Thank you for posting this much needed unveiling. I have lived in Woodland Park for over 30 years and was introduced to AW back in the early 80's. Our family moved to Woodland Park in 1986. At that time, I just loved AW and his teaching. After the ministry moved to Woodland Park, I noticed a change and the extravagant spending. Slowly I realized something was terribly wrong. Thank you for this validation. I still need it once in a while especially after lossing alot of friends because I have apparently fallen from grace. Your testamony just help me know that I'm not "against God's annointed" but like Paul we need to expose darkness.

I met AWMI and Andrew 14 years ago, by that time I was willing to attend CBC, and praying for provision, one day the Lord spoke to me , He said to my heart, You are not going there, if you want to preach my Gospel, don't go there, I was shocked!! Immediately the Lord said, Wolves are coming against Andrew, they'll destroy the ministry. That morning I was wondering if what I heard was real. The Gospel Ttuth magazine was delivered in my home the day after, I opened it as usually , and found a disturbing announcement, Creflo was a guest speaker, it was crystal clear to me, yes Wolves were about to introduce all sort of false teachings, and Creflo was one of those, in 2017 was my last visit to CBC , and I noticed all sort of false christians working for AWMI being promoted to high positions, it was really disturbing, the Lord was rigth. Then I saw Duplantis, Jerry García, and many other false teachers and money lovers polluting the doctrine and Andrew's ministry. Do they have some great teachings? Yes they do! But mixed up with heresies, and also evil people already took important positions there. It was hard for me to realize a loved ministry turned into an ordinary and cheap WOF ( or wolf !) ministry. But the Lord was right. Now I can confirm for the 20th time , the Lord was rigth and it was great not to attend CBC but staying safely under God's care. God is good, and I think you're right Deborah. Doctrine has being slowly corrupted.

It sounds like Charis has a lot of management issues but they have nothing to do with the invaluable teachings of Andrew Wommack. Based on what you shared, a safer route will be to focus on Andrew’s teachings while taking extra precautions with activities conducted by other staff. Praying that God refine the school as it grows exponentially and needs more ‘quality control’ just like any fast growing organizations.

Norman Vincent Peale wrote the book the Power of Positive Thinking that WOF love to preach and teach on. He was a heretic, embraced Mormonism, and was a 33rd degree Mason. He mixed christianity with Psychology. Womack and the clan teach his doctrines and I challenge anyone who disagrees to look him up. WOF uses texts out of context to confirm their teachings all the time. Read the Word in context and you will not be deceived. @@networthassoc2006 I'm talking about WOF in general... they all speak out of context... Jesus did not teach on visualization, power of positive thinking, he didn't go around speaking confessions over and over so that it would become real on the inside of him, and neither did Paul. For starters, Kenneth Copeland uses Philippians 2:5 out of context to preach and believe that he is equal with God. This is one example of a false prophet, a wolf in sheep's clothing, and many other instances these WOF clan like to tickle the ears of the lustful. Read Philippians in context. The mind Paul is describing is the mind of a servant. Let this mind be in you which is in Christ Jesus.. the humble mind even though he knew he was equal with God he took the form of a servant. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, (tell me who is more conceited than Jessie Duplantis or Kenneth Copelands clan} Let each one esteem others better than himself. Look out for the interests of others not your own. Humble yourself to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Womack approves of all these WOF teachers including Todd White that says he hasn't sinned in 18 years. Come on now.... Todd has said some blasphemous stuff like Jesus became a pedofile on the cross, was beastiality on the cross and other perverted teaching.. He shouldn't be allowed to teach..OK.. hope you get it. . Why would they be pushing anyone to dredge up memories? In Christ you're a new creation. Charis preaches healing in Christ. Forcing someone to disclose their past when many people have experienced emotional healing in Christ from their pasts. This is a very odd practice imo.

there is a huge difference in not agreeing with everything taught and with experiencing spiritual abuse and manipulation at the hands of a high up leader and then nobody doing anything to stop it . This leader has also now been promoted to top positions , has her hands in every department and is continuing with her demonic antics . Very serious matter . According to Rev 2:20 these situations do not end well . Jamie is very closely involved so perhaps that is the hook she has on Andrew and co ?? There are probably 100´s who could make similar videos, Deborah has courage to speak out to protect others. A similar situation was happening at Charis on the Gold Coast . Those leaders were fired. The current leaders at Gold Coast KNOW all about this leader in CO but have decided to remain silent despite having an audience with Andrew. Why do people remain silent ? To save their own skin

I attend Charis presently and am enrolled in a hybrid program. My husband and I will graduate this month. In our two-year experience at Charis, we have never encountered any cult-like practices in any way. Granted, you seem to be speaking about the third year at the Charis campus in Woodland Park, CO. It seems that you have an issue with the head of the creative arts/music director in particular. It does seem strange that it was not investigated if you made a complaint. Maybe it was, not sure of course. I certainly would not lump the whole school into a problem with one director of a department. Making accusations that Charis is into mind control and possibly a cult is dangerous. There are always two sides to every story. My experience with Charis is that they are one of the best Bible colleges in the world. They are not perfect, but Andrew has led his life truly in obedience to the Word of God through many years of trials and has never left his faith in our Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ. I became a believer and born again since I was seven years old. I attended church regularly, and attended a Christian college. I am now 71 years old and have experienced much in Christianity, especially evangelical and charismatic settings. I regularly study the Word and scrutinize everything I read and listen to. I truly do not see any discrepancy in Charis’s stance on the Word of God. There may be some issues with the director you are speaking of; you seem to be focusing on this person and the fact that you did not get satisfaction from the staff at Charis regarding her behavior and direction. I will pray for this person as well as for Charis to be enlightened regarding her behavior, however, I find that Charis is very sound doctrinally and the staff as well. Like I said, there are two sides to every story. I have a hard time believing that the Lord directed you to put your story on KZread. I do not believe this will help anyone, but hinder the work of Christ Jesus, no matter your justification. You can do much damage even if you are right about the one director. It is something that should addressed, but I would not jeopardize the whole school because of their reaction or lack of.

Why do people feel the need to go to Bible College in the first place..? We all have access to God's Word for ourselves, and He didn't make it complicated so that even the most simple minded of people can understand it. Ok, it may take reading over and over to grasp the meaning of certain verses which we initially aren't able to comprehend, but the holy spirit helps us to understand.

I see your point and kind of agree with you, unless someone is wanting to pursue a ministry or perhaps begin a church. However, I don’t believe Charis is teaching a full scope of the Bible as far as that is concerned but that is my opinion only (God forgive me if I am speaking in error). I think one of the big draws to Andrew’s ministry has been healing. One of the things I’ve heard him say many times is students go to Charis and sit under the word everyday for a couple of years and receive physical healing, for those who may be faced with a health challenge. But from one of Deborah’s messages on here is that this doesn’t seem to be quite the case anymore, for whatever reason many are not seeing healing. I think a lot has changed there and she is pointing out issues.

    23 күн бұрын

@@justbrowsing8675Thanks for your comment, and I agree that it's very good that all these issues which obviously exist at Charis are being exposed. As for one of Andrew Womack's reasons for suggesting people attend his Bible college, ie: 'to sit under God's Word for a few years in order to get healed' I would challenge him on that by quoting the scriptures regarding healing. For example, Matthew Chapter 9 v 29 says: Then He (Jesus) touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith [your trust and confidence in My power and My ability to heal] it will be done to you.” And in Luke chapter 8 v 48 Jesus said to the woman who had the issue of blood for 12 years who touched the hem of his garment: 'Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.' Matthew Chapter 17 v 21 says: 'Some things only go out by prayer and fasting.' So we see that God's Word tells us that healing comes by faith in most cases, whereas in other cases it needs prayer and fasting. Nowhere does it say: Spend thousands of dollars to go to Bible college in order to get healed...' I would suggest that a better use for all that money would be to spend it on more worthy causes such as feeding the poor. Just my opinion, based on God's Word. God bless.

It IS lovebombing. We need to be more worried about what God says about us instead of valuing some teacher who is encouraging feelings over what the word of God. Our feelings will mislead us. Even Andrew talks about how he didn’t allow another minister’s opinion to affect him. God’s word tells us to be careful to not allow anyone to deceive you. It’s our responsibility to seek out the truth and question when it doesn’t line up with God’s word. God wants us to confront questionable practices that harm others, including the body of Christ. ”“Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭15‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ bible.com/bible/114/mat.18.15-20.NKJV

I was a Method trained actress in NY in my younger life and what you described are typical acting class exercises and techniques, including reinforçing a sense of confidentiality and safety while making oneself vulnerable emotionally. Perhaps this was worldly, or different than what you had expected, but I'm not sure it warrants publicly trying to slander the ministry. Andrew is no stranger to being accused of cultism and probably wouldn't give such accusations much weight. Unfortunate if there were ungodly or un-Christ like attitudes or behavior, but in my many years of experiences in various Churches and witnessing plenty of surprising and ungodly behavior or conversations of leadership, I would never consider publicly airing any of it. Prayer and trusting the Lord to deal with cleansing His house has always proven to me to be effective and keeping within the love of God, love of the brethren, and unity of the Body.

So whistleblowers should not air their very real experiences to the world in an attempt to bring about awareness and change? Also, it is possible that this IS how God is dealing with it -- asking Deborah to raise awareness and put a voice of opposition against abuse out there. Prayer and trust alone didn't drive the money changers out of the Temple -- action based on the foundation of said prayer and trust did.

You see there will be many tests, we will be treated wrongly.. Yes by other believers and some are leaders. It’s called dying to self. I ended up being blessed, by God favored and ordained. And I got flack about that from a jealous student. Who got straightened by another leader.. It’s crazy I know. If I may say this.. to the reader.. If we will leave all judgement, maltreatment etc..to our Lord Jesus he will vindicate in his time, and your flesh will be crucified and the resurrected life of the Lord will grow in you and shine out of you. Listen please today it’s you.. tomorrow it will be someone else our battle is not with flesh n blood but against powers and principalities. The devil will use ANYONE to throw You off track. Keep on your armor.. use your weapons, keep marching forward because guess what Beloved UNTIL we are dead to that particular test we will get to repeat it until we pass it. I know all the staff back then and I can say.. carnality doesn’t fall off you when you get promoted.. if not dealt with it gets worse. Keep your eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. You won’t be sorry if you heed these words. These words are to encourage. If Jesus being our example got his knickers in a knot.. it would have been a constant.. But he passed up that “opportunity” went to the Cross died as US for US and WON THE VICTORY FOR YOU & ME! THE BRIDE HAS MADE HERSELF READY!! Get ready Jesus is COMING! Our King Bridegroom‼️ GLORY TO GOD‼️

How very sad to hear you say this, Deborah, on You Tube. I am a 15 year employee of AWMI in only a clerical position (by my choice). But I have been accepted, loved, supported, and healed by this ministry! I also experienced (at a different ministry) correction because I did not respect it's leaders. It was painful, and took me literally years to get over, but the Lord helped me to understand that respecting leadership is tough sometimes and obedience is better than sacrifice. Nevertheless, I have never been forced to do anything at that ministry. I have been treated better there than anywhere else in 25 years of business experience. I love Andrew Wommack Ministries, and do not agree with your assessment of the situation. You are holding up a book that you have underlined about cults. A man-made book. Now, if you had held up the BIBLE with IT underlined....I might have had some respect. I take this quite personally because the movie that "the director" made which stars your very own son, has been the venue that has healed my distorted views of Jesus more than anything else made or said by man. When you described the class exercise of identifying the negative emotions in their hearts, I couldn't help but think that this is how the screenwriting that the director did must have touched my heart so well. I believe she was looking for people who would dig deep and be honest about human emotions starting with their own, and write it, thus teaching her class. It worked for me thanks to her identification of feelings and your very own son's talent at portraying them. I literally want to cry as I see how you are shattering the effects of this wonderful portrayal of Jesus that Tim did. Mostly, what about the MILLIONS of people that this ministry has helped have a better relationship with God? How many people will read these things that you disagree with, not give AWMI a chance, and lose the opportunity, God forbid, maybe their only chance at having a real relationship with God? Even one person is too many. Think I am exaggerating? As of this writing, there are 6.8K views on this post alone that you have made and only 112 likes. In 12 years in Colorado, my husband and I owned a large house and boarded Charis Bible College students. Over 200 of them. Some of them left school early for various reasons, but NONE left and publicly defamed the ministry. Not one. None who left early blamed the ministry for their exit. I sincerely hope you will take this series down immediately, for the sake of people who do not understand deeper spiritual things. I pray for your healing.

Respect should be a two way street between employer and employee, whether it’s corporate America or a Christian ministry, even more so though in a ministry I would argue. I am so tired of hearing about “leadership” over the past decade or so from these ministries as if leadership is something people are supposed to bow down to or blindly give allegiance. I have heard way too many so called teachings on that and it is simply ridiculous. Yes, respect “leaders” because they are your employer and it is also biblical to show respect and put others before ourselves, but true leaders lead by example, not because you are supposed to respect them. I would also argue, from my experience, that there are many who are in a leadership position that simply should not be in those positions. Further, since you acknowledge that the ministry has helped millions, which I agree, then why would you lose any sleep over a few videos with (at the time I am viewing) has a little over 8k views. That is minuscule in comparison to the overall reach of the ministry. As far as the 112 likes, a viewer has to be logged in to Google to like and comment and many are viewing without being logged in or simply just not liking or disliking. To me, that is irrelevant.

Nobody and NO college or church is perfect. It's not for everyone. It wasn't a good fit for you. You need to ask God to heal your heart, pray for the instructor and forgive and move on. We're in a spiritual war. Offences will come. It's how you handle them. Just go and live your life, let God deal with Charis, Andrew, this instructor, or whatever is needed at Charis. They aren't perfect and neither are you! It's not helping to post here! You are already turning potential students away from Charis. Is this the fruit you want when you meet Jesus? He's aware of what is going on! God can deal with ANY wrongdoing. And accusing Charis of being a cult is very serious. I was in a cult. This is NOT a cult, sorry. I saw much worse grievances but in time it all got sorted out in the end. You don't need to force the issue. “And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: but if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.” Acts‬ ‭5‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Better to err on the side of forgiveness and grace toward those who are have wronged you. Life is full of things that we don't like. It's our reaction to those things that we have a choice in and must be led by God's Word and His Spirit, not the spirit of offence. But when we are so hurt, it's often difficult to deal with the situation (as you go deeper into delving into cult books trying to make some sense of it?) it can only lead to greater bitterness in your heart and do more damage by defiling others! These are very serious accusations and painting the WHOLE ministry with a very broad brush due to your problems with this instructor and your experience, you are digging very deeply into a deeper pit for yourself. I'm sorry you are so hurt and I pray the Lord will heal your heart but the first step in that direction is to FORGIVE! Corrie Ten Boom forgave the guard who contributed to her sister's death! Jesus would want you to FORGIVE. For your sake. "Follow PEACE with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: looking diligently lest any man fail of the GRACE of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up TROUBLE YOU, and thereby MANY be defiled;” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬ bible.com/bible/1/heb.12.14-15.KJV

I am very grateful for Deborah's recordings. She published them two years after the events. IMO, she formally did a lot to clarify the matter. In her opinion, nothing has changed. You are right, thanks to her testimony, several people will not go to Charis, including my family. There is something to pray for.

You have completely missed the point. This has nothing to do with offense or forgiveness. Others are corroborating the issues Deborah is addressing. Your argument that they “are just human” is utterly ridiculous and your use of scripture is ridiculous. How about the scripture that tells us that one of the two command, ents is to love thy neighbor as ourselves (1 John) and maybe to value other above ourselves, in humility (Philippians). I could go on.

I understand the published materials as biblical concern for the weaker and a warning against a specific teacher who behaved like a wolf (open lying, embezzling money, persuading people to lie, manipulating, and using group work therapeutic techniques without a prior contract and without education in this field). I don't like the poor response from those responsible for students at Charis.

I am deeply troubled by your putting out all these videos. As someone here had reminded you that Andrew’s ministry was there for you and your family at a very difficult time in your life. Your choosing to do these videos is not befitting the heart of someone whose family’s lives were changed from your sons being healed. Your ability to engage and draw so many people to your channel is if I’m correct, a large part due to the platform given to you by Andrew and his ministries. You would not have this platform if it were not be for people watching your sons’ healing journey on Andrew’s ministries as well as your being on Julieann Hartman’s Healing Journeys Today. Yet you’ve used this platform to condemn and deter people away from the very ministry which has blessed you. I have watched all your videos and though I appreciate that there may be things that need to change at Charis including a framework for the leaders to have accountability and a set up for students to voice concerns, putting out these videos is not a solution. It only adds fuel to the fire, creates strife and is not edifying to the body of Christ. I see someone who wants to have her concerns validated and who chose to do this shaming and blaming in public to get that validation. Congratulations. I hope you feel better as you certainly have support from others here and in turn, you’ve alienated others like myself, whose spirit is grieved by the division in the body of Christ you have caused. Before any of the naysayers here say that by my comments that I do not care about students allegedly being abused, and what Deborah is doing is justified, I do not condone abuse/narcissistic behaviour or manipulation even in Christian colleges. However, there has to be another another way to bring light to the situation. These videos are not it. I find it very hard to believe that God told you to do this. I do not think Andrew will defend himself as he’s previously mentioned that he would not pander to his critics. I don’t know him personally and I do not think he or Charis or the instructors are perfect. They’re imperfect people with hearts wanting to serve our perfect God. The least we can do is to show grace and mercy and try to do better ourselves, pray, learn, go deeper in our relationship with God. The Holy Spirit will guide and provide a way.

"I am deeply troubled by your putting out all these videos. As someone here had reminded you that Andrew’s ministry was there for you and your family at a very difficult time in your life. Your choosing to do these videos is not befitting the heart of someone whose family’s lives were changed from your sons being healed." --- This isn't an argument to ignore serious issues and concerns that arise within an organisation, even if that organisation has previously blessed you in the past. Ravi Zacharias blessed people, so should they ignore his abhorrent behaviour? "Yet you’ve used this platform to condemn and deter people away from the very ministry which has blessed you." --- Again, not a valid argument. Yes, Deborah is using her platform to condemn their behaviour, why shouldn't she? And yes, deterring people away from the ministry, because of what she has outlined in these videos. But to argue that because someone was blessed by something and therefore should not condemn it when it rightly deserves to be is a terrible idea -- it ultimately ends up turning into "I blessed you, so you are indebted to me, and now therefore can never say anything against me, no matter how true it may be, because I blessed you, compris?" "I have watched all your videos and though I appreciate that there may be things that need to change at Charis including a framework for the leaders to have accountability and a set up for students to voice concerns, putting out these videos is not a solution." --- These video's aren't the solution? What is, then? "It only adds fuel to the fire, creates strife and is not edifying to the body of Christ." --- Oh please, this is absurd -- if Charis is doing half the things outlined in these videos then THEY are the ones creating strife and not edifying the Body of Christ. This is a poor attempt to guilt-trip and victim-shame by equating "raising awareness of abuse" to "creating strife", "adding fuel to the fire", and "not edifying to the Body of Christ". "I see someone who wants to have her concerns validated and who chose to do this shaming and blaming in public to get that validation." --- Victim-shaming 101, right here. "Congratulations. I hope you feel better as you certainly have support from others here and in turn, you’ve alienated others like myself, whose spirit is grieved by the division in the body of Christ you have caused." --- Support from others that have also experienced the things Deborah has described. Alienation is preferable to siding with the Devil, isn't it? You accuse Deborah of causing Division in the Body of Christ, and yet all she is doing is raising awareness of abuse. Is whistleblowing the truth now called "Division"? Sounds controlling and manipulative to me. "Before any of the naysayers here say that by my comments that I do not care about students allegedly being abused, and what Deborah is doing is justified, I do not condone abuse/narcissistic behaviour or manipulation even in Christian colleges." --- Hi, naysayer here, and I call bull. If you actually cared about victims of abuse you wouldn't be writing this passive-aggressive shame-letter. "However, there has to be another another way to bring light to the situation. These videos are not it. I find it very hard to believe that God told you to do this." --- Who are you that decides what the best way is? "I do not think Andrew will defend himself as he’s previously mentioned that he would not pander to his critics." --- Passive-aggressive way to demean Deborah to a "critic". Obviously Andrew won't reply, he hates being criticised in any way. But that doesn't mean that his "critics" are always wrong. "I don’t know him personally and I do not think he or Charis or the instructors are perfect." --- Just because people are not perfect does not mean we should excuse their actions. "They’re imperfect people with hearts wanting to serve our perfect God." --- Again, imperfection does not mean abdication of responsibility and accountability. "The least we can do is to show grace and mercy and try to do better ourselves, pray, learn, go deeper in our relationship with God. The Holy Spirit will guide and provide a way." --- There's a time for grace and mercy and a time of righteous indignation at injustice. This is a flowery, Christianese statement that sounds deep and profound but is in fact surface level at best. It's a passive and ineffective method to combat abuse, and instead only enables it through silence. Praying and showing grace and mercy didn't drive the money changers out of the temple; a whip did.
