Great really great info about the song "Hey Jude." Thanks heaps! "PEWDIEPIE OUR INSPIRATION" that is the name of my latest KZread video. I used a Beatles song to get my ideas going. Can you guess what song I used?

John was wrong. He did help write "Hey Jude" by making his son's life so miserable that Paul was inspired to make it better.

If Paul’s said it’s for Julian it’s for Julian lol. What doesn’t really match the idea for it being about a 4 year old is the “looking for someone to perform with” and “go out and get her” and I can see that (maybe) being about John, but also probably just words strung together that fit the melody or with the intentions of giving the song a wider subject matter for a greater chance of relatability among listeners.

Also kudos to Ringo nailing that drum part even under those funny circumstances. Just goes to show that he truly is a great drummer no matter what anyone says. Thanks for the informative video.

No no, here's the real story: The Beatles were going to record a new song. But as soon as the tape started, Paul dropped his bass on his foot and yelled: "Fuckin' hell!!!". And because The Beatles were very poor, they had to use what limited stock of tape they had available, so they decided to record really loud instruments to cover up Paul's swearing. But the song they were working on wasn't loud enough, so Paul quickly went off to the bathroom for 5 minutes, and returned with Hey Jude. And everyone agreed that this song was indeed loud enough to cover up Paul's naughty words. But they were wrong. And 50 years later, "Fuckin' hell!!!" can still be heard on the record, clear as a bell.

Paul wrote only the first line of the song with Julian on his mind. Clearly, this song is not about a little boy. " Still others, including Lennon, have speculated that in the lyrics to “Hey Jude“, McCartney’s failing long-term relationship with Jane Asher provided an unconscious “message to himself“. McCartney and Asher had announced their engagement on 25 December 1967, yet he began an affair with Linda Eastman in June 1968; that same month, Francie Schwartz, an American who was in London to discuss a film proposal with Apple, began living with McCartney at his St John’s Wood home. When Lennon mentioned that he thought the song was about him and Ono, McCartney denied it and told Lennon he had written the song about himself."

I’m a different kind of 14 year old... I became obsessed with the Beatles like two months ago and I literally have listened to every one of their songs now. I love almost all of them with the occasional exception of a sh*t song imho.. they have recently became all I listen too.. I have watched every one of your videos on them I’ve watched all their films (I even sat through yellow submarine) and I’ve watched 3 documentaries on them, 2 on Johns life, 2 on Johns death. Literally every single interview any one of them has been in (including the countless ones with yoko, of whom I have no respect for whatsoever because of what she did to Julian) every single recording of them live there is, every music video. And I’ve listened to a sh*t load of bloopers and hours of different takes and demos. I’ve researched so much on all four of their lives I know them better than the people I actually know at this point.. I am completely and utterly obsessed and I literally don’t even care.. but point is thanks for making these videos to help fuel my obsession.

Nice back story. No one is perfect. Each Beatle is respected for their own contribution, and their own shortcomings. Just like any other human

In 1968 John wrote "Hey Bulldog" and Paul wrote "Hey Jude" as a response. Only joking!

Julian Lennon looks and sounds just like John. The resemblance is crazy. Well, not really since they are father and son. But they look a lot a like

The song was written about John not Jullian Paul was afraid that John would find out that the song was about him. Hey Jude ( John) don’t make it bad.( the marriage with Cynthia) Take a sad song( their marriage) and make it better( work on your marriage and forget about Yoko) Paul thinks that maybe John realized it was about him later on.

They can tell a thousand times that Hey Jude was adressed to Julien, but the lines makes no sense to a little boy.

This is late- but it’s a song to make Julien optimistic and in the future to not hate relationships and such just because of divorce; and prolly to not be like John lmao

@@discovarioyeah..for a small julian and the future full adult julian..why??because its obvious, a child who experienced abandonment somehow unconciously or out of hatred imitate those bad behavior he/she experienced and lash out to other people. The lyrics also said that even a person experienced those past, its still possible to love and be positive in life and that he/she should have a confidence to find love.dont be afraid to love just because you've had been abandoned...
