He's done well that's for sure but I seriously don't think that he had that much of a choice in the matter. His mother was his rock helping him cope to become the man we see before us today. John no doubt needed her strength as well and without it we would not have many of the wonderful songs that we can hear today. I tend to believe that she was their rock and would no doubt be outstandingly proud of who Julian has become.

What a beautiful man. I met him in Houston Texas at the bar at the 4 seasons. My roommate was in love with him and we hung out with his band.

I doubt Hey Jude was really conforting to a little boy whose dad was leaving him. But now is an inspiration for his music, so beautiful and so mature.

Yes, but Paul was inspired to write the song because he had empathy for Julian.

You can tell, Cinthia was a great mother because in spite of his absent father , he always keeps his mother’s memory alive and sounds a very grounded and nice man.

i have alot of respect for julian, he no doubt had to deal with alot since his dad died, court cases suing his fathers estate, i am sure he loves his father, but...an example sean and John have the same birthday, julian posted on seans birthday last year and said happy birthday to my brother but he didnt say dad...we all pretty much knew why ... john left julian practically nothing in his will

I was a teenage Beatles fan, but I have to say that Cynthia did a splendid job in raising a really nice fellow in Julian...and it might have been for the best though no one should have to go through the messy breakup John provided for his family. God's mercy and love to all.

I'm 54 and he's always been Julian to me, he could call himself Brenda and he'd still be linked to his dad, he'd have been a nobody but for his dad

Julian became stronger through God's design and I am so happy for him and I am glad he didn't turn out like his 'Deadbeat Dad' :)

They thought he was mocking them in a song. Honestly as a kid in the 80's, I originally thought he was saying "Jew as well. Their manager Brian was Jewish. Paul would never do that.

That song was written way before the term Dude was used. It was first Jules but Paul didn’t want John to know it was really about Julian so he changed it to Jude.

@@sherrieh2062Actually Paul consulted with John on the lyrics, so John indeed knew it was about Julian. Paul has said Hey Jude rolled off the tongue easier than Hey Jules, so it was changed.

Unfortunately Julia n Lennon has never gotten over his father leaving his Mom and him. That shows very clearly ...even now.

What an idiotic statement...just because you despise JL, it doesn't cancel out the excellent songs he wrote, and the fact the he was an above average guitarist. John Lennon's screwed up mental state and his often ignoble behavior towards others does not cancel his worth as an artist.
