I stopped watching the NBA it turned into a Three-Point Contest

nope, I stopped several years ago., watch occasional game, but make me wanna throw up, looks like SHIT today... ALso, all the flexing and posing, all the diva drama queen BS... on top of every travel, every charge and shove off goes uncalled, its UGLY and looks like a bunch of 5 year olds who dont know the rules.

One of the few good things about being old is I got to see almost every great player from 1972 until I quit watching the NBA in 2016, the reason being the disappearance of the low post game, which had always been my favorite part 20of the game. The viewers are low, but the NBA is appealing more to people that just post online about the games or only watch highlights. This is why NBA sports analysts are reliant on drama. Less people are watching the actual games, but they want to argue online

Actual NBA viewers are dropping, but there are alot of people that "post online" about the games instead of watching them. Because alot less people watch actual basketball games, this makes room for "analysts" like Nick Wright, Perkins that rely on NBA social media dramq

Too many fans rather watch a 5 minute highlight clip than a full 2 hour game. Thats why viewers are much lower

@amandadraws8682 Facts. Also by not watching the actual games, it hurts recognizing other players that work hard on the court that don't score because most game highlights feature only scoring plays.

The league is starting to look like last year's All Star Game...

There are lots of basketball players now that can shoot from everywhere...why not?

look at children's health i rermember gym in school was taking more serious and most children are out of shape so evolution not better although some things have evolved such as the beats in rap music but no so much the rap im oldschool and admit theres some nice rappers and basket ball players i dont thinks so much the players as the game these are all still great athletes its just how its controlled

The only reason 90% of the league can't stop Lebron when he rams through the post with that weak looking lay-up off glass is because his elbows/shoulders to the chest pushoffs never get called. His opponents have been trained by the refs to get out the way or else it becomes an automatic "and 1." Other players take advantage of this too, so its not just Lebron. Also the traveling whistle that seems to get swallowed a lot for star ball handlers. Even ball handling is inflated in this era. Kyrie being the magician with the ball that he is actually travelling in every single game he plays. Players in the 80s/90s weren't allowed to have "handles" like that. Those were travel/carry violations. The whistle blew on those dudes so those street ball theatrics would end up being TOs. During the 90s, a lot of us took for granted the great NBA matchups because there were so many of them. We didn't actually realize how great it was until those days were over.
