As a pharmacy student, we learn that the brand and generic should be the exact same medication/ strength. The only difference are the inactive ingredients which could effect your side effects to the medication. But the brand and generic should be the same drug and strength.

Bonnie Hoellein the fillers in brand versus generic are not necessarily the "better" filler, just different and sometimes not even different

The branded medication has to pay for the research and initial costs to create the medication, which is why they cost more. Once the patent expires (typically 20 years from initial research-about 10 years after consumers are exposed to it) other companies can make their own version. There are many brand name medications that don't hold as high of a rating as their generic counterparts. There are many cases when fillers are even the same, just the cut/color/process may differ. There's no truth in saying brands are better than generics when it comes to medication. There may be generics with ingredients you are allergic to, but I'm sure there are brands with ingredients you're allergic to also. The FDA holds generics to an incredibly high standard. They just don't have to recover the costs for the initial research and studies, so they cost less...

Wonderful simple body positivity talk for the kids! When I was in 8th grade and would be cold with the air conditioner blasting (which I am until this very day), my TEACHER told me in front of the whole class "maybe you wouldn't be so cold if you put on some weight). I still think about it to this day almost 17 years later, because amidst all the skinny comments I received growing up, that one stands out as the most shockingly inappropriate thing for a teacher to say to a 13 year old child developing their body image.

Now, after 24 hip surgeries and not being able to walk for 3 years I am 60 pounds overweight, actually 55 because I have lost 5 lbs. I joined weight watchers and Thursday is my first meeting. My weight loss is because I have been WALKING 2-5 miles a day which my orthopedist believes is a miracle.

Bonnie, thanks for the breakfast talk about body types. As a child and teen I was extremely small(thin) due to not having enough to eat. As an adult even after having children, I was average(size 8-10). Then at 33, I had a hysterectomy and that was the end of my thin days. I’ve been made fun of and had mean things said about being thin and being heavier. I’m 56 and it doesn’t stop. Love your channel.

Lincoln seriously makes my day! As for cold medicine stuff, I started prioritizing keeping healthy so that when I do get sick, it isn’t as severe and it doesn’t last as long! Prevention feels so much better than having to put Tylenol or ibuprofen in my body which helps for the cold & pains but ruins my gut! Which leads to a weaker immunity!

I feel you on that one. Parents tend to be really hard on there kids. Then the kids just get to the point to where they just cry cause there so over whelmed cause there parents are being so hard

LOL!! I loved supper at the end!! That has to be a staple for the ages! “Egg in the hole” is a total Daddy, grandpa, great grandpa meal to make every generation has that special memory and usually from a “male” in the family 😂 🍳 🍞😋

Also... I hated to give my kids lunchables!! They would cry for them. Some didn’t even have an expiration date on them!! I was so glad when they got older and got how gross they were, I did however “make” our own with summer sausage etc. we would also make brownies for a treat. So it went from a fight to a family tradition/memory.

Lunchables have only been around a while here in England and I agree with you Bonnie I would eat one if you paid me but the kids seems to like them at a treat now and again

off brand almost always. They have the same main ingredient it's the "filler" that is different. typically when you get a prescription you get the off brand.
