Why Did Ancient Egypt Eventually Fall? | Immortal Egypt | Timeline
The historian reveals how Egypt's enemies exploited a country weakened by internal strife, travelling south to Sudan to examine the story of the forgotten Nubian kings, who ruled Egypt from their southern homeland for a century, even building their own pyramids to bury their monarchs. She then explores how the next group of invaders the Saites took the tradition of mummification to new extremes by preserving millions of animals, before Alexander the Great came to Egypt's rescue and founded the greatest city on Earth.

Excellent series.we r introduced to history of Egypt in a splendid way .
Fantastic documentary. You can really feel the host’s enthusiasm. It’s wonderful.
love the passion Joann has
I would have loved a whole episode dedicated to the Ptolemaic dynasty, they were a fabulously Interesting dysfunctional family. Joann also wrote a book called the history of Egypt, it really is super, well written and highly readable, , it’s a great introduction to the joys of Ancient Egypt.
What a pleasure to spend time with Professor Fletcher in quarantine. Looking forward to her next doc!
What an incredible passionate and knowledgeable presenter. This was a delight to watch, thank you so much!
Brilliant! Keep em coming Dr. Fletcher.
I have done a ton of traveling and I lived in Morocco for a number of years. I love Alexandria there are no more words to say about it than that! :-)
I truly enjoyed this and can watch it repeatedly. This is a journey very well explained. Also, some questions I had about Alexander were answered. Thank you.
Sublimely presented by Prof. Fletcher - thank you so much for this edification :)
