Makes no sense to bring in a young long term manager and then sack him a few months later, even if the results have been pretty bad. It took him a while at Brighton.

When you’re given as much money and talent even if you’re a long-term manager you’re expected to show a few results and not fall off to the bottom half of the table

I think the main reason was he could not earn that respect players need to have for their manager if they want to push their limits to be world class. Something that is night and day comparte to Mauricio Pochettino

I think it's a very typical bad management of the club at the top level. Squad is too big, system coach has no time to train the system and too many players to teach it to, lack of reliable players in key positions (goalkeeper, centre mid, right back, striker). It reminds me of old FIFA saves where you buy all the players you want but nobody will buy your players so you're just stuck with this hodge podge of players you don't like.

He’s an awful manager and is clueless at the top level. In his small club over achievements he looks amazing but he’s not a top level manager. Modern day Pardew or McClaren in my book
