False title. If you say she's tired in the first minutes of the video that means she's taking a break but what does Hollywood have with this? She can start taking work in whenever she's done relaxing.

I agree. They say "Hollywood won't cast her/him anymore!", then go on to list all of the things they've been cast in recently. What they're talking about are big-budget leading roles, and that's not the same thing.

She has played "Manic Pixie Dream Girls" But 500 days of summer was criticizing that trope. I would watch the movie again

It would be interesting to see her do a 180 and show up in a horror film, but not as the damsel in distress, but rather a darker part that plays off her perceived persona.

That title is extremely misleading and condescending to the actor

Zooey is a hidden Hollywood gem with a loyal following, ironically the industry will always be unworthy of real talent and a fantastic actress. Missing you much Zooey, can't wait to see you again on the big screen.

I love Zoey and the New Girl and it broke my heart when it ended.

I love her voice. She actually sang the themes for Winnie the pooh too. I know her beautiful voice anywhere.

She got married and had 2 kids while filming new girl. So I’m sure she wanted to spend time with her family. She did a live version of beauty in the beast in LA 8 months ago and did a small tour for her band she & him.

It's been 2 yrs since her show ended... and she was in the recent Trolls movie I think she'll be fine

I believe her to be physically beautiful, but ageism for women in Hollywood is very difficult to overcome. I suspect that will play a part of seeing her perform in fewer roles, that and having small children/young family to balance out with work as well.

I don't think her problem is ageism. I think it's because she plays roles that are made for 25 year old actresses. She put herself into a box, and fans often don't like to see people change.

Her singing voice is so beautiful it’s mesmerizing!

The first time I'd heard of and seen Zooey Deschanel was in the miniseries "Tin Man" (a different telling of The Wizard of Oz). What a beauty! I have only sporadically seen some of her other work, and loved it when she appeared alongside sister Emily Deschanel in an episode or two of the series Bones, in which Emily was the series lead.

I'll hire her for a role as my girlfriend.

She was also the music teacher in Bridge to Terabithia.

She did just have two small kids and just finished a show for 7 years. She’s probably tired. Plus, she has her band she and him.

I first noticed her in the movie The new Guy, I was so impressed by her singing that I had to look her up to see if that really was her.

Saw her and Paul Rudd 8 years ago on a trip to Manhattan, they were recording the post-sauna scene from "Our Idiot Brother" and stayed at the New Yorker Hotel. Got the opportunity to watch it behind the scenes though, it was cool.

I thought “Manic Pixie Dream Girl” started after Natalie Portman in Garden State which was a whole year before Elizabethtown came out.

No doubt she's my ultimate celebrity crush in Hollywood and I hope she could make more films, series and even commercial I really like and adore her eyes, smile, voice the way she laughed and talks everything that She used to be

Its really hard, and every generation has it but all actors eventually leave the fame and live there lives, and we the veiwer love them so much we hate to see them go but shes been doing this about 20 years thats a long spot light really, she's probably more than set on money, acting is work when your getting paid that much why not retire early.

Her in The Happening is possibly the most hilariously bad acting performance I've ever seen.

@Slevin You can see in the start of the movie when she is getting the phone out of her bag, the script for her lines at same time. This means that M.Night was giving them all lines as they went along because I guess he wanted the acting to either be shit or like more natural in a sort of way.

I think some Zooey fans are taking this video too personally. Look at her IMDB. The fact that the little work she has done (outside New Girl) is consistently small roles/flops implies she wants to work but can't land great roles. Plus I think N.G. took up a lot of her time and pays well so she isn't too motivated to audition.
