Why Can't Europeans Have EVs This Cheap? - Wuling Bingo
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The world needs more cheap and spacious EVs with small batteries and Wuling are once again bringing the goods. The Wuling Bingo can go up to 333km / 207 miles on the CLTC cycle and every model costs less than £10,000. It's charming, roomy, cute to look at and pretty funky inside too. It also comes with the silver logo which means it's going abroad too! Perfect.
Have Wuling 'Bingo-ing' crazy or are they onto a winner? Find out in the video.

The styling and details, especially the dash and info panels are quite attractive. It is small practical EV's like this that the world needs now. EV adoption would rise dramatically if most countries would allow these to be available to consumers. With the range of the premium model it is more than a urban vehicle. I could drive from my rural area to the big city 125-miles away. It wouldn't be a terribly comfortable drive like in my BMW, but I used to drive my old 50's & 60's VW Bug for hundreds of miles to as much as the entire west coast(U.S.A.). And still drive my Miata /MX5 hundreds of miles so it wouldn't be that onerous on a long trip even at my advanced age(76). Hope we can get these practical little world EV's Stateside or in Mexico.

I'll tell Wuling you're interested
Looks way better than a Fiat or Cooper

Hmm. They say design is subjective. Think I prefer the 500 looks-wise but this isn't top bad.
Where we can buy this car here in the Philippines?

If it's not there already, I'd guess that it's not too far off being launched there. Give it a few months. If you get Wulings there now, I highly expect this will come too in the near future.
Is it ever going to come to U.S. markets.

I'd like to hope so at some point but the US doesn't seem too keen on letting Chinese cars in just yet.
Oops! Bingo!

Liked that, eh?
At 9:44, is that a BYD Seagull following the Bingo?

No, that's an AION Y. Bit bigger than a Seagull, more like a mini MPV, but quite distinctive itself, and an EV. We have a review of the pre-facelift version.

@@InsideChinaAuto good sales too... after Mini, the 2 Teslas, and some BYDs, it got the 10th. place.

@johnsmith-cw3wo They do quite well as ride hailing cars here but I see plenty of them. Just wish it was as smart as an original Renault Scenic in terms of making use of every space available. That's the imagination I want to see on cars like this.
eh it'll be just like every other under £10,000 EV from china we keep hearing about. after tariffs £30,000+ in country of delivery.

I think if this one came over you might get lucky. Probably still won't be 10 but certainly not 30. There's no way a Wuling could command that money. That's hoping it gets there eventually.
in the UK it will cost at least £20k

Quite likely, sadly.
Id love this in the US, but the smallest/cheapest ev in the US has now been discontinued so it's all expensive crossovers, SUV's, and trucks in the US. Proves how much the ones in charge in the US dont want ev's.

Anyone making money from oil? What am I thinking, of course they are. Give it away with a free AR-15 though and it'll be welcomed with open arms no doubt.
Nothing about safety features? Airbags, side impact crash tests? Battery cycle life? Service networks, repair costs, insurance? Is this destined for the junkyard at 10k miles?

Definitely a few airbags, but I don't have any crash test data for this car yet. Not old enough for battery cycle info. Service networks really depend on where you buy it, I can't give you that for every country. And no, not likely in the bin in 10k unless you're not a great driver and end up there.
Airbags?

Believe it does have at least twin front airbags. Not so sure on side airbags.
