As someone who just wrapped up a college career playing offensive line, I had the opportunity to try it out. It came down to the fit. The F7 is insanely narrow and isn’t meant for wide heads (which most lineman have). A lot of guys wear the speed flex cuz the cheek pads have significantly more sizes to accommodate a large head, which the f7 cannot.

The F7 is the worse helmet. I literally had a headache or concussion after wearing this helmet.

Speed Flex are more appropriate for lineman.

Played with it my senior year in high school as a guard and it was amazing. Now in college I have a speedflex and I miss the f7

What are you doing man, make sure you switch back F7 ASAP…What position do you play?

The NB stands for “No Brow”, remember that they came with their face masks with “brows” for hits to hit the mask instead of the shell.

If it’s not too expensive when released to the public but can you all do a review on the Schutt F7 UR1. It’s set to release in spring. It would be awesome if y’all did it, thanks in advance if you decide to do it

@@kringefest im a qb i got the super skill pads and heres the exact specs i got. i then had them add the rib pro/backplate X2 Custom Shoulder Pads Size (Required): S (17"- 18") Arch (Required): Skill (SK) Epaulet (Required): Super Skill (SS) Cup (Required): Super Skill (SS) Shoulder Foam (Required): 3/8 Inch (SK) Backplate Rib Pro i got super skill on almost everthing Except the arch to protect my shoulders a tad more. super comfy. low profile as hell! and maximum movement

ive worn my f7 at defensive end for 2 years now and has been by far my FAVORITE helmet ive ever worn and it looks really nice for photos

As a tight end whose going into hs football imma ask for this helmet, one of my teammates had an F7 and he let me try it and it feels really good.

dont ask for a helmet in hs yo coach aint gon like dat energy from da start, u gotta earn yo helmet. But most teams will let u buy ur own they js have to paint it to their color and also have to get it reviewed

You dont really lose air in the cold, the air molecules shrink so its the same mass but smaller area taken up. Drive that same car directly from cold to hot and wait like 5mins and the air pressure goes back to normal

Agree during my highschool football year's my school would have riddell speeds and i didn't like them. They were uncomfortable show i decided to buy an xenith x2e and it was so much better

Xenith is the best helmet to have

I have a F7 played with it on O Line it works vreat and my helmet is an XL

You know now that you think about it f7’s Are a great fit for lineman because when we’re in that three point stance we have to be able to look up and see our opponent and the tectonic plates are good for contact and since the helmet is light we can look in different directions as quick as we need to without breaking our necks😂

I play for a D1 8th grade team and I’m starting RT I had a speed at the beginning of the season and got a F7 and it is so much better I had a headache after every hit with the speed with the F7 I don’t

That Og Robot style face mask was originally meant for the most elite skilled position players only. Was never intended to be worn by linemen…Once Riddell set the game back with halo helmets, everything got thrown outta whack…Now we just see anybody wearing anything smh, but helmet & face mask combinations should really be governed in every league based on player position & eliteness.

it runs smaller cuz im a medium speedflex but wear a xl F7 and thats fit nicely and then a large F7 fits slightly tigther

@@21_c1oud6 that’s my one issue with using the F7 just doesn’t feel right fit wise but my Speedflex fits amazingly. I love the look of the F7 cause I grew up wearing the old Schutt buckets before I ever wore a Speed.

I think mostly only college and NFL guys can do them. You may be able to do it but you'll probably have to travel or pay a ton

If the plates are good and allat then why arent there any on the side of the helmet? Shouldn’t they also try to reduce impact on the side of the head? Genuine question not bashing

Aesthetically I think the roundness in the F7 looks better then riddle.

Loving these vids, but respectfully, no, the Schutt F7 VTD does *not* have the same rating as the Vicis O2 Trench. While they're both five stars, the Vicis 02 Trench has a score of 0.52, whereas the Schutt Ltd has a score of 0.75, the Schutt F7 2.0 has a score of 1.35, and the Schutt F7 VTD has a score of 2.54. I'm guessing literally no-one has the Schutt F7 2.0 since it scores lower than the Vicis 02 helmets even though it's more expensive than the Vicis 02s. My guess is that most people either have the Vicis 02 or the Schutt F7 VTD, even though the Vicis helmet is cheaper and has a lower score (which boggles the mind).

Yah could have clarified a bit. When I’m referring to the score I’m talking about the star rating. I think they need to change this because it’s the first thing people see and it’s not indicative of the actual scores when you click on the helmet. So we actually agree!

At the elite levels less than 5% of lineman prefer schutt. HS yah tonnes will but that’s because the equipment managers don’t know as much and don’t have the budgets for unlimited styles and variations

F7 is THE worst helmet out of the new helmets. The padding is there for no reason. Your head hurts the whole game. I was literally concussed a few game because of this helmet. Your cheeks and jaws are exposed. The cheek pads are EXTREMELY flat. Your forehead and nose gets the worse pain. This is literally THE worse helmet EVER. Worse decision of my life.
