    Honestly the most informative thing I've seen about NPHC sororities. Thank you so much for sharing you have no idea how much this has helped me. I also have a question. I am currently in community college but want to start going to events now. Is it to soon? should I just wait until I transfer to start going to events?

    My daughter is going to school this fall so we are watching different sororities. My cousin was a Zeta and i’m sorry it was terrible for her . I really don’t understand why our black sororities always make it hard and full of struggle... all that money and she was miserable the whole time it wasn’t a sister hood a whole lot of messy females

    I’ve talked about this in a different video. When you are choosing a sorority you are also choosing the chapter. If you do your research and you feel like you 100% want to be a member, but you feel the chapter is not a good fit then you don’t have to join. You don’t have to choose a different sorority either. If you truly want it then you can choose to pursue membership through a different chapter. That bad experience a person has with a particular chapter is not a reflection on the entire organization. I completely understand the frustration though.

    Do NPHC sororities have something like "Big Reveal Week" like NPC sororities?

    xoxoTL It's when older members, or "bigs", give youngest members, "littles", gifts over a three day period. Then bigs reveal themselves on the third day. If you don't do that then what do you do to celebrate new members, and connect new and older members?

  • @justalaysia

    @justalaysia

    7 жыл бұрын

    +Naomi Gibbs got you. We don't have "bigs" we have prophytes. And you're prophytes are everyone in the chapter that come before you. Most people do receive gifts from their prophytes, but it won't be anonymously and probably from more than one person. And you'll get to know those people by meeting them at their events and because they will be the ones teaching you about your Sorority once you are accepted.

    Most undergraduate chapters have public neophyte presentation shows. Often the new members will do a performance/presentation of their organization's and chapter's history, traditions, symbols, etc., and will also present themselves and their new names and numbers to the college community. There are other things orgs do internally to connect specs (which is sort of the NPHC version of bigs/littles).

    I do not understand what you are recommending or advocating. There are many different sororities with a wide variety of characteristics and membership expectations. More sororities belong to PanHel than to the NPHC. It appears that you may be suggesting NPHC sororities over a PanHel sorority. If so, why?

    LOL You sound stupid. You literally cannot sell your soul. If you read the Bible you weirdos wanna misquote so much you’d know that no one is sinless except Christ. So clearly no one is born starting in the track to heaven to even sell their soul to lose their spot in the first place. Keep that same energy for white sororities and keep your cult to yourself.
