Your view of it can evolve over time. Even so, Oda isn't from a Christian country in the first place so he wouldn't have begun with the assumption that lucifer was evil, he would probably view him as a figure of freedom from the Christian institutions like the jesuits that would send missionaries to foreign lands to collect intelligence for european nations to invade and subject them to the church. The elite satanic cult has degrees. Those at the bottom don't know what those at the top believe, they only know what those at the top want those at the bottom to believe. You don't find out that lucifer is evil the elite cult practices genocide, cannibalism, ritual pedophilia and human sacrifice, and they do it all for their personal gain until you are high up in that cult and proven that you're a psychopath yourself.
