The official Apple one doesn't work for those apps either. Streaming to external devices is blocked by the apps not the type of adapter you're using.

They’re just being petty. If you pay for an Amazon prime subscription, what difference does it make to them if you want to watch it on your TV? It makes no sense.

Nope,I have the genuine apple HDMI lightning adapter,it will do the same thing on certain apps,for instance,my Spectrum TV app used to work fine,then Spectrum did an update and added a copyright infringement to the app and now the app will not play through the adapter,Terrible,because I thought I could take my Spectrum TV with me wherever I go. Who wants to watch TV on there phone ?,not me.
My adaptor worked at the beginning and now it doesn't- a screen with a qr code shows up, similar to what's on your TV screen, but it does not mirror. When I scan the QR code it takes me to a drong cast app which is useless and kind of sketchy. Do you know how to fix this issue ?
