They simply do not respect their children. Yes, you should respect them no matter the age of the child. If a parent is pushing you and not genuinely listening to you, it’s going to be a problem down the road. Encouraging and pushing you into something is two different things.

"Disney eats child stars" is just an open secret as "Nickelodeon eats child stars" is, I used to think "Nickelodeon is a better company, they don't destroy actor's lives like Disney does." Yeah, that's outdated to what Nickelodeon did now in light of recent spotlighting (because Dan the Foot Man has been called out since me too, which I've been following for the 7 years since being brought up in a Twitter thread), I just bring it up to say I'm not surprised since Disney is definitely just as evil given their track record of ruining child actors.

The same sort of nonces nowadays have TikTok, Instagram, and KZread et al - purposefully to create parasocial relationships with youngsters that they can exploit through a child's precocious journey into adulthood, like a vampire. They're even promoting gambling to children, so that once they hit 18, they think it will be an act of freedom and rebelliousness to immediately _accidentally_ gamble their rent and food money away - because strangely the real life odds to win are much lower than when the streamers play... 🤦🏻

This topic makes me think about the 1962 film “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?”. Throughout the movie we see just how badly damaged and stunted Jane is by her time in the vaudeville circuit. Everyone talked about how much they loved her when she sang “I’ve Written a Letter to Daddy” as a cherubic child. It becomes macabre and twisted when she sings it as a haggard, long-forgotten shell of a human being. Watching it back, it’s like they tried to subtly warn us 62 years ago.

@@prettypennyschannel I haven't seen the film, but the most famous example of a mother living through her children was Rose Havock. She had her kids in 1911 and 1912 as a teen. her younger daughter June was a vaudeville dancing star beginning her career at age 2. Neither kid attended school or went to doctors. They never played with other children. When the girl was about 16 she finally left her mum. Her older daughter Louise became the famous Gypsy Rose Lee, whom you can see in black and white on KZread. Even when the girls were grown and living their own lives, Rose was threatening and nasty to both girls, demanding money and other things. She hated her girls till the day she died. Even on her deathbed she was nasty to her daughters who were by her side. A musical called Gypsy was written about the mother.

Also, the writer’s rooms for Dan’s shows were always full of men and if women were present they were being humiliated or actively degraded. No surprise that was reflected in the shows themselves. Some people really enjoy humiliating others. Most all the sexual innuendo revolved around humiliation. It was “funny” because the kids were uncomfortable. And if you don’t laugh off or acquiesce to discomfort, clearly you were punished. And the code words like “pickle”, “sausage”, “goo” all reflect the ways groomers will make sexual ideas “fun-sized” for kids. The ultimate act for me was them doing all this with the intention of exposing children at large to these things and making it seem like normal childhood experiences. Really makes you wonder what tf happened to Dan. 🤢

Peck had worked for Disney before. He was on a Disney show called boy meets world, which aired on abc and evidently he creeped everyone out there. So Disney knew very well who Brian peck was long before Nickelodeon. There used to be another clip making the rounds of Brian peck gushing over a very young and very uncomfortable Leonardo de Caprio. Then Disney hire him for a show called the suite life on deck AFTER he was released from prison for child molesting. Disney supporters say that they fired him when they found out. He was in prison and had had a public trial. How could they not know? Disney already had him on one of their own shows where he was a creep and knew he was a creep. Disney is no better than Nickelodeon and in many cases far worse.

The only reason I can think of a parent wanting to put their child in these positions, knowing what we all have known for a while now, is because their child really wants it and the parents think they can protect the child and they won’t be like the “other” parents, or the more likely reason, is that they’re narcissistic and/or living vicariously through their kids and are money hungry and crave fame for themselves. It would seem to hardly ever be the child’s dream but more so the parents dream and it’s selfish. I would love for my family to be in a better position financially but it’s crazy to put that stress on a child and I would never put my kids in a position where they could be hurt or abused. I fear leaving my kids with babysitters. It’s just so sad and so low what parents will risk for wealth and fame. Such a shame.

@DJ-TIY Have you seen the videos that the radical trans segment is putting out? They advising children to conceal from parents that they’re conversing, hide but they are discussing, and maintaining that completely inappropriate topics like bdsm and fisting belong in elementary children’s books. A doctor in Minnesota who identifies as queer and is married to a trans man voiced concern that children would being alienated from their parents and fast tracked into medical procedures they didn’t understand. This doctor was then attacked on all fronts, her professional reputation ruined, and all because she voiced legitimate medical concerns. This classic grooming behavior is now being normalized in the name of performative moralism. If you really want to hear about victimized children look up the German psychologist or coined the term cis, it is absolutely horrifying.

Perhaps we should just make it illegal until they turn 18 or graduate from high school. Kids who want to be entertainers can do local school plays, sing in their small towns etc, but no TV, movies, albums/big concerts etc.

22:23 110%, without a doubt, Dan has a mega-stash of, uh, ‘those types’ of scenes stored somewhere under the guise of “they’re just clips from a kids show/there’s nothing legally wrong with them” and it would “make sense” why the producer of the show would keep clips from the show he produced. But, at the same time, rewatching some of those clips doesn’t even take a whole lot of imagination as to why he would make/keep them.

Incredible post, Derek. Very informative and interesting. You threw in pretty much the entire Physician's Desk Reference (on psychology). And be careful... it's "orientation" not "preference." But that was your only slip.

amazing information. you are so sharp and on the money! THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN THINGS! your way of pronunciation is really entertaining and helps me soak up what is being said. i have "NPD" mother and father figures in my life. i am currently 21 and researching monstrous psychological bevahiour, for making music. i am making an album on when i was younger. as of now, am in the process of making the setting, and characters. trying to get all the memories i can written down, as well as sprinkling new additions to the characters (my parents) to bring out how nasty they were to me growing up. i am trying to exaggerate their actions in my past to make it dramatic for the album/music videos. i want them to be evil, because they were. i love learning about the (Derek impression) PSYCHOLOGY behind my parents, and myself... to make the portrayal of my past more accurate. these videos you do! these videos, tell me everything i am looking for and more! god bless you. you truly are doing me such a big favour. this album is gonna help a lot of kids like me, that's why i do music. so thank you for unknowingly, helping out a kid like me with his album! and hopefully people will listen to it to help them get over their mental restraint. you are a very good soul. THAAAANNNKKK YOUUU AAAAGGGHHH

Man, when I was a child, the times were so different. Now everything feels so neutral and bland. It’s the craziest feeling I can’t explain. Seeing the current state of various individuals from 2005-2012 or so is fascinating. And that thumbnail caught me off guard 💀 why do people do things like that. Btw nose rings are horrible ngl. Nickelodeon could have had a background check for Brian and saw that it was “clean.” Just because someone’s background check appears to be “good” doesn’t mean they didn’t commit any crimes or they were let off the hook. Someone can get away with something and not yet get caught and charged and be put on record. Brian was probably waiting for the right time to assault kids and because his background check appeared to be “clean” that’s how he got in.
