Why did Doenitz take over running Germany? (Short Animated Documentary)
After a certain moustachioed leader of Germany during World War 2 became indisposed he was succeeded by the head of the German navy instead of one of his political cronies. 0:54 You should've mentioned that the reason why Goring got arrested for asking, that was because Hitler's personal secretary Martin Bormann intercepted the letter and made it sound like Goring was about to launch a coup, so Hitler thought Goring betrayed him
@Guns_Blazin
24 күн бұрын
Also Goring actually worded the later very carefully to make it as diplomatic as possible whilst also trying to reaffirm that he was only following and clarifying the legal process. However, because Bormann intercepted the letter like with all incoming messages for the Fuhrer, it meant Hitler never saw it and given his mental state, Bormann manipulated Hitler into getting Goring out of the way.

I don't think y'all understand how it works and are paranoid. KZread absolutely won't censor something before it even gets uploaded, especially if it is something said during the video. Also, getting demonetized and getting age-restricted are not the same as censorship. For example, I tried uploading a video of me singing the song, "Fuck You" by Cee-Lo Green a couple months ago. When I titled the video with the word "Fuck" uncensored, it was immediately declared age-restricted. However, when I uploaded "Fuck the World" by ICP it was not age-restricted because I changed the title to "F*ck the World", even though I didn't censor any of the words I said within the video (I still sang all 93+ "fucks" in the song without bleeping any of them).

Dönitz was apparently his second choice. He originally thought to have Albert Kesselring who was in command of southern forces to take over, but Italian front collapsed faster than he realized (plus Kesselring had been in secret contant with the Allies to surrender his contingent of the german forces, but he changed his in the mind last minute), so Dönitz whom Hitler believed was truly loyal took first place. He was the only one they could get a hold of since everyone else was doing a Minecraft.
Toothbrush having austrian man🔥🔥🔥💯🔥💯
1:22 it's actually kinda debatable how loyal Dönitz actually was
lol man I love this channel and your humor so much, both when it’s hella obvious but also the super subtle bits ❤️❤️❤️
0:23 That nickname 😂😂😂
Your humor is awesome!
"Toothbrush mustache having austrian man" 😭
The toothbrush mustache having Austrian man.
Always so much fun to find the approved words that won’t make the things go bye bye in this digital dystopia.
"Toothbrush having Austrian man" gee, did KZread really start banning Hitler’s name?
The last 4 seconds of the end video name list came to an end almost as fast as the toothbrush mustache having Austrian man.
I didn't recognise Herr Goering at first, you were very generous with his physique
1:09 I feel like this is going to become a meme
When Dönitz got the job, his first reaction was "In your face Göring!"
This was great! An unusually large amount of new knowledge for me compared to most HM videos. Very nice.
Good work as always
The toothbrush mustache having Austrian man 🤝The fez wearing Italian man
First love ur vids btw man keep it up
I love your work. I love it!
I've been watching your channel for too many years. I am amazed at how long James bisonnete and spinning three plates have been your patrons!
I love this channel
The only time it's ever appropriate to roundly laugh at a reference to a certain "Toothbrush Mustache Having Austrian Man". Bravissimo, Sir.
This is very interesting topic to discuss.
RIP Charles the First, muted but not forgotten
Damn, the toothbrush mustache having Austrian man seems to be a nice painter

Great video, funny as informative.
Nice job
0:02 Complicated engineering as usual with the Germans
The Flensburg government is fascinating
I love that Mitchell and Webb look sketch where he takes power and it’s basically “here’s general Eisenhowers phone number and here is the English for ‘we surrender’” hahaha Cracks me up every time.
You forgot Albert Speer, who was very close to the toothbrush moustache having Austrian man but is rumored to not get control over government because Speer feared that the allies would then sentence him more harshly as he has seen the German loss quite early. That way he could pretend that he didn't know anything about the Holocaust whilst not being in charge of Germany.
No views, 33 seconds. Haven’t seen much on KZread about this guy, very interesting.

Not strange at all, I was reading up on him recently because it's not really common knowledge how he "ran Germany's government" for the three weeks between the surrender and his arrest.
Good video.
The eerie silence at the end

It is almost as if Google is trying to make explaining history so difficult they can change it more easily.

Can you do a video on Aaron Burr? Like when he tried to create his own country?
I absolutely love tha animation at 1:23 Ive never seen anyone as casually happy as those 2 guys, look how genuinely excited they are just for having the chance to stare at their fuhrer
Here are three ideas for you next video: 1. “Who was George Washington Carver, and why was he obsessed with Peanuts?” 2. “Why do some parts of the would use 120V 60Hz Electricity while the rest of the world uses 220V 50Hz Electricity?” 3. “Why did people stop building Castles (except in theme parks)?”
"The toothbrush mustache having Austrian Man" I can feel the outrage at KZreads demonetization
Explain baarle-hertog and baarle-nassau next!
What an intro! Hilarious as always.
Fun fact: the toothbrush mustache gained popularity in the United States in the 19th century. It’s not clear if it was ever popular before. Its straight and artificial looking trim line was right at home in the industrial revolution and later early modern age. From the US it spread across the globe and was still around after WWII. Even some Israeli politicians wore it.
0:38 sucks that KZread demonization is screwing over educational content
"Mein Füher, I've noticed your fragile health, so, to save you the trouble, I've decided to go ahead and negotiate peace with the League of Nations." "What?! Have you lost your mind?! Take this traitor to prison." *pause * *sigh * "What about you Himmler? What do you want." "Uhh, ok, so... just... hear me out..."
