my account was hacked 1 year ago, im too lazy to ask help from mihoyo so i just let it bcs i was too busy on that time, now i have a lot of free time, i get the account back and start playing again, but now playing the game again make me remember the reason why im too lazy to get my account back LOL

I used to despise our manager because she is so uptight and seem not to care or interact with us but after she caught us playing genshin on our lunchbreak we now now learn that she also plays and have C6 all the archons making her our Archon in the office 🤣🤣🤣. Whats funny is she even creates events and giving out BPs and Welkin as an incentive if we are productive. Now we are a Genshin driven office with higher morale and productivity just for that reason 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 We now all get along and even recruit others who doesnt play at first.

I'd consider making an alternate account if they added a skip button. There's no way in hell that I'm sitting through all those hours of cutscenes ahain.

I restarted the game because my first account was on EU, so I kinda reset to play on NA instead. But I absolutely agree, multiple accounts is INSANE and PAIN. I don't mind the gameplay and artifact farming much honestly because that aspect of Genshin makes me pretty happy, but holy hell redoing the story is ridiculous -- Oh also my main had Aether and I wanted Lumine, they're in every cutscene so I wanted to change it lol

I did restart my account, but only once, and that was because I was a lore head, and favorability. I chose Lumine for my first account because I’m a girl, and she looked pretty cool. I researched before hand about this back then and googled, “Is there a difference between Aether and Lumine?” I got the answer, “No there isn’t,” and just decided to go with my gender as the character. After a week of playing, I realized that there IS a difference with Lumine and Aether. First off, I like Aether’s design more, but I only realized this later on while playing. Then there’s also the fact that Aether is quicker and faster on land than Lumine, but Lumine has more damage output than Aether. And lastly, I realized that miHoYo advertises Aether more than Lumine in their advertisements as the main character, and Lumine as the antagonist. I like sticking with the character the company itself thinks is the main character most of the time since cutscenes and trailers outside on KZread and Twitter it can confuse me seeing Lumine displayed as the antagonist while riding a ruin guard hand looking down on Aether with Paimon fighting while on a cliff when I play as Lumine as the protagonist. I know this is a dumb reason to restart an account, especially since I had just gotten my first 5 star, Jean, at the time (I still don’t have her on my new main account to this day more than 2 years later), but I had just gotten into the game for like a week, so I didn’t lose too much progress. I was just getting into Liyue I’m pretty sure. In the end though I don’t regret it. I still think Aether is an amazing character and I still like him more than Lumine. Every time I used Lumine I felt weird and jealous of other players who chose Aether. Since I get jealous easily I decided to just restart it, I felt so much better afterwards. So I guess there’s another reason why someone could make a ‘second’ account.

I have a similar problem where I had picked Aether, but after a few months I started to despise looking at him, but at that point my account was AR 45 with Kazuha, and completely caught up with the main story so to this day I don’t get to use Lumine

Ive been playing for like 2 years now i think and still have so much to do on my main, i cant relate to the people who complain about "lack of content". GI is one of the most content filled games I've ever played, I'm just not speedrunning it and doing other things/playing other games too lmao Personally i have 2 accounts, with my main being well.. my main, and my second acc having characters i like but couldn't/decided not to get on my main so its essentially completely different team comps i can mess with if i ever get bored. Still, I rarely find myself logging onto my alt since maintaining 1 account is enough work already and im a very casual/more of a lore player. I don't understand how someone can have the time and motivation to play on several and act as if its the games fault they binged it all instead of just enjoying the game like a normal person but maybe thats just me

I feel like another small reason would be to play with friends in other regions. I've met people on genshin servers who play in the EU region and so I made and EU account so I could vibe with them and also to get the 5 stars I dont really care for as kind of a win win situation for myself.

"Shipping every character thats the same sex together" I mean, what do you expect when half of the cast is at the very least mildly fruity. Hoyo knew what they were doing

Like, look at the last lantern rite cutscene and tell me the exchange between Beidou and Ningg is just them being "good friends" (there are other examples ofc but its the most obvious one) Aaaalso all the "basically a date" quests/hangouts that stay the same no matter whether you pick Aether or Lumine (With a notable exception in that one desert quest where Jeht has exclusive interactions if you play as Lumine and its pretty obvious what they were going for there)

Like, we don't have anything as explicit as with B&N, but still, Ei giving Yae her Gnosis, Yaes teasing with Ei, both in person and through other means (i think there was a book in Yae Publishing House about the Electro Archon being "smitten by a kitsune") aaans Yaes "please take care of my Archon" line in Eis story quest. Like, if Ei wasnt so oblivious to literally everything relating to feelings I imagine we would have an another Beiuangg on our hands (Also their Honkai counterparts are stated to be lesbian but I dont know the details so idk if thats even relevant) Aaaas for Xingqiu and Chong, I agree that it could be debatable, espexially since like, even if they were gay they probably wouldnt know since both of them are pretty bad at read g social ques (or they're just young, idk) Still, the two of them are definietly a matched set, with all their Ying and Yan symbolism and "opposites attract" trope. And so far as we’ve seen from the story raiden is indifferent towards yae. Also their counterparts are considered lesbian because of the manga mind you that later got revised and scrapped aka non canon. After experiencing the TikTok and watching a couple of this guys videos, I can deduce that this is the sanest Yelan main (that actually has valid reasons for hating stuff). The Yelan Stan’s on TT are a whole new breed of weirdos

I used to have to manage two genshin accounts (my sister and I) to complete daily commissions, do quests, events etc. And I’m telling you, it’s extreme hell. Mostly because I only had 1 hr 30 mins of screen time per day to finish all of that on both accs and the fact that we don’t have our own phones to play genshin plus I had my HSR commissions to finish. I had to skip the god awfully long dialogues and watch cutscenes repeat so many times I feel so drained. Thank god we have our phones back (until Jan) and she can finally manage her account by herself without me needing to do all the work. The 3.8 quest was the most draining for me. I literally only explored the map just to get Kaeya’s skin, and guess what, my sister also wanted the skin, so I had to explore the whole bottle map AGAIN. AND DO THE WHOLE QUESTS AGAIN. I barely do exploration and given my screen time, it’s surprising that I finished the event and acquired the skin on both accs

Despite picking Aether and regretting that decision 2 years later I would rather look at him than open a new account with lumine and without all the 5 stars and units I invested so much time and money on

I have a F2P and non-F2P account. I really only play the F2P one for the Abyss challenge and don't really explore quests/overworld there. Plus to try out some characters I missed on my main that I wasn't 100% sold on. Ofc when it comes times to grind a new character it's nice to have an extra world laying around. Oh, and some people use them for cool pictures and videos! It's a lot easier to time 2 Burst being used when you're in control. Or one character might be used as a "camera" for a scene.

As much as I love the game, it’s definitely not a fun game to replay all over again and for me it’s mainly because of the gacha system where doing challenge runs with certain characters takes forever to get started (respect to Mistahfeet’s dedication for going through multiple emails just to start a Qiqi run lmao) and there are no dialogue skips which is more than enough reason to not make a new account. Every point you made is valid, Except that Dehya opinion lol, keep up the good work! Usually I never comment but seeing someone that is not afraid of expressing their opinion inspires me to do something like this someday.

I made an alt account for a few reasons. I wanted go see lumine, see other dialogue options and get to build other teams for my characters and after playing for some time here are my thoughts. 1. Literally nothing felt different with lumine. You barely even hear the MCs talk cause mihoyo. Whats even the point of having a different mc then? The only difference was the 2 dialogues from that jehtt quest which i forgot the next day cause its not even the archon quest. 2. Mihoyo doesnt even bother 99.9% of the time in giving a different response. The other 0.1% of the time you can choose to fight the enemy earlier or fight later after which is still shit. 3. This one kinda makes sense. In my alt I got yelan and kazhua. Those two characters made the game so much more fun that I pulled them on my main. I can use yelan in al haitam team in my main while my alt uses yelan. I can try out more team comps. Imo don't waste you time even though you can try new team comps. You could do more stuff instead of spending time on a stupid alt account. The alt account also made me burn out 10x faster. Only people who should make an alt account is kids who have got so much time but their parents dont give them money or a youtube making content. But without my alt account i would have never met yelan

The main reason I made my second account wasn’t so much a hard gimmick, as it was a way for me to try out alternate play styles with characters I didn’t see as necessary for my main account.

Ah, so i started playing four-six days after launch on ps4. And that thing is heavy, literally. So when two or three months later i needed to go on a two and a half weeks vacation i obviously couldn't bring my ps4 with me. At that time there was no cross-platforming in a sense it exists now, and i really wanted to play the game because at the time i was strangely addicted to it (as we all were, let's be real) so i created a mobile account. This was the main reason. And i kinda became lucky there right away: got Diluc and Xingque from the novice banner and Diona and WGS from the weapon banner. Pretty much it was destiny. So i thought "why not give it a try and see where it'll take me", so the grinding started. On both accounts. Burn out? Never heard of it, i luv grinding! Both accounts are ar60 now, both can 36* abyss. On my main i mostly play geo units with variations of Ayato teams while my second account looks more like an account of a normal person who plays through reactions. They do share a couple of units like Zhongli, Kazuha and Kokomi, but overall i was trying to build different characters there that i don't use or don't have on my main like Nahida, Rosaria, Keqing, Yelan, Shenhe etc.. This way i was able to play all characters i like this or that way. My third account was created a year ago. It's a challenge account - catalyst only. And after playing it i understood that.... I don't really like to play like a normie. Geo on my main is amazing, i have fun with it all the time. Completing puzzles on catalyst account is hella interesting. But my second account is so standard and boring i just can't.... So i decided to drop it. I will check on it from time to time, maybe i'll get c1 Shenhe there or c2 Nahida, or c2 Yelan, i dunno.... But for the last half a year i was playing on it less and less. Don't get me wrong, i don't log in every day on my main either. It's just despite the fact that i got burned out quickly than i should've been, i still like this game. I like playing specific characters, i like getting new characters, i don't do exploration unless i need primos but i still have fun when i do explore just not in the same way it was at the beginning. But let's be honest - doing all the events three times is really.... tiring... eh... In terms of quests i usually do it on one account and then take a huge break before doing it on the other or the third one. And a huge break is like 3-4 months between doing those. Yeah, i'm one of those rare people who didn't have Raiden boss in my world because i was lazy doing her quest for about a year (finally done it like a month ago maybe). Anyway, my point is... Don't create multiple accounts or at least rotate them properly, don't be me. Ok?

As a multiple accounts haver,i can explain a little. So when i created my first account i was having fun and all,got to ar45 But i forgot my password so i created an another account and to my surprise,i got keqing on my first 10 pull and i grinded the sht outta that account which became my main acc(btw)And when i got a new phone i created an another account and just left it for 2 month or so. And then when i was logging in one day i accidentally logged into the new account and i just claim the primos and did some pull.And i got wanderer.After a lil while i got my first accounts back and have been playing on 3 accounts ever since. If ur wandering, I don't farm in any of my accounts,i have tons of quest i need to do,i barely even explore. The area i unlocked are in the way of some world quest or Archon quest.i just log in,do my commissions and events. Over all,i would say the reason i play 3 accounts is that i can play different characters without any hard work or so.Because i have 3 accounts i get to play 12 different 5 star characters and a lot of 4 stars too.I think that's why.Maybe.

Can i ask you a question pls as I want your take as someone who plays on multiple accounts to experience other characters: I wanna know if you are able to collect the supports to make the 5 star you got playable/unlock new game mechanics with them. I dont mean stuff like getting c6 frazuan for max meta wanderer for example but just getting c0 frazuan for buffing + energy reg. Or getting a good hydro applier + cyro battery + vv holder for ayaka for example (doesnt have tobe her top supports like kazuha/shenhe). Im asking because im genuinely curious if its either easy to get viable supports on accounts you dont fully grind in or if it doesnt matter for gameplay for those characters? I myself have alot of fun playing the game by doing random team comps so see how characters interact or trying to fix certain character limitations with others (best example is my poor ass never getting c1 hu tao out of pure spite and getting xianyun to fix the stamina problem instead) so I really wanted to know if my enjoyment of the game is niche or is my worries overblown? Sry again for yapping my head off and i appreciate your take on the matter

I've been playing genshin for more than 2 years now and I made a second account not so long ago. I've been fighting burnout for a while now on my main, but when I made that second account and started playing from the beginning again, I started to enjoy the game again. Still find it boring on my main, but for whatever reason I now play regularly on my second account. I guess there is something about experiencing the early story again and progressing through that early game that makes it fun for me.

Watched most of the video, and I completely agree. Ignoring that I don't have the time to play Genshin 24/7, I can't fathom playing such a huge game even a second time, let alone one where you're tied to an online service for hundreds if not thousands of more hours. Making Genshin the only hobby of mine would be hell. While not the same thing per se, I share the same sentiment with people who reroll. I never understood it, though I know it's because meta reasons or someone wants their favorite character. Fine. But then Reverse 1999 releases, I see this one guy reroll over 50 times in the first week running 6 emulators at once just to reroll one character and I think "my brother in Christ just accept your fate and preserve what few dopamine receptors you still have left." If the game becomes a second job (excluding content creators, etc.), then it's not a game anymore at that point.

I'm considering making another one just to go through the early story again. Fontaine has me actually interested in the game lore after mostly skipping through dialogue and stuff when I first started. Now I want to go back and check out the early story with the knowledge I have now. I wouldn't really build characters or teams beyond what I needed to clear story content though

I did this, i want to redo the archon quest later on, so i have my 2nd acc still at AR35 with hold experience enough to get to AR57. I only do mondstadt and liyue archon quest initially, but i have to do inazuma as well because the regions is locked behind archon quests. Haven't play (doing dailies) on my 2nd acc for more than a year, but i always take the free primogems between patch. If are a lore enthusiast u might wanna start it now, get to AR10 so u can get most of free primo they give so u can have a good 5* to carry u later on when the story is concluded

I’m making this comment after watching the intro (first one minute) and would like to state my reasons for why I think having multiple accounts is a good thing (though I will definitely edit after finishing) I have two main accounts which make being a f2p a ton lot easier, I can get more characters by doing so and have more interesting ways of building teams since just like in abyss you can only have 1 character on each side the same applies to my accounts which makes planning teams more complicated which I enjoy, and when it comes to time wasted I used to play 3 gacha games so two genshin accounts and star rail (which individually I love more than the previous games Ive played) isn’t that big of a change in time though my sanity vastly suffers from the no “skip dialogue” option Edit: wow these were actually good points ngl

Making another account for farming purposes is extremely smart that way you can get materials without taking them from someone else's world

All the points stated in the video are super valid and I totally agree, though the only ever reason I actually created a 2nd account, was to join a friend I really wanted to play together with at that time (on another server). But well, in the end I stopped having contact with that person so now that account will be forever stuck on AR18 (which I'm kinda glad about since I seriously don't want to do the Aranara Quest EVER again). I agree with you, the trauma this game gave me was too much, the mere thought of it makes me want to quit i do have a 2nd account, but that was so i can play with a friend who was on a different server. i know i wont be playing much on that account but i decided i would be a noelle main just to have the slightest motivation but then since noelle surprisingly f2p friendly even with her teams. I then decided to just pull the characters i love with no care for the meta. just like you but with yelan. now that account is just for when i want to take a break from the meta and enjoy the game in a different way

I have 10 different accounts including ones on Asia! I make different accounts because there are a lot of characters I would love to pull or have but I am broke (and in debt). It’s the feeling of pulling characters which you like that makes it for me (I’m the type to pull only for characters I like)! If there is a certain character on rate right now that I truly want but doesn’t have enough primos, I go on my other ones to experience getting them. Since genshin does give a lot of primos for every patch and the returning player event, I can just let the accounts sit there collecting primos and pull whenever I want. Exploring and doing quests is also not a problem for me since I mostly only progress on my main! 🥰❤

I have 3 accounts (really 3 servers on one account). My main account is one I pretty much played on since the start. About a year ago, I suddenly had the idea to start a second one and keep it completely f2p (which I did). My third account is now about 2 months old, and it's an f2p challenge account where I restrict myself to Lumine + the Archons only, with the only caveat being that I am allowed to use Trial characters when they're given to me. I understand it's not for everyone, but I genuinely enjoy playing through the game, experiencing cool moments all over again in a slightly different way. The challenge account especially; because as it currently stands, it only has Lumine, Venti and Furina that I am allowed to use thoughout the overworld, the elemental reactions I can do are very limited and I have to think outside the box to complete certain quests and optional content. Many things that require Pyro, Cryo, or Electro, I couldn't do, until I grinded my Mondstadt reputation to level 6 and learned to make Portable Waypoints, for example. Some other things, I simply can't do at all until I get the archon of a particular element. If I did the same thing on multple accounts, I'd definitely get bored, but like this, I usually just knock out the dailies on two of my 3 accounts in 15 mins each, then focus on whatever remaining account I want to focus on today. Farming, grinding, exploration and building characters is my relaxation after work.

I do get the points you make and as someone who finds genshin dialog a pain to get trew I agree completly. the only reason why I would make a secondary acount would be to play with friends who have diffrent main accounts on diffrent servers. it was an idea of mine when a streamer I really liked was playing on asia and I kinda wanted to join the stream like others and than was like nop... not going trew all of that again.

I played on multiple accounts to play with friends, many who came from different regions. I then got sucked into Europe because i rolled a harp and as a still true Fischl fan, but more important in this case Physical Fischl enjoyer i NEEDED that (early days before Pulse, Yun Jin, all of that!) Problem is had no interested in maintaining both, so i ended up with great artifacts and the Harp, but then my NA finally caught up and surpassed it for weapons, 4 and 5* cons, but still haunts me that i missed like 6 months of artifact grind on a account that iirc is still bearly into Inazuma, and only notable thing is it has Xiao on it (cool but i can roll him later if i really want) Problem with Europe after my original friends mostly stopped playing was two fold. First off in my experience as someone who enjoys some Co-op Europe has BY FAR AND AWAY the worst co-op experience, combination of people not just not knowing how to play, not having a well setup account themselves, but same said people always screaming at everyone to run characters they demand. NA and Asia both there is always at least one of us who can carry the entire lobby and needing healers hasn't been a thing since we realized we could just bind the food button, but those Europeans don't even have a spare sweet madame left anywhere they play this game so broke. Maybe its a larp they like i don't understand how anyone can be that broke in Genshin. The real thing that killed playing on Europe for me above anything though, hopefully this has improved, was that it had very weird evidence of horrible packet loss, not all the time but when it happened it happened hard and stayed for hours. No way to play a game like this. Now i don't mind having accounts all over that are at least functional, but i just keep basically "baby" accounts for other regions, just incase I want to play with somebody, but like with Europe I'm not so bothered if i finish Inazuma there since if i use any of them its to go into friends world an as long as I have like a few decently built characters I'm good.

As someone with entirely to many accounts (all challenge accounts) I still completely agree with the points in the video. Then again I also barely play my three year old main account aside from the patches that aren't just filler. Also, now that weekly bosses are no longer locked behind plot progress (just AR) there is a lot less need to slog through quests on alt accounts. There is still the obnoxious lockout that is Inazuma mats though.

I have multiple accounts myself. My main and 3 alts. The only reason I have these accounts is because when Klee released I rerolled accounts for an entire week trying to get her. I eventually did get best girl, don't @ me, and that account become my main. I keep the other 3 accounts around only for when that "recruit returning players" event happens once a year so I can get a few extra pulls on my main. Other then that they sit and collect dust.

Currently blasting on a new account with the challenge of never using the wish system. The end goal of the account is to 36 star the abyss with the permanent 8 characters you get for free (Traveler, Amber, Kaeya, Lisa, Barbara, Lynette, Xiangling, Collei) event characters not included. So far at AR 37, I've been carried smoothly by 700+ EM hyperblooms with DMC Barbara and Lisa

Congrats for having one account. I like the lore and I skipped a lot when I first started the game, so I started a new account for main story only. It's an f2p account too, which my main isn't, and I tend to summon for characters there that I don't use in my main.And since that was already set up, I do also use for resource .... >.> i'm an introvert, what can I say.

I fully agree to everything you mentioned 👍 I have a second account because I always make a test account to test the game for a month first, I haven't logged in to it for 2 years, don't know if it's still available 😂. Also I also play master duel and have a life so it's hard for me to even make a second one in the first place.

I personally made a 2nd acc to pull for characters I want that I can't get on my main. I'm saving up for Xiao and his wep on my main so I'll be skipping 4.3 entirely. I also wanted to go through the Liyue and Fontaine archon quests again (and sumeru interlude with scara) because those are my favs. I pulled Ayato recently on my 2nd acc and I don't regret it at all :D. I'll probably go for Yoimiya next since I've always wanted to play her too. Edit: Oh yeah, I also regret picking Lumine on my main lmao. Aether fits so much better

I used to play on 3 accounts (AR60 EU, AR59 asia, AR55 NA) I started my Asia back in 1.4 for Childe, cause I really wanted him (guess what, I have him now on my main) I also got a few 5* chars I didn't have on my main, like Yoimiya, cause I pulled for Ayaya (guess what again...) It's still the only acc that has Cyno and Raiden tho. Some time later I think around HuTao rerun, I started NA and the acc was so lucky i was just grinding it for funs of pulling (Hutao around 40(guess...), eula around 30 albedo 2, theres many more but i dont remember) I consistenly kept up with all 3 accounts for like months, doing dailies, all events, sometimes resin... then I dropped my NA cause after ascending the world from AR35 forever to AR55 jump was a bitttt too big (still doable tho) then Asia cause I figured that I don't want to keep up with 2 accounts anymore due to burnout.. At the end of the day I just kinda realized that I'm a gacha addict, so now I login to these accs when theres freemogems in mail ONLY. It feels nice and full of content to play only on one acc which u neglected for other accounts. I still suffer from burn outs even with just 1 account, but that's ok, I can use my free time doing other stuff. NOW WITH ALL I SAID HERE... I still went out of my way to grind up Lyney on my Asia 🤣Not only that, my Asia also has perfect Raiden, Yoimiya and Ganyu builds, even my main can't outdo. Still I ain't logging to my alts unless theres free shit, or I REALLY want a char somewhere

I only have 1 alt account for genshin and that is for another server in my main one. I ranked it up to AR25, when I'm done with my quests, I usually go one shot whole hilichurl village with the characters you usually can't or don't do. It is fun. Never felt so good using weak 4* characters to absolutely obliterate whole game... If you are feeling a little bit limited, you can rank up to AR30 but no more. (Some places are locked due to lvl limit, 27- 28, even Inazuma is locked because of a quest. But, you can make your way up to there with a bug and unlock waypoints that way.) I still haven't collected the anemoculus or any other culuses, it's just too tedious...

Where I live, the Asian server is the most optimal however I stupidly choose the NA server when I started out. By the time I realised I picked the wrong server, I was way too deep into the game on that account that I couldn't bring myself to quit it. However, I still really wanted to play with an irl and future irl genshin players that I meet, so I made another account on Asia. Maintaining both accounts can be pretty tiring ngl.

I made a second account because I started to regret picking Lumine and not Aether. But then I thought, why not do both? I'd be able to get more characters that way too, especially early on. But I didn't even consider making my second account on a different server. That does seem like it would have been a good idea. But yeah I wouldn't actually recommend someone tries to play two accounts.

There is a genshin mechanic where you need to be in co-op to get certain chests, like those heart chests that give achievments

That could be a valid reason true, but in my case I found quite alot of discord servers with chats dedicated to request help for exactly that without needing to actually engage with the community more than just posting your request and maybe say thx after. The obvious downside is that your both need to have a discord account (I get y many dont wanna do that) and then having to enter a genshin discord sever (will have a non zero chance of getting u into a FBI watchlist doing that). There are probably other easier ways to find ppl to help with coop achievements and chests other than grinding a whole second account but dont know of others personally.

now, i have 2 accounts. my normal account that I've had since launch and a No Wish challenge account i started earlier this year! I don't really play on my normal account since i have a job and can really put my focus on it. my No Wish challenge gave me a breath of fresh air into the game and it made me love it again, but I won't make another bc that's just too much.

Me personally, i left my acc to a friend in the early days when i didnt even wanted to play it but 2 years later i can say that i WISHED i did it myself bc i never experienced mondstat😭(im also thinking abt making a 2nd acc just for playing casually)

I have 2 accounts, and the only 2 reasons I made the other account is to play with friends who aren't in the same server as I am in, and pull for characters I wouldn't usually pull, just because. Even though building new characters and playing them is fun and playing with your friends is fun, I couldn't recommend making a new account less, because of all the things you have to pick up from zero. playing with your friend from another server is a valid reason, but no one should be put in that state of misery ever again, and if you did make an account to play with your friends, I admire your courage and dedication.

I suspect that my account is cursed because I have never won a single 50/50 since 2.5 and had only won twice. I have thought about starting a new acc but after remembering how much I invested in my current acc, I just can't. I already explored and finished a lot of stuffs and finally at the point where I have some decents artifacts. I don't wanna do it all over again 😭 On top of that having one acc is already taking a lot of my time. Couldn't imagine having more well build acc without spending

Personally i only have two accounts. One is a dolphin account which is nearing ar60 on the NA server, with aether as the mc and one is completely f2p with lumine as mc on asia server. Ive done this just so i can re explore and try to have two different experiences (4*s vs 5*s with cons) Not to mention the asia server gets everything first lol. But yeah I'll never understand how people make multiple accounts just to spend money on them. Its madness

Only reason I can think of that I would consider making another account would be to play on a different server region and even that is probably too much effort for what it’s worth. All I can hope for people who want to play with people from other continents without starting over is that server migration and/or cross server play somehow becomes a thing but that’s unfortunately very unlikely.

That spamming world join is so me when I lack materials(most of them just decline for some reason but many people with Japanese name allowed to join the world and take mats😂😂)

My reason is different. I play on mobile, started the game with it. Unfortunately since I kept moving, I am not capable of getting a good gaming setup either because I didnt have the space or money. So my alt acc is merely a "time capsule" so that when I wanted to restart and re-experience the game but in a very good desktop setup at home in the highest quality, I can do so. Yes I don't mind redoing everything again since it's an RPG. Good stories are meant to be re-told again. Hehehe

I did some one other servers to play with internet friends I know over there 2, but I stopped leveling them too much of a hassle without being able to skip entire dialogues and needing to wait for an indictor 1-15 secs) to show up to skip only a tiny fraction of the entire conversation.

I have a main account and my alt account which is now my sister's. I use my alt account to finish quests and pull for character's my sister likes so she can play and explore with them. I wouldn't say having an extra account is bad, but it does get hard. And having a second account to play on a different server your friends are on is also really good since they all play on Asia while im on NA

I have two accidents since I have main account that is for wishing and my second account that is for trying to play with out wishing.

The only situation that I believe is viable for a secondary account is if u want to enjoy some really flopped characters like Candace (i love Candace btw), then u make an account eternally locked on AR 25, u will be able to enjoy the flop characters without grinding u whole life, on the AR 25 u can easily use artifacts dropped from chests and dont even bother with crit rate/dmg, talents, supports, builds, abyss, etc. I've done it and damn its really emancipator being able to enjoy the characters without months of grinding and building, some characters have such a cool base attacks sequence for example, but u will never being able to enjoy on a level 60 account because physical dmg completely sucks and requires a lot of investment. The only con of AR 25 is not having Inazuma region cuz its locked by missions that requires higher AR.

ya know this reminds me of covid times, genshin was released that time, explored everything that time, got bored then opened a new account in different server to join and play with others, got to know players from different continent too, I used to think i hv my main to pull on waifu and small acc on husbando, little do i know my luck went to my small acc and it looked more like a main than my main acc, but overall i play two accounts to play different characters and save myself to not get upset in case i don't get them, yes it's draining but sometimes it's relaxing to do the quest again (after some times of course)

At first, I had one account like everyone. Then I ran out of content the next week after launch. Then I desperately wanted to play but couldn't because there was no content, and this went on for a few months. Then I said "screw it, I want to play anyway" and registered a whole bunch of new accounts, way more than I should have just to be on the safe side because we didn't have new content patches back then at all and I expected each one to last 2 weeks top before running out of content again. If I could go back in time, I'd tell myself to immediately start additional accounts during 1.0 but do half as many as I did.

I did try to create a new account for different play styles but I'm too burnt out from dialogue reading and just want to get to the best part about the story so I just stick to my main account I've been having fun so far and have lots of time for everything else like playing other games and working on my job

I uh, I have about 36 accounts, plus about 11 accounts that belong to my friends, brothers, and boyfriend that I play on to build their characters for them, I can confirm, I am a masochist, but I enjoy it though, plus my main is AR 60, a lot of alts are just stuck at AR 10, but I have like 10 that are 20-30, and maybe 6 from 30-50, and then 4 accounts that are AR 46, AR 55, AR 55 (one of these is my brother's account), and then my main, AR 60. It's a mess and I am so done with the Mondstadt and Liyue archon quests, but lots are challenge accounts because I can't just pick one, and some are just to get 5 stars I have to skip on my main for some reason or another, and the rest are just to main characters I can't build on my main, and I genuinely enjoy it a lot of the time. c:

I actually started a second account recently, well it's more of started on a different server on the same account. I have my main that I let myself actually spend money on, and my newer alt that I'm keeping f2p. The alt was created specifically so that I could play with friends, because for some reason most of the ones that still play or are joining are going to the Europe server instead of the NA one XD I also don't mind going through the grind and redoing the content, because I don't remember most of the beginning story and I don't like watching other people to get the info all over again. Also thanks to hyperfocus I'm not going to get bored or burnt out any time soon because it's all my brain wants to do right now. Plus you get more bored high ar players to join in coop than you do when you become the bored high ar player that ran out of resin and isn't in the mood to do something like finish the anarara (or however it's spelled) quest

I started a 2nd account (actually same account, but on different server) out of curiosity how many 5 stars I can get just from free primos in the mail. No extra grinding (after unlocking the wish system, which doesn't take long) and I get to try out new characters sometimes (even if at a very low level). Takes up like 10 minutes a month and can be fun lol

I only have two accounts, my main where I collect mostly males characters that I enjoy playing and explore to my heart's content (I really love exploring in videogames) and my second account where I do things more casually, pull for characters that look interesting (I can't believe I really enjoy both Hu Tao and Ganyu playstyle) and it's f2p. I haven't touched my 2nd's acc story quest's since the Chasm was released (poor Dains, waiting for me down there since forever 😂) and I've been enjoying the game that way without collecting everything all over again, only if I feel like it or want a some extra gems lol.

i gotta be honest, i have a main on EU and i also own a NA account i got two reasons for that. 1. more of my friends i make on twitter etc. are on NA server, and also co-op itself. For some reason EU people just want mats for characters and not really play the game together which sucks, that's why i co-op on NA more cos people are actually willing to play with me lmao 2. I love both Lumine and Aether, i chose Lumine on my EU account but i also wanted to see cutscenes and story from Aether's perspective, also Zach is one of my fave VAs and even when Aether barely speaks it's so nice to hear him in the game, and also as you said i wanted a little challenge and beacuse i only ever use lumine on my main for dendro application and not for anyting eles really i wanted to kind of test out how is it to main traveler on my NA account, so yeah Aether is my strongest character so far and im trying to maximize him in each element starting with dendro/anemo since those are my fave! I believe if people want multiple accounts its totally okay, they got different reasons, but you did make valid points like rerolling and account just for a 5 stars without having enough characters to support the said 5 star, like some 5 stars want in their teams very specific 4 stars or 5 stars to maximize their performace, so i totally agree with you, also the co-op like co-oping ur own account for mats is so stupid. I did have to try for like 5 hours to find anyone that would let me into their world for fishes for the fontaine weapon but after a while it did work, patience is the key i think. I spoke of my reasons cos i think they can also be pretty valid? especially the co-op one like idk what it is about EU people but they just don't wanna play with others (who are strangers). i tried making a second account to play with friends cause almost all of them are in asia server, but i could barely get past liyue. i liked replaying mondstadt, but Liyue killed me. maybe later i can continue it to read the world quests i skipped, but i kinda doubt it at this point

i do the five star thing with my second account (getting ones i dont have on there) but honestly i dont even take the time to play it cause if i REAAALLLY wanted them, i could just grind EXTRA hard on my main and get them. Acheivements statue of the sevennn chests etc. this game has so much for u to do it makes little to no sense to use multiple accounts to do the same thing.. only exception to me personally is catching up a friend so they can actually play w me. ;-; aka AR45+....

the resource world idea was what i did at first early on before i got a better understanding of how to play the game. i was playing it with a cheap bastard mentality by seeing what i could do never using any resources and stopped after realizing how good festering desire was and powered through the event to r5 it. to this day, that alt account is a nowish account at ar60.

I swear I also thought myself as the crazy one because in most discord chats/reddit post/even random coop chats, I see ppl stating casually they are on their 2nd or 3rd account and noone else bats an eye. I have many times tried to think of reasons y that many players are doing this and I always get stumped even though I honestly really like lore heavy games and usually got no problem replaying those types of games like skyrim and neir for example. But as you said in the vid, not only does genshin got 0 replayability vaule (the daily grind is already replaying the game over and over) but the only real gameplay progression is getting new characters and thats is locked behind time gated banners so all in all you actually get less replayability when you start a new account compared to an old one. Sry for yapping, but damn this video unlocked a core question for me since I started the game

As somebody who uses 2 accounts on genshin, I'm surprised to learn why other people create new accounts. The nostalgia thing is abit understandable but when I wanted to watch older cutscene, I would just look up a youtube video. When I needed more materials, I would wait for them to respawn. If I didn't get the character I wanted, I would just try to get enough primos to pull for the character until the banner ends. And if I don't get the character, I just say "oh well, tough luck" and move on because I know I can get them some other time due to Mihoyo doing rerun banners and some characters I wanted being popular such as Zhongli, Hu Tao, Ganyu, and Klee that the only one I haven't gotten on either accounts is Klee and I'm not mad since I got 2 pyro dps on both accounts that I don't need Klee. There isn't enough content is something that makes me happy since it allows me to do other things, its much better than content I don't like such as mandetory co-op events where we compete with each other rather than work together or timed events such as the festering desire sword which I didn't know about and couldn't get since my team was not built to easily deal with cryo at the time and my best pyro was Yanfei who needed her stamina and I had no good shielder that could support Yanfei.

I only have a second account bc my friend plays on a different server as me, and it lets me pull some characters I can’t on my main 😭 and sometimes I play on her account to help her out a bit, but.. I haven’t logged onto either for a while LOL. I barely use my main these days I agree it’s way too much effort

I did make a second account on the Asia server (was originally on the America server), but it was because my friend was on the Asia server (also, I had actually quit genshin back in late 2020 cause I got stuck. I only came back cause of that friend. I haven't touched the America server since.) So yeah, I made the other account for a friend.

Well, I'm Definitely a part of this. Just having challenge accounts are really fun IMO. And random accounts where I use a specific character or element mostly. Some are region specific accounts like I have one where I have only Fontaine unlocked and collect and build Fontaine characters. So on and so on. Also, if I combine all my accounts together, I'll have every single charater at least C1. I just got lots of free time. I do have 2 jobs and that's basically where I play a lot of my accounts at. We don't get really busy but it pays a lot so we just sit by until a pike of people come at once and we're busy for 2 hours straight. Well if read this long ( I doubt you did), I have at least 30 accounts and made the most recent one 3 weeks ago. Been playing since the game came out so I have made a lot of challenge accounts and some I've Finished. About 27 of the accounts are actively used by me so I don't create them to sell them. Ok, I know that no one reads this much stuff but, if you're the rare story readers from reddit, post your highest dmg done in this game. I got a welkin riding on this one.
