People can't stop talking about GSP because he's the exact opposite of everything we're used to seeing in real life. We're surrounded by corrupt politicians and corporations consistently doing bad things. Every day we see bad guys win, and even though Disney movies raised us to believe the good guys always win, reality shows us differently. But GSP is that Disney fairy-tale - that kind-hearted "nerd" who protects us from bullies. He's the good guy who wins, and he always did it with class and grace. He'll forever be a fan-favorite and rightfully so.

Want to know how good GSP is? He's a shy, hyper-intelligent nerd with a horrific kaybek accent, still is uncomfortable speaking english, refuses/disinterested in self-promotion, hates being in the cage and having to hurt people (but loves the training), and still he's just so damned good at fighting that he was the biggest draw of his time, and we are all still talking about him. Wanting one more fight. He's famous despite himself, his wackadoodle excellence of hitting people really hard until they can't get up. It's amazing.

alright brother. If you can't infer from the rest of my message that I might have made a choice, try it for yourself. If you say Quebec like a standard english speaker, it'll come out as kwibek. If you say it like a francophone, it'll come out as kaybek. well. approximately. Which is what I wanted to have in the reader's mind. Much like you put a couple extra 'u's in sure to have it dragged out like a cunty 14 year old rolling her eyes. I'll give you the credit for that choice, because I'm smart enough not to be an asshole ... all of the time.

I'll tell you something about GSP. He gives cash to every pan handler he comes across here in Montreal. And we are not talking a couple bucks or a fiver here . He gives hundred dollar bills and fifties regularly. He even gave the entire content of his wallet to the bully who use to beat him up in school when he saw him begging for money. Word on the street is that he will give to anyone who asks, on the condition that they tell him a joke first. Real story.

I live in the mount royal burrough. Lived here for 25yrs. Georges often goes to a popular restaurant near my house called "La Banquise" after the clubs close at 3am. Everyone knows him around here. He speaks to everyone (especially then when he's had a few lol) you'd never guess he's rich and famous. Btw there is a photo of him in the joint on the wall of him eating side by side with the crustiest homeless dude you can imagine. He invited the man in ... most would have left it at that but he invited him to his table and ate with him while asking him about his life. I know everyone here. After a while you get to know all the faces on the streets and talk to a few of them. There's always one begging in front of the place. I know he spoke about the bully encounter on Rogan. But he did mention the bit about emptying his wallet in another interview. On that second one he downplayed it and said that the exact amount didn't matter...

born free Conor has never cut “massive” weight. He walks around at 165. His biggest weight cuts were 20lbs. Which is a fraction of what some fighters cut. Holloway, Romero, even Khabib all cut more than that. Conor has fought a person provably larger than him 4 times. And the only time he looked massive in the cage with someone was Dennis Siver and everyone admits that was an easy night for him.

GSP will never fight again, because Dana White got butthurt both time he stepped away from the sport. When GSP fought juicehead Johny Hendricks, Dana was so eagerd to tell everybody that he thought GSP lost that fight, and tryed to stop him from doing post fight press conference. If it wasn't for the "hang up my gloves for a little bit" comment, Dana would just say it was a close fight and GSP is the greatest ever. If only Dana could say to himself "F**k my ego! Let's give the fans what they want" the sport would be elevated to new hights. But that egotistical maniac cannot seperate buisness from his feelings! Come on Dana!

GSP is the GOAT. He changed MMA, was the first truly MIXED martial artist, and he classed up the sport and everyone else followed suit. Boxers dressed well for press events first, but GSP brought suits to the UFC. His skills are still unsurpassed, and he is hands down the GOAT. Jon Jones could have vied for the title but he tainted his legacy. He can get it back, but he’ll have to put in the work and show us if he’s actually better than GSP, because as of now he is not.

Well GSP has been also a hero for our french nation in Québec since we don't win anymore with the hockey and at any sport and also there is the fact that all our great hockey players goes into some american team we were without any model and with GSP we saw in him a person capable of representing well our nation to the international level and he was winning ! and than the MMA became a national sport there was soo many gym and studio of training for the MMA in Canada at that time due to the popularity of GSP he also elevated this sport to the international level its was a lots of pressure he had the pressure of the UFC and from all the sponsor and also from the Quebec than the rest of Canada and even at the international peoples were fellowing him + all those guys that were calling out for GSP + all the journalist that want an interview with him + he need to train non stop without taking any time to live his life + the stress of being knockout or even killed cause its stay always dangerous you never know what can happen its a lots of stress for a normal person but he did it for soo many years...

I think it’s more about the pride for some of the fighters who call out George. Even if they have the belt and are declared the champion. Their ego or pride can’t handle anyone questioning if they are really the best.

Chael. I went through a similar effect when I was younger. We would travel around having underground fights. I was so good that after awhile I couldn't get a fight unless it was 2 or more against me at once. Taking in account this was back right at the time right before the first IFC. After some time I just quit. My nickname became the "RAGGEDY MAN " because even though I always won, with no rules and no gloves. You can imagine how broke up I would get. After awhile of not fighting anymore. Those that made names for themselves would seek me out in Hope's of being the one that beat the RAGGEDY man. I took a couple more fights after that and just hid away. You see. Everyone wants the "name" the "so called title" looking back at how dumb it was for just handfuls of money every fight and the abuse that had been taken. When you're young, it's the world to you to be entitled. The persona so to say.. as we gain wisdom we become teachers, and then are forgotten.. not even memories exist after your era has past..😏👈

Everyone wants to say that they defeated GSP. Two things: he is retired and it's been a long time since his prime. All those fighters should call out Usman, and Usman should be defending his title instead of looking to fight someone retired, GOAT or not, father time doesn't care.
