for your information, in case you wondered. "Schwarznasenschaf" while being written in a very confusing manner to non-german-speaking people, literally just translates to "black nose sheep". we germans just tend to combine words to make a new one. for example turtle is "Schildkröte" in german, which translates to "shield toad"...so...yeah. hope this was worth a read ^^

Sheep Pokémon are a necessity for Galar- a UK based region. For starters; Wales is extremely famous for sheep and farming, especially for the meat (Welsh lamb is some of the best). From personal experience, you can’t go too far without seeing them in Wales. Side note- Derby, a town in England, is also heavily linked to sheep, to the extent of the sign for it in BSL (British Sign Language) sign is the same as the sign for sheep. Additionally, sheep significant and super important historically in the UK. The Wool Trade was extremely popular, and a massive source of income for many people, and even the country as a whole. Wool was commonly exported and sold globally with the Wool Trade, which allowed a massive source of income for the country. Even without looking far into it, sheep belong in Galar (the UK)- perhaps more so than any other region.

because AFTER the industrial revolution, England began importing most of Europe's cotton. (90% of it) and used their newly invented steam-powered looms to mass produce cotton fabric for the rest of the world. It was significantly faster to export cotton to england, and wait to get the cloth back, than it was to make the cloth at home without the industrial machines.

German here: Walliser Schwarznasenschaf (Black Nose Sheep) is pronounced this way: Schwarz = sch pronounced like sh in sheep, w pronounced like the w in water, arz like the artz in quartz (IPA: ʃvarts) Nasen = N pronounced like n in nose, a is a longer noice like if you get it and say Aah, sen is pronounsed like zen in zengarden (IPA: naːzən) Schaf = Sch like sh in sheep, a again like Aah, and f like f in foul (IPA: ʃaːf) Also the short melody from the german national anthem "Deutschlandlied" is from the "forbidden" first stanza (not really forbidden but extreamly taboo). Which was heavily used during WW2 and is assoziated with this time. If you ever refer to germany again in this way please use the third stanza. (You can lookup this in wikipedia in the article about "Deutschlandlied" second sentence)

Not only a Welsh stereotype. Kiwis are also thought to engage in that activity, although they would call it "sheep sheggung".

Fun Fact, that stereotype started because the Welsh and Scottish during British occupation stole sheep in the middle of the night (because British control over the sheep and wool production was highly exploitative of said people). The theft of sheep and other livestock at the time was punishable by death. Getting caught "shagging" however had a much less severe punishment. So as a common joke goes, must've been pretty awkward for the British soldier who was first given that excuse by the Welshman who got caught in the process of sheep-napping.

Fun Fact about sheep and Age of Empires: In Minecraft, if an Evoker is standing nearby a blue sheep, it will cast a spell that causes the blue sheep to turn red. When that happens, the Evoker makes the same "wololo" sound from Age of Empires, since Microsoft owns both Minecraft and Age of Empires, they have just as much of a right to use that sound effect in Minecraft too.

8:20 I do not recommend using that part of the anthem. We Germans usually only use the third verse. We do that because "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles" (translated: Germany, Germany above everything) is not the best thing to say after 1933 and the following years. Only German viewers will notice but I still recommend using the third verse in videos, or just the instrumental. Love your videos!
