulthood through traditions and culture: it feels like your existence belongs to someone else, and you are fully accountable to them... until you become an adult. As adults, we have the sole responsibility for our existence and everything it comprises: our joy, health, relationships, career, etc...

I really think too many people (esp women) settle because we're often socialized into not being too greedy and simply accepting what you've got so you're not 'behind'. But I also think that many can be a bit impatient on their journeys and probably don't have a supporting community around them to provide that much needed level of support

This! I think so many people need to hear this, and not just women. In the culture I live in it’s so easy to find yourself settling in all aspects of life: relationship, career, lifestyle etc. it’s like society is constantly pressuring us to settle through fear mongering against an inexistent clock and making us believe that what’s available right now is as good as it gets. It leads people to give up on themselves and their dreams because it’s hard to wait for things that meet our standards and it takes a lot of work to be in a position to achieve our goals

  • @drakedrones

Marriage, kids, coupled-up: these are brainwashed social norms that put so much pressure on women. I don’t see the appeal of being in a compromised relationship, just to keep up appearances. Women and men should have high standards and not settling down should be normalized.

This is something that I have been struggling with. It started off as small little compromises and then went into just plain settling with my relationships and lifestyle. I’m working on it a lot more the past 2 years and I’m re-learning what I love and what I can’t stand for as well as what I really want for myself and not what society expects of me or pressure from family and friends. I must admit the patience is a challenge especially since I’m not the most patient person but I feel like God is allowing me to be in this season to correct my heart’s posture and work on a feel habits that need breaking. Stay strong Courtney I love you and you inspire so much remember that ❤️

I don’t usually comment on videos but honestly God bless you Courtney. I recently ended a 3 year relationship because I realised that being with him (as he is at this moment) meant I was settling in a lot of aspects. It felt like he was very complacent and being around his energy, I realised that not only was I losing my drive, I was also exhausted from trying to motivate and inspire his goals AND mine mostly by myself. I’ve felt so many emotions these past few weeks. I’ve been angry, I’ve cried, I’ve felt at peace, I’ve felt alone, etc. My mental health is just not at the best place right now and this video couldn’t have popped up at a better time. I honestly feel like you’re speaking to meee directly. Thank you so much for putting this out there, because it’s just really reinforced what I know and has stopped me from slipping back into something that might not be good for me. I know in my heart of heart that that relationship, in the way that it existed wouldn’t have taken me to the places I dream of. I dream big and I want more for my life, and while he was incredibly supportive, i just felt like he wasn’t aligned in having that same thirst for life. So he tended to not lead things and drive things that were for the both of us forward without me, because “Judith is the planner”. I was always hopeful that things will change and he’d change his attitude to life and become more ambitious and driven, but you’re completely right. If I have to lose the bigger picture to be with this man and keep trying to convince myself that I’m happy then it’s not for me. Hopefully someone who is aligned with me will come along one day. But for now, I will refocus on my goals and try my best everyday to move things forward on my own.

@@CourtneyDaniella I just mean level in the purest sense of the word since men and women don’t judge attractiveness by the same criteria. Your level are the people who are attracted to you and willing to commit to you. You will know you’ve gone beyond that level when the people you are consistently meeting are no longer interested in commitment.

Giiirrrrllll, I'm torn about a "response video" Part of me is thinking "Don't respond to idiots" Another part of me is thinking "I see how you responding would be helpful especially with how unapologetic, sober and articulate you can be. I see how someone may need to hear you respond to find encouragement and support in their own situation. " All in all, I say do what you feel genuine peace about ❤️

It's always better to seek God for the way to go....because as scripture says: There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12 NKJV There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 16:25 NKJV Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 NKJV I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you. Psalms 32:8‭-‬9 NKJV

Great video. Question: what do you do when you start feeling depressed after years of being felt crumbs and losers and can’t seem to find a good guy that meets your standards? I have entertained lowering my standards and be less “ critical” but then I won’t be happy. I feel I’m going to be alone forever. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you ☺️

Focus on building a strong community and meet people organically. If you surround yourself with people of all genders with the same goals in life, your chances of finding a likeminded partner increases.

LOL I haven't been in a relationship for like 9 years. I feel like men dont mature until their over 26 or 27 and often aren't ready for marriage until over 30s

I always think I have managed with the help of God to lto ive a very fruitful life, so why make the latter part of years miserable. Why put my peace, my bag, my health in jeopardy for one area of my life. That can never be me, I am in my early 30s and I have made peace that when the time is right God will make it happen and I don't waver on that. Some say maybe it's God's will for some people to be alone, I beg to differ, biblically he said it's not good for man to be alone. I have not seen any corrections to that.
