In our latest Euro Football Daily Explained we look at how Germany is producing some of the very best managers in the world. Hansi Flick, Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp have all won the Champions League in the past 3 seasons, meanwhile Julian Nagelsmann has become the head coach at Bayern Munich aged just 34. Everything suggests he could become the latest German to lift the European cup with Die Roten this term.
We explore why the Bundesliga champions young managers, the changes at the turn of the century that lead to a complete shift in the German Football Associations footballing philosophy, and how their licensing process to become a top qualified coach caters towards world class talent. Finally we discover what lessons the Premier League and the rest of the footballing community could learn from Germany’s methods!

Nagelsman retired early and was a kit man for Hoffenheim before becoming one of the most exciting manager in Germany and the Bundesliga. Klopp, Flick and Tuchel are the last three managers to win the Champions league and they are German.
when you dont get the job purely based on your playing career then its obvious youve done something right

One cannot talk about German coaching without mentioning Ralf Rangnick. Klopp's Gegenpress was inspired by his Hoffenhiem in 2008.
They play the best squad on the field, not their mates. They also don't make excuses like some…..😏. You play good, you keep your sport. It’s that simple
The Premier league and EFL could learn a lot from some of these tweaks! Absolutely love the rules about having to have an academy and each coach having to work with youngsters first.
Because to the Germans, football is a passion. Not a cow for milking money. TV rights are cheaper, match tickets are cheaper. Video game licenses are cheaper.

So Naglesman is form kit man to being on of the best manager in the world? Sound just like Nate the great (Ted Lasso reference)
Come on now, have you never heard of Steve Bruce, Neil Warnock, Alan Pardew, Sam Allardyce, Steve McClaren, Mark Hughes etc? Legendary managers, won it all, better than any of these cheap foreign imports pfffft.

Still elite if you think about the likes of Conte, Mancini, Gasperini, S. Inzaghi, Spalletti, Sarri, Ancelotti etc. And there are also some less known underrated managers like De Zerbi, Italiano or Pioli.

@@gabrielzadoni2149 Yeah, Italy are probably the second best behind Germany right now. But they were clearly the best between the 80s and 00s with Ancelotti, Capello, Sacchi, Lippi, and Trapattoni, all of whom won multiple international titles.

Well, Italy have their excellent "Scuola Allenatori" which is why Italian managers often are so successful. Such systems thrive if you stop thinking of managers as "jobs for the boys" but a serious, merit-based profession.
If Woodward & co. give Ragnick the authority he she have, he will be effective at Utd. The problems aren’t with the managers/coaches. Now Woodward said he is willing to stay on instead of leaving at the end of this season. He should have been gone years ago.
Germany makes everything great footballers and luxury cars
Education and sports both are wow👌👌👌

Spain, Italy and Germany all produce world class managers. The difference with Germany is that their playstyle fits better PL thus they look better. German coaches don't work as well in Spain or Italy.
