We travel all over North America in a 4x4 MB Revel Class B. Me, my wife and a Golden Retriever. Love it and we love pushing into the wilderness avoiding RV parks.

I downsized from a 37' diesel pusher class A coach. It was great when I had it. Mom passed and it didn't make sense to keep it. Took two years to research and take delivery of my 2021 Embassy RV Sport model on the Ford Transit chassis. The best way to equip these class B vans, if you can afford the up charge, is at least 600 amp hour lithium. Complete independence and mobility and batteries don't make noise like a genny would. Congrats on your new coach!

Mike, I have the exact same Entegra Odyssey as you right down to the year 2021. I had the same concerns that you had. I replaced the Schwintek slide mechanism with a Vroom slide mechanism from Vroom Slide Systems out of Tucson Arizona. My 24B didn't have a leveling system and i installed a Big Foot leveler on it. I added solar and because it is larger than a Class B, I was able to get 4 panels on the roof. The solar system was installed under the bed in the storage area there. They were able to put 4 lithium batteries under the bed along with inverter solar controller and all the rest. I absolutely would not give up the refrigerator space, but what I did do was converted the Norcold to 12 volt all the time using a Dutch Aire refrigeration system from JC Refrigeration. It works great and runs on 12 volt all the time. I pretty much have a solar powered refrigerator. I am part of a couple, yes, we have a different opinion. There are other ways to solve the problems you were concerned about.

Mike I appreciate this vid and your full explanation. I also agree with Dale as I kept and improved my 2022 24B. Bottom line for one person I love Class B but for two of us I want the space. I got 640 AH lithium, the max 800W (four 200W) solar panels (given solar prep factory wiring), 3000W inverter/charger, so I am good there. I never had auto-levelers. My bunk window has been fine. I totally agree on the fridge, as this season ended I went to JC Refrigeration and got a 12V cooling unit replacement, and kept the original box. I have had 2-3 minor issues with the slide, I agree with your concern there, but nothing that impacted a trip. Sometimes for quick one-night stops I don't put out the slide. I did not know about Vroom, and I may look into that, thanks Dale for the suggestion. @ChippersIslandAdventures @daleengle9051

Just went from a 2020 2350LE Sunseeker Class C to a 2023 Travato 59G. We do way more traveling than camping and it fits our needs much better. Also, a joy to drive after 3 years with the class C.

I absolutely agree with your concerns about the slides! They are just not built to the standards where you can depend on them. Sooooooooooo many stories of ruined roadtrips because of jammed slides.

I completely agree. We sold our 2022 Entegra Odyssey 26M and even tho it was a ton of room, we are focusing on a B+ with no slides simply for the mobility and less to deal with. You never know what you want until you own and RV. Love you informative videos Chipper. Stay safe out there.

Chip I enjoy your videos buddy , we purchased our 24B just before you went to a class B . Lol , but you helped me out with more info, and still do with understanding the 24B thanks for all the great info , and we still watch videos , keep it up 👍 and yes the slides on the B are an issue we already had them get out of sync our first trip , thanks to all your videos we have managed to overcome many issues

Thank you for watching! I loved the 24b and trust me, I definitely miss the space, esp. the bathroom. But, as I tend to travel solo as we have 3 dogs and my wife has had enough of traveling like I do, the B is actually better for me. All the best!

Great video - thanks so much. We were thinking of getting a class c (had a class a to truck/trailer now) but now are 99% class B. We love the ease of traveling with a smaller camper but miss the conveniences of driving the unit. Thanks again

Hey Mike, I downsized from a Thor Freedom Elite 24 foot class C on a Mercedes Chassis to my Winnebago 59K and I am so happy! I find I'm much more mobile and can go anywhere and fit in a regular parking space. No slide to deal with and no 3 way frig! I love having solar on the roof and a generator for backup power and propane for my cooktop! Hope to meet you on the road or if you ever have a meetup in the MA/New England area! Keep on keepin' on!

We just sold a 2020,Travato G and got a 2023 Solis Pocket. And basically for the same reasons you did. They were too many things on the Travato that could go wrong and way too many things that we never used and didn't want - like the TV and stereo and generator. And we didn't need that extra 3 feet. So now we're down from 21 feet to 17 1/2. Easier to handle, three years newer with more safety features.

Tim, I don’t think I have ever heard of problems with the 25r. Much smaller slide may be the reason. The Vroom slide system sounds extremely promising. All the best!

Yes. Slide motors fail and are a big problem that is expensive

Slides are notorious for going bad. You don't need them. Somebody's wet dream. Not practical.

I had two issues early with my 2022 24B. A Flex Armor roof took care of all that.
