I stopped giving money to beggars Once I met an old man ,skinny close to skeleton yet he is working despite the age , he always carries shovel, sickle, walking stick for support. He does all odd jobs from cleaning to gardening. He was over 87 now almost past 9 year. Huge respect for him. 🔥

Do not give money to anyone who begs. Rather offer food. If you are giving a pack of biscuits, open it, take a couple of biscuits and then give the rest. In this way you can ensure the food is eaten and not sold back.

I have an another level story 🔥🔥 When I was travelling in a train a child came to a person and ask for money. The person offered him food after eating the food the child pretended like to unconscious and suddenly some members of the begging group came and accused him for giving something poisonous. The person was very shocked and desperate he gave them money to treat the child. But the main thing was after some time I again saw the same child begging from others

Same case..my brother was going to give some amount to a lady begger then an uncle (shopkeeper) stopped us.and tried to give her food and a packet of biscuits ..guess what? She refused to take that..😂 uncle ne btaya fir.. Uski earning 4k-5k din ka hai... I'm not stingy but I respect food, clothes, money and hidden love of someone who is trying to give me something whole heartedly. Office k ander meri ek reputation h jisko maintain krna pdta h baki bahar ki life me show off se mera dur dur tak koi lena dena h aur is level pr h ki ek 12k earn krne wala bhi mujse expensive lifestyle afford krta h aur me 45k earn krne pr bhi 9k se jada khrch nhi krta aur rare cases me 10k. I'm down to earth and I like me this way. I believe in simple living high thinking. Where 12k salaried person is living in a flat of 6500 rupee flat I'm living in a 4500 flat (that too with restrictions). I love pizza but I ate it 3 months ago, I eat homemade food or wasted food by my frnds. 3 months ago too that pizza was ordered by a frnd but his hunger was satisfied in 3 pizzas while he ordered 4, so that way I got 1. I respect and save money. Still koi pehchan wala meri comment pdh kr udhar mangne aaya to 500 bhi nhi dunga is liye apna plan drop kr dena mujse mangne ka. HDFC wale account k balance ka ss lekr bta duga ki kuch nhi h mere pass. Tumhe kya hi pta chlega ki BOI me kitna h mere pass. However, conclusion is that ki vo begger nhi lete biscuits but me le luga. In some way they're still better at managing their cravings on such stuff. Muje to dedo koi bhi kuch bhi. Le luga yrr sab, khana, kapde, pyar sab kuch.

The same thing happened with me.

I remember when I went Delhi for a small trip. A kid arrives towards me who was a begger. He literally spoke he needed 20rs. Since I felt bad I was about to open my purse when my mom stopped me telling that not to give them. But my dad gave them 5rs. When I was about to return from that place the kids again came to me asking for money but my dad scolded them asking "tumhare maa baap kamate nhi hai Kya?" Then that rickshaw driver told me. They show their vuranable state in morning to collect money and at night they do chicken party with that money. He also mentioned their earning is 2000-3000 per day!!

Few years before I decided to give tips to waiters, courier boys, food delivery boys, in short I give money to people who work and not not beg ! Correct me if I am wrong !

Tip should be special for example if you see a courier boy or a waiter taking more pain and effort to service you then a tip is must but if he is just doing his work then i dont think there is a need of a tip. Tip should motivate them if the same is received every time thry feel this there birth right to get tipped.

I am a shop owner from Chhattisgarh, usually 7-8 beggers come to our shop in a day. They dont take 1-2 rupees they ask for minimum 5-10 rupees. That means its a daily 60-70 expense for us. I dont even have netflix to save some money and giving them monthly 2000 is a lot. So we starting to keep a bag of rice Rs. 150 (rice is cheap here) at our shop and it lasts for a month. Rs. 2000 decreases to Rs. 150 and real needy gets to feed them self.

I had an incident with a beggar. When I was going home after buying a pizza, a person came to me and told his sad story that, he belongs to a different town and came here for some work but he ran out of money and wanted some cash to have his dinner. The first time I ignored hime and tried to pretend that I have no Change. But on the other hand I thought, what if he really needs some money. Finally I gave him some money and went home. A few days later I was going to the bank with my grandpa, the same person came to me and asked for money. Then I repeated the same story he told me and after listening to me he just ignored me and moved on.....

I had similar one too , it at the hospital I study .. a old man asked me 5rup for tea .I just gave out of pity but he is doing the same to all walking around all the gates of hospital , some people show fake reports n ask for help for treatment , some say I lost my purse I need to go home lend me some money for bus ticket , it's becoming very hard to tell who is telling lies n who really need help ..

One solution according to me: One can employ them rather giving them money. Condition: If he/she can afford it. Example: A bussinessman can employ a begger, if he really want to help him. I know that it is not much practical, but you can really help a needy by doing so. Also by doing this one cannot be a part of a nexus.

Happened with me. An old man who spoke English (yes) asked me for food. Then he said he's feeling sick due to food and asked for money or else he said he'll file a police case.

I love small vendors be it food or clothes they try best and contribute to society.

A few years back (4 years I think), a beggar asked for money. The only change I had on me was a Rs. 5 coin. I gave it to him. He looked at it and asked for more. I said I did not have any more to spare. He stared at me in utter disgust and anger for a whole minute and threw the coin I gave him on my face and walked away. I have not paid another beggar since, till date.

I had a horrible experience outside a mall when a kid came to me i thought asking for some money. But he was asking me to buy him movie tickets. He was acting so innocent and was touching me again and again. People were staring at me thinking I wasn't helping him but that wasn't the case. Above that when I told him that i will complain to sicurity he literally challenged me to go and do it. I was so shocked.

My brother also told me a story that a beggar were sleeping in a particular area everyday so people started assuming that he is the owner of that place that's why he's always here . Then a builder maded a deal with that begger and now they both are 50,50℅ partners of that place. 🤣

Great work very informative. It's better to give them to whom you know in your surrounding and better to give relative who are weak.

Advise which I fallow - dont give money instead donate eatable things by opening packets so that shop person will not take open packet back . And many times I saw when I offer food they say no and will move to next person

My experience. A little boy around the age of 8-9 came to me asking for money. I was about to give him that cause i usually donate but my dad came back from the shop and stopped me he said "he will just go and buy local drugs and eventually die" actually my dad is a police officer in that area and he is well aware about what goes on etc. So as I was saying my dad stopped me and he said those things infront of that child so i looked at that kid and after looking at his eyes it really felt he wasn't in his right state, like something was wrong. My dad offer him some food he said come he will buy some but that child didn't went he kept on asking for money and eventually my dad just made his go away. I think if that kid really wanted money for food he would have accepted the offer from my dad. I have offered food to many begger especially the ones that came to my home while wandering around and they accepted it happily but that kid just wanted money probably for something bad.

There are genuine poor people who Beggs as well... But certainly those who choose begging as Business model, majority of them come from peaceful community.. the have a structured network...

I had a very similar experience related to beggars. So the incident goes like this I live in Kolkata, and during the Durga Puja, I, along with about 10 other friends, went for pandal hopping. So, while we were coming out of the railway station, we saw a whole lot of beggars. Most of them looked out of place. They seemed like they weren't even local and just had come here for "season". So, while we were exiting the station, a few kids started pulling our dresses violently. One of them pulled a friend's dress so hard, that her dress was mildly damaged. During the ordeal, I had just a few damaged notes, one of which I gave. They accepted it, even after I said it was damaged. The funniest thing is, the kid whom I gave the money came back to me within a few minutes and demanded more. One of my friends told him to go away. He meanwhile punched my friend and me and ran away. After Puja, we never saw them again. It seems like there is a big nexus of these beggars and in the garb of begging, also a human trafficking nexus. Human trafficking is not unheard of. But that may very well be the closest thing to human trafficking which I saw with my own eyes.

In west bengal, the qualified students are protesting against ssc commission because they qualified Pre-mains,mains but didn't get job..........cbi has Started to take action against corruption in west bengal, Many students who passed and cleared ssc but didn't get any joining letter being even shortlisted, are suiciding😧

And here I was thinking I was helping the poor in times of COVID by giving them oil and milk... Bt I still choose to help / give cuz some day someone might actually need it.

There is no choice we have to stop giving money ,I know it is a difficult decision but this is only way to remove the problem from the root and i know there can exceptions it depends on everyone's point of view.

I always used to help beggars whenever I encountered, and most of the time there's old age people like 60 or over i did not think of begging was a business this whole time but i do help them whenever i see them. This video is very informative though! 👍🏻

That's why my strict and loving mother works hard to get money to live in peace for me, not begging. I like her

Okay I do the exact same thing as your mother and surprisingly they do it like ghar ke pocha lagana and all.

After doing schooling and then completing a ba llb 5 year degree and then working free for 2 years and then earning 8000 per month for 8-8 job 5 hours of begging seems really reasonable Keep in mind that a really good sum of money is spent in education too and that time was wasted too because of not begging Seriously why shouldn’t i beg other than moral obligation

I think due to not supporting small vendors begging is increasing because these people know that no one will buy from them.

There are some people who are really poor , don't have job and means of earning. They remain hungry for some days, but they don't beg , we have to find out such people and help them.

What I think is the best way to counter this is instead of giving them money, give them food and you will see wide majority of those beggers will deny food and will ask for money instead. Then you know who is in actual need and who is not.

I live in a remote village in jharkhand I regularly travel by a local train to jamshedpur where one thing is always constant a lady beggar asks for money like it's her right to get that and she must be getting near to 2000-3000 in a day on other hand in many villages in jharkhand people can't even manage to earn more than 1500-3000 in a month.

The best thing I do when I find kids begging is I give them something to eat instead of giving them money..

That's the reason Begging is haram for educated people who could earn themselves through job. Give money to those people who really needs.

I'm from hyderabad and I've had a few incidents with beggars. The newest trend these days is, to hold a prescription and to beg at signals. Another is, kids will apply some kind of gory paint on their arms or legs to make it look like they're bleeding, have pus on their wound as well as some sort of green thing. It is so shocking to look at. But the child will be talking and laughing at the signal just before the traffic lights turn red. A couple of years back, I was taking my new born to the hospital and my husband was with me. One man came to our rickshaw at the signal and asked us to buy a packet of plastic bags from him for 50 rs as his mother was hospitalized nearby and he needed to buy medicines. My husband being really kind hearted agreed and just pulled out his whole bunch of notes to pull out a fifty. He handed him the fifty and the man threw it back and started crying that his mother his sick and nothing has been cooked in their house for the last 4 days and he was basically eyeing the 500 notes. I calmly told my husband to just put everything back in his pocket and thankfully the light turned green just then. I encountered this same man 18 months later doing the SAME thing with the SAME story but at a different place. So glad that we didn't give anything in the first place.

It's hard to choose one option, but it's always better to know who's scamming us.

As my opinion we use to provide initial, requried products as alternative of money like Water bottle and food.After that if they refused the item then we should move out.

I get that people want to get an easy and more profitable way of earning but what about the people who actually need the money to eat atleast 2 times a day ? I feel sorry for those who are not getting the help even when they are the ones who need it.

Our education system needs to improve.

Whenever someone (beggar) beg my mom.... showing their children saying that they didn't eat for days or they don't have clothes to wear ....my mom always would tell them to give their children to her saying she would send them to a nice orphanage or rise them herself or send them to a school to get a proper education...They immediately say no or go away without saying anything ....I thought maybe they didn't wanna leave thier children but gosh they r using their own children to do such things! It's Horrible 🤯

Thts true wht evr u told here my sister ... I had also gone through in a same case ... One begger comes daily to my store but one afternoon he came with his family to beg then I asked tht begger y he brought his family n also asked tht begger I need a staff for my store if he wants his son can work at my store n offered a gud salary but m socked tht begger denied me n replied his income is more than I offered... Frm Next day I asked all the store not to pay a single money if he comes ... I don't know if I did right or wrong..but my concept is if ther r really eligible to do any work then y they r begging !!!!... Now a days tht begger not coming to this area ..may b he diverted to other place for begging.... But I really don't want to hurt anyone atleast....

What one can do is in a case where the beggar is asking for food or medicine, just year the packet and then give it to them. In this way, they won’t be able to return it also.

Never end up on their demands.. If they are begging than offer food.. but never give money.. in this way u can help urself from guilt and the needy peoples also.. sometimes if we don’t give money, we feel bad. Bt offering Food like vada pav and water will help those needy one who is real not ree or artificial..

Hi Nikitha, amazing video. Shocking but true. Thank you for sharing this. Please research and make a video on the high tech donation scams organised with help of Ketto and other crowd funding companies. I see lot of KZread Ads where they make videos of patients crying for help etc. I feel sorry for them but it makes me wonder if some of these are scams. Ketto is known for not strictly checking authenticity.

Simple and underrated reason : Reservation

It all depends of person's dignity and self respect many people are so get used to beg that it gets addiction nevertheless how much they are making out of it and many are there who has their Dignity as pride so they will do whatever small work they find but they won't beg

I usually give him toffees to those helpless children rather than some stupid coins

The problem of unemployment or underemployment is big. But not all individuals will resort to begging because it would shatter one's self esteem. Therefore only those individuals would decide to beg who are finally driven by hunger or after all attempts are not able to get work. We need to find out if one can get some work in our society if one tries hard enough. It is also possible that work one may get is tough and hard work and instead begging is easy and lucrative.

In my opinion , give always them food not money 💸.

It is best to give food and make them eat in front of you if you want to help. It does make me feel bad when a guy had asked for food at a station and i did not buy him anything which he would eat in front of me.

We all think how hard life is for beggars but the reality is different . They just do freaking nothing and take advantage of people's sympathy . While many *Disabled* people work their ass off to earn a little bit of money may be less than these beggars who have no self respect and live their life on pity of others . Hats Off to those all people keeping their head up 💯. Although there are still many needful individuals . In case you want to help them , I would suggest just give them *Things they want* and *not money* . This way the needful will get help and these lazy folks will get their lesson

Thanks for this video. A beggar used to come to my house especially in the afternoon and disturb my rest. I initially gave him money. Then I realized that he will buy some food to eat so in his next visit I gave him a packet of biscuits, he refused to take it. Once I was watching him at a neighbors house. The neighbors had gone out. The beggar though that no one was around so he sat down and removed a bundle of notes from his pocket and began to count them. Unfortunately I didn't have my mobile at hand otherwise I would have taken the video. After the offer of biscuits the beggar now skips my house

my only funda is to take those beggars to a food stall and offer them a meal. i sometimes kinda become surprised to see that they refuse to eat the food and ask only for money.

People in India have kind hearted to donate money that's why they are because millionaire
