People are asked ALL the time why they joined their specific organization and EVERYONE else acts like it’s such a big secret. We understand we need to do “our research” but it’s great to hear actual experiences. It’s great to hear research plus personal opinion sometimes! Thank you for this 💕

Second semester of freshman year. But it depends on the chapter. Some chapters don’t take freshmen.

Omg, I’m a freshman in college but when I was younger I’ve always watched sororities and I’ve always been interested in Alpha Kappa Alpha. You’re really pretty btw!

Great information I just moved to Houston with my son to really focus on school get my life together etc and I’ve been seeing Aka Lot and learning what it’s about i really want to join the whole getting involved with the community and being around powerful educated women will really be good for my new journey but so nervous being that I don’t know much !

There’s isn’t a list of talents that you necessarily need. For me, I was active in the community & on campus. I also had high grades which helped me stand out from other students.

Why AKA over the other NPHC sororities?

AKA aligned with my interests, morals and values. There was no other sorority that did that.

ms five must go to redan trotti library today and they get bikes from conyers stores the catholic church is moving ms five to walton county or conyers or rockdale or newton county

Don’t be scared. I’m not legacy either. Being legacy doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be selected.

@@reevideo Exactly! I am a Christian and I was going to go into a Sorority when I was a freshman, but I changed my mind. Thank God I did. God is killing Christians who are in sororities and fraternities because it is idoloatry. I am not sure what the paragraph above was supposed to mean from the other person. I did not get it.
