My husband passed with Covid in early 2021. We were married 43 years and we both had Covid during our 43td anniversary. He passed away later that same month. My heart was broken into a million pieces! I’m still not over it and it’s been over 3 years. I’m so very lonely although I know the Lord is with me but I still feel so much loneliness. I still cry everyday because I miss my husband. He’s in heaven waiting for me I know. We served in ministry all our married life. Life is so different now. My dad passed away 9 months after my husband and my twin sister passed away last year but losing my husband has been the most difficult and painful thing I’ve ever gone thru. I’ve had 2 open heart surgeries and pacemaker put in but through all the surgeries and illness, nothing compares to my broken heart. I know Jesus is coming back very soon and I hold on to that hope when I will finally be whole again.

The pain is real and loosing a loved one is devastating however you decided to stay in your pain or Jesus to heal you completely. The Bible says we should not be like people who do not have knowledge about the people who passed on. Staying unmarried is not a sign that you loved them dearly but it’s a choice that everyone should respect. The Bible specifies when should people be listed in the widow list . If you are still young Marry than commit sin .

This is not biblically accurate that “when something is of the Lord no one is left wounded on the sidelines.” I know of many accounts where this happened in scripture. Sometimes it looks wrong from our perspective and sometimes it seems the enemy is winning like when Joseph was put in a hole in the ground and all that happened to him but sometimes for God’s will to happen people have to go through things. Why did the Israelites have to be in slavery in Egypt? God foretold Abraham this wayyy before it happened. It’s best not to judge and let God do His job. Just keep loving God and loving people and always try and think the best of people. ❤

@@roxymay3938 Just because things happened the way they did in the Bible doesn’t mean certain people weren’t guilty for MAKING them happen. Pharoah was STILL guilty. Joseph’s brothers were STILL guilty. Potiphars wife was STILL guilty….God took what they did and turned it around for good, but Gods purpose could have still come forth in OTHER, less hurtful ways. So it still doesn’t mean the acts of disobedience went unnoticed by God. God doesn’t just wink at sin, no matter what good might come out of it later on. Nothing should have come between Joni Lamb and her son. That role was promised to Johnathon all his life and Marcus, who expressed his desire for DayStar to be led by Johnathon, would be very hurt by this. Just because God can bring something good from it anyway doesn’t mean what Joni and Doug did was okay. Doug’s family was also hurt by this, he and his wife of 20+ years had children, too. But the ones hurt the most it seems are Johnathon and Suzy. If Joni wanted to marry Doug, which was wrong because he divorced his wife to do it, she still didn’t have to just hand the company over to him to run it. It should have been Johnathon’s and she betrayed her own son, and Marcuses wishes, to do it.

When I looked at him lying there I saw a big tear running down his left cheek. I got a paper towel and wiped that tear away. While all this was happening I physically was not comprehending he was dying. He was received just a short time later. My first grandson (I have four daughters) died when he was 5 from an aggressive strain of meningitis in 20013. I saw him healthy and hearty Saturday afternoon and he was found dead in his bed the following morning(mothers day). Two years ago my daughter (his mum) had a near death experience during emergency surgery. She found herself at the edge of a meadow and saw her son on the other side. He was older, taller and stockier and his blonde hair had turned brown. He was grinning at her from ear to ear. She went to walk towards him but he shook his head to signal 'no' and held his palm up. It wasn't her time to cross over. God bless you Tiernan. We all miss you but know we'll meet up again in Heaven 🙏

Divorce Lisa, lie and come up with some strong reason why he divorced her, then Joni gets a blessing from Jimmy Evans (Jimmy ignored what the Bible says about divorce/adultery) Then they marry, saying they're 'fighting for each other.' It's about Lust, money, etc. Since that wedding, they can't crank out enough videos about their wedding, their love story, they they they. Then Rachel and Josh have to put out a video about their wedding again and their love story, to compete with their mom and doug, then comes a video about Rebecca and Johnathan's wedding and love story. ❤ Joni, you as a new widow, you were free to remarry in God’s timing…to someone that Almighty God had handpicked specifically just for you……. But the timing of you becoming re-involved with another man was far too short….you honestly needed to give yourself more time to walk through this journey of the deepest loss of your life! Your three children, Jonathan, Rachel and Rebecca desperately needed time to walk through the deep loss of their dad! It wasn’t long enough for them…not at all! And something that is extremely difficult for the countless people that have known you and Marcus, and your three children, and their families is that there wasn’t enough time to process the loss of Marcus and the ministry that you each had! And for you to have gotten involved far too soon with someone else, has been SO hard! Most of us do not understand the fact that you married Doug Weiss…since he used to share such strong statements of how great his marriage was to Lisa, and that it was not very long before he divorced her! Why is that??? The four of you were great friends with each other, hung out together! You knew each other really well! Jimmie Evans never gave the same time of day to an interview with Lisa, for her to share her deepest heart, as he did with Doug! Why not? And deeply sad is that Doug needed Time to walk through the deeply tragic divorce that he went through with his wife and children…a few years for sure! That didn’t happen, did it! No time wasted in connecting with Joni! Something doesn’t sit well with all of this! And we are really missing seeing your son Jonathan and Suzy, Israel and Ariel on your programs…with you Joni! It must be deeply hurtful and deeply difficult for Jonathan see his mom be in a relationship with someone other than his dad…someone who is obviously fully taken in with his mom…kissing her, being very affectionate publically, and emotionally not at all ready to see this! Can you not see this and understand their deepest heart in all of this? Your daughters must deeply feel this too… Your personal family are still grieving for Marcus…that takes TIME…..countless of us are deeply saddened and honestly don’t get it! Lots of pain and wounding along the way………..not just to each of your families….but for countless of us as well! 😢 😢😢😢😢😢😢

I’m even more impressed that you have determined that it’s a one size fits all and that everyone has to fit into your little box of what is and is not appropriate… like as if you know each and every single person on earth and what’s right or not for them in their personal life and circumstances!! Who made YOU the ‘Appropriate time police’ !?! And how Christlike is it that you would blast a sister in Christ by making statements about her life (publicly, I might add ) when you have never walked personally in her shoes!?!?!?! There are just so many gossipy women these days, that believe that it’s their personal job in life to judge others…and even more appalling that they would call themselves Christian believers, or followers of Christ while doing so SMH 🤦🏼‍♀️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

You know people by the fruit they produce and I have seen this family give out good fruits by been a blessing to so many life’s with the mandate and work God has put in their hands. Why don’t we all focus on that beautiful thing God is doing in their lives instead. Even Christ never criticizes or imposes his own will on anyone ,who are we then following as an example when all we do is question God leading in people’s Life’s by telling them how they should live their own life’s.

I talked to a marriage counselor before and she even mentioned that after a year most that are divorced begin dating again...although Joni's situation is a little different, it's actually quite common. Most of the time, what we think things should look like isn't what God is actually doing. That's what I have learned...He can expedite the grief process. I also believe someone like Joni who has this type of ministry, honestly shouldn't be without a spouse. Similar to a male pastor not being single. You could also think of it this way, Marcus probably wouldn't want Joni to be single for the rest of her life or not live an abundant life just because he is gone. Life has to be lived regardless if one loses their spouse. Also, if you watch one of the recent videos, God brought Doug into her life after a year and they had counsel around them during the courting phase.🙂

Also both Marcus and Joni knew Doug , he was on there show and also counseled them , so Doug knew what he was doing , if he were a Christian counselor and Christian man , he would had giving her ample time to grieve, heal , and get on her feet ,and far nothing take advantage of her weak self , if true , my mother was 39 yrs old when my father passed at 40 , left with four young children , house , cars , stay at home mother , and a Christian , I remember my grandmother came helped with us kids , for almost 2 years , but our mother put children first died 96 yrs old , never remarried, Doug left his wife to marry Joni , if they were so spilt in there marriage why didn’t he leave years ago there marriage, Doug and his wife were marriage counselors , come on can’t save ur own marriage , your in wrong business close the doors , fishy story there telling , truth will be revealed.

@michaelcunis8329 You're right. It is not in the Bible. Mark ‬ ‭10:2‭-‬12‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [2] And the Pharisees came to him (JESUS), and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. [3] And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? [4] And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. [5] And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. [6] But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. [7] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; [8] and they twain shall be ONE FLESH: so then they are no more twain, but ONE FLESH. [9] What therefore God hath joined together, let NOT man put asunder. [10] And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. [11] And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. [12] And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. ‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:1‭-‬3‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [1] Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he LIVETH? [2] For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he LIVETH; but if the husband be DEAD, she is loosed from the law of her husband. [3] So then if, while her husband LIVETH, she be married to another man, she shall be called an ADULTERESS: but if her husband be DEAD, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1‭-‬2‬, 10-11 & 39 ‭KJV‬‬ [1] Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. [2] Nevertheless, to AVOID FORNICATION, let every man have his OWN wife, and let every woman have her OWN husband. [10] And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: [11] but and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let NOT the husband put away his wife. [39] The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband LIVETH; but if her husband be DEAD, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. Luke‬ ‭16:14‭-‬18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [14] And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. [15] And he said unto them, Ye are they which JUSTIFY YOURSELVES before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is ABOMINATION in the sight of God. [16] The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. [17] And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. [18] Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth ADULTERY: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth ADULTERY. ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬ [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be ONE FLESH. ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ [4] Let marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things. And thus let the marriage bed be undefiled (kept undishonored); for God will judge and punish the unchaste [all guilty of sexual vice] and ADULTEROUS.

The only reason for saying anything about this matter is for other believers to see how wrong each one of.us.can be.when it comes to asking God for something. The enemy can deceive the most knowledgeable person. I heartly believe this. From my experience. Joni is a precious sister in Christ. Bottom line , she was free to marry afain. But Doug was not. God is the God ofnthe impossible. He could of brought reconciliation to his marriage with Lisa. 39 years and he gives am" condolence call to Joni". And adds by.the way I am divorce?". The whole matter isnt something God would.bring about. God isnt one to break up marriage. Why not allow Lisa to tell her side of what happen. Why isn't Johnthan and Susie around nor talked about and the grand kids. There need not to be a detail explanation. But the truth and Honesty is healing for all. I pray for God's way to make a way. Bah, who cares, we will just ask for forgiveness, right? That ANYONE would delight in this sham is clearly willful blindness. She turned comments off on her wedding video. Why? Because she knows how hurt Lisa (Doug's WIFE), her family and the rest of us see. Discernment is a gift. Joni is willfully dismissing that. I'm surprised she left comments on here. My greatest storm was losing my oldest child in August of 2020 unexpectedly. She had just turned 33 the month before. She left behind two daughters. I was completely numb for 2 1/2 years. Its still a deep struggle but I know the Lord has been carrying me through it all and still. I believe she's waiting for me in heaven and I look ever so forward to the reunion. I’ve always enjoyed watching Daystar until this individual Doug, unfortunately came along, he is not called for TV ministry in any kind of shape or form, the few times I’ve seen the shows he’s been on set, his appearances are very staged, doesn’t flow in a natural way, like Joni, her son Jonathan, or anyone else does! What he says seems fake, forced and I very uncomfortable watching the program. I honestly feel he needs to be off the set and the program he’s not made for it. He has a petulant attitude, very arrogant even if he tries to smile it’s just unpleasant watching and listening. It’s very plasticki! 😮
