Welcome to our new series "Why does this topline work?", where we look at K-Pop topline case studies and break down why they work so well. This series would help you see various songwriting rules in practice, understand how professionals write their toplines and help you elevate your own toplining game.
Our first case study is (G)I-DLE's Super Lady - a song which breaks songwriting rules from the very beginning, yet it works very well. Today we are breaking down what rules they follow well, and the intelligent ways in which they bend them.
