Level design, theming, story, copy abilities, bosses, the side modes, the music, all of it was so strong. It took its robotic theme and RAN with it, being constantly captivating and engaging in a way that made me want to keep the adventure going, see what fun ideas the next stage would bring, and how it would tie everything together in the end. From a design perspective, Planet Robobot best embodies the ethos of the “Return Era” of Kirby: recontextualize and modernize the old to create something fresh and fun. And the Robobot Armor in particular represents this perfectly. It’s genius design, as it encourages you to look at these stages from two new angles: the nimble Kirby and the mighty Robobot Armor. The way you interact with the same enemies, platforms, and hazards completely changes when you find the Robobot Armor, and provides a well-woven spin on the fun Kirby beat-em-up, but it’s not always given to you freely, so it feels very rewarding when you find it and transform not only your kit but effectively the entire stage as well. It’s just so thematically brilliant. While I have a softer spot for Amazing Mirror because I love Exploraction a lot, Forgotten Land is super ambitious, and Return to Dream Land Deluxe is incredibly content-rich, Planet Robobot still comes out on top because of the pure strength of its ideas and how well it executes them to deliver a captivating, engaging, and ultimately satisfying experience from the opening title screen to 100%.

I hope Kirby Planet Robobot gets remastered in HD alongside Kirby Triple Deluxe and gets separate epilogues centered around Suzie and Taranza in their respective games.

I have a really bad feeling that they won’t do it till the next Nintendo console.

To me, I feel like the general love for Robobot comes from two main factors. It's strong theming and its tightened level design. As fun as console multiplayer Kirby can be, it often makes HAL simplify the already simple level design of Kirby. And thus, it can make those who play alone especially feel like the game has no real level depth or thought to it (though I disagree with this). Triple Deluxe being a traditional Kirby building on the already strong formula of Return to Dream Land, and tightening up its level design for single player, pushed this formula's limits. Though as many claim, the Hypernova was a bit slow and gimmicky. The Robobot Armor however works alongside the abilities perfectly and keeps the action moving nice and smooth. And that alongside levels that really feel built around a single player's specific skills just makes it one of the best Kirby experiences. As for the theming, it explains itself. This game has an atmosphere no other Kirby game has. Mechanized Popstar just feels so different from the usual cheerful Kirby energy. And ofc, it does good for the story as well. Mix that with this game really being the start of HAL going crazy with fanservice, and it just all blended into perfection.

Well this happened scarily soon after my first time playing and beating planet robobot

I really love how triple deluxe and robobot contrasts from each other. Triple Deluxe had a heavy fairytale aesthetic. The dreamstalk being reminecint of jack and the beanstalk, magical floating kingdoms, references to fairytales such as the 3 little pigs, or dragons and knights. Meanwhile Planet Robobot is all about an industrial robotical world. The two are polar opposites, and because of that, they feel almost like 2 halves of the same coin. It also helps make both games feel great in their own way, without one feeling like the superior over the other. I love kirby lol

There is the Robobot Video! On a side note, this game is one of the best games when turning on 3D

The hype for this game back in 2016 was absolutely insane! My game store put physical copies on their shelves a week early by accident so I was able to play the game earlier! Best Kirby game

Planet Robobot does the super ability the best because it requires a certain ability to solve all the puzzles. In Return To Dream Land and Triple Deluxe you just get basically the stuff for free, no challenge at all.

Planet Robobot was my first ever Kirby game when I bought my 2Ds XL 6 years ago and I would play that game for hours. It was an amazing introduction to the what the Kirby franchise had to offer to someone new. (It was a choice between a Nintendo switch with star allies or the 3ds) I unfortunately lost the game after 2 year and a half years of owning it. But at least I 100% it

You know Planet Robobot is just one of the best Kirby Games on the 3DS and also the main antagonist in the series Susie Haltmann is just one of the best female Kirby characters from the Kirby series because she looks so cute and beautiful but it would if Nintendo did do a Deluxe version of Kirby Planet Robobot and also adding a new mode for Susie Haltmann where she tries to find her father when Kirby defeated him and Star Dream so that would be cool to see

Planet robobot was my first Kirby game, and I was a Kirby fan for about five month at that point. Wanted to 100% it, but never was able to beat the True Arena lmfao

I first played Planet Robobot a lot of days ago!

Because of everything in that game, it's literally 100/100

I bought this game and the amiibos for it on the same day they came out when I was 13. I remember being so hype for it.

Planet Robobot is based as heck especially it had one of the most hyped and best final boss ever in the kirby series

As much as i love Triple Deluxe, i think Robobot is more worthy of a remake/HD port, and as a lot of people think, Susie should get a side mode based around how she escaped Another Dimension, since the main aim of Magolor Epilogue was to show what became of him after the end of RTDL

Kirby planet Robobot is a great game, one of the best in terms of Kirby. But sometimes it goes trough my head that in 2016 edgier and "cooler" than things are right now. I do think that happens with this game a lil' bit, but it's just a minor gripe, the game's still really good, even if I sometimes get distracted by that

I remember saving up to buy this game when I was around 9 or 10 and absolutely LOVING it, I actually thought it was super underrated at the time

I like machine themed stuff. So this was one of the most perfect games for me to pick up.

I like triple deluxe, sure, but in my opinion Robobot deserves more praise

i miss playing this, hope it gets ported to switch sometime.

Planet Robobot NEEDS a remake!😆 Plus, at any choice, it'd be amazing to see Susie Haltmann prevails against her backstory again, and her to become a true hero just like Kirby.

At that time in 2016 in my eyes, Planet Robobot was just Return to Dreamland BUT BETTER.

I personally think that Return to Dream Land is still the best Kirby game, I wasn't a huge fan of the more slow paced puzzle-solving type of level design that the 3ds games had.

I really want this video game! It looks so lit and fun.

I loved Kirby planet robobot as a whole and it’s amazing to see the visuals and the game design all of the characters and bosses that fills the idea was so goo and the ending was really sad & cute at the the same time and I would imagine if planet robobot had a DLC and if Fecto Forgo appeared in Kirby planet robobot instead of Kirby and the forgotten land the creative eniournmemts and they are son examples of why everyone wants planet robobot to come back to life rather would it appear as a sequel or a remake or even some pieces of the game hidden as some type of object or a fragment of a boss ore even references of the game and the final boss as well with new abilities or some mods coming back the the supernova for triple deluxe, The friend hearts from star Allie’s the robobot armor would have its own super abilities from return to dreamland and mouthful mode from forgotten land and some returning ones like archer,laser,staff, sand,Mecha, ranger, drill, Wrestler, bell, and even new one like eclipse, Axe, Clock, or a sheriff ability I hope Hal labs would own bring back planer robobot on the Nintendo switch

nintedo needs to make a remake of this game.

Planet Robobot is certainly the best game in the entire series, it is to it what Sonic 3 is to the Sonic series Despite having played all the games from "Return to Dreamland" to "Blowout Blast", I have to admit that, as I said myself, Planet Robobot is the best game in the series... But it's not my favorite To be honest I prefer Triple Deluxe but since it's my favorite 3DS game it's not the best But I'm curious if the sequel to Forgotten Land it won't turn out to be better than Planet Robobot but who knows

This game, Metroid Samus Returns and Kid Icaris on 3ds needs to be re-released on Switch ASAP!

Robobot seemed to take quite a bit from Kirby 64 - the robot changing its form based on its ability is similar to the combining abilities from that game without feeling too bloated, while many of its bosses used the circular arena to great effect - Clanky Woods, Susie, President Haltmann and even the final form of the True Arena's last boss used this format, complete with being able to loop back behind your foe.

Kirby Planet Robobot needs to be in the Nintendo Switch, that game was PERFECT. the gameplay, the SOUNDTRACK, chef’s kiss. I said this and il say it again, compared to Kirby Planet Robobot and Triple Deluxe, Kirby Planet Robobot is better, but hey! both games are very good. If I was in the Kirby Team, I would be a contributor, if SOMEHOW Kirby Planet Robobot gets added to the Switch, I would name it Kirby: Planet Robobot REBOOTED. Kirby Planet Robobot and Triple Deluxe are great games also cause they have NEW ABILITIES that weren’t on Kirby Star Allies, KATFL (Kirby And The Forgotten Land), any Nintendo Switch kirby game. Even Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe.

I remain the only person on the planet that would place Planet Robobot as one of my least favourite Kirby games but I still understand why people love it so much
