I do like how Cad Bane is now getting more attention on the main screen, and how his portrayal is nothing short of accurate to his overall demeanor. And I really hope that if he is used more in the future, it brings up the same hype that Mando brings

His portrayal is great except for his appearance imo. Making his skin a bit darker blue and his nose not as raised would be really satisfying. Similar to what Cinematic Captures did.

@@evade9039 well you have to consider that now he’s significantly older. So maybe Duros lose pigment in their skin as they age. I think overall they’ve kept his appearance appropriate to the times. Even including his new smaller brimmed hat, not his old one.

There is a thing about his charachter. For a casual star wars enjoyer like me, who watched everything but barely touched legends, Cad Bane's name is actually first that comes to mind when you talk about greatest bounty hunter. The reason is simple - he was introduced as a legend and was treated as such, while Boba’s imposing image is spoiled by little screen time as well as cartoonish end in the movies and Jango is suffering because of not so great scenario. They barely have their moments and then just lose. For Bane though, since his first introduction - an impossible heist - each of his tasks ended with at least partial success. Even if he loses in combat against jedi or apprehended, Cad somehow walks away as a winner in most situations, thus bending an actual imposing image - through feats. Also, while Boba have somewhat of an origin story in clone wars I don’t know a thing about how he became a badass he is in mandalorian/bobf and he doesn’t feel like the same character at all, especially compared to old movies.

Yeah bobas stories, history and feats have always been out there even before cad bane was created, less in the live action/animated scene and more in the popular books/comic books/games.

Cad Bane will definitely mention Jango to Boba when they next meet S'Wubb. I have foreseen it...(Cackles)

Honestly, a part of me wishes Jango Fett was never killed.

I like the addition that Cad Bane was mentored by Jango Fett for a while but personally i would also add that Bane was a Sector Ranger before becoming a bounty hunter but was disonorably discharged for being corrupt, i think it would be a good addition because he would have some good background and training in law enforcement that could he could later use in his bounty hunter career but also because it could finally give the Sector Rangers the attention they deserve.

Basically, Cad Bane and Jango had pride, but knew well enough that having a few extra tricks and a new perspective would ultimately prove fruitful. It's just a shame that Jango got merked so easily and unceremoniously

First off when i saw a large brimmed hatted alien walking towards Freetown, I just want to say i jumped off the couch and Yelled "Cad Bane!!" My wife ran down stairs and was like whats wrong and i said "Cad Bane."

I'm glad that there's some potential beef between Bane and Boba. My only criticism of Bane's live action depiction was that he looked pissed, like this was personal. I was surprised by that because Bane is always calm and cool, but in BoBF he was snarling menacingly which seemed out of character. I'd really like to learn that he totally hates Boba Fett. Idc if he's angry, I just want there to be a valid reason. This business is just business for him. He's not a hateful emotional character.

@@Julian-pw5mv yeah, but it's not his MO to be pissy and angry right out the gate. Cobb Vanth was a stranger to him. We definitely need some backstory to explain the snarly face in this scene. And this is many people's first impression of the character. If I wasn't already familiar with the character, I would describe him as the angry blue Gunslinger based on this episode.

@@scottlutz8347 I think the reason(s) cad really mad is because boba blew up the pikes train, and then vanth kill those pikes with the spice. But yeah, he was more aggressive rather than neutral.

Think of how good Cad Bane and Boba Fett are. Jango was even better, way better because he killed a lot of Jedi. He could only be killed by members of the High council. But even then it could have been limited to Mace, Yoda, Anakin, and Obi-wan. Jango was the greatest Mandalorian but second to the Jedi Mandalorian. That is what I wanna see because imagine Jango was force sensitive. He probably could have killed palpatine with ease.

I always thought Cad Bain was a bad a$$ character I got intimidated when he showed up on the book of boba Fett

I honestly think we’re going to see Cad Bane’s death on Wednesday….and I’m not looking forward to it. Also he didn’t kill the Marshal(I paused the image, I saw the bolt go into the right shoulder). Cad Bane Is my favourite bounty Hunter, I like the fetts but Cad in my book is a great Bounty Hunter and a rather fun character to watch(though in the book of boba Fett i think he seemed a lot more stiff and angry than when last we saw him).

Well Cad Bane is currently considered to be the greatest bounty hunter again ever since Boba fell into the Sarlacc pit. Boba never wanted to return to his old ways. So they aren't rivals if they ever face eachother again. At least not for Cad Bane.

...now it's time for the non-smartass reply. The reason was given to us in one of the lines. "Boba Fett is a cold-blooded killer who worked for the Empire." The important part isn't "Boba Fett is a cold blooded killer." It's that he worked for the Empire. Cad Bane, with that in mind, most likely did not.

The helmet got the dent from the first face off between Boba and Bane when they both shot each other in the head

The game Star Wars Bounty Hunter, along with the Dark Horse comics is easily what made Jango Fett my favourite gun wielding character in the Star Wars universe. He needs his own TV series.

I feel like cad bane has a grudge to boba because he hold a name of a friend but doesn't hold up to it or he misses jango

A better timeline would of had the teaching cycle continue with Boba seeking out Cad to learn.

To me, cad bane is the best rivalry to his compatriots but also Jedi.

Jango Fett, even Cad Bane knew he was the greatest.

In a sense it does kind of surprise me that cad bane wasn’t in the bounty hunter game for ps2 but I assume the character wasn’t created at that time. If he was I’m sure he would’ve had a bit of a role in that game.

Are bounty hunters really ever “friends” ? I mean sure they could pass knowledge, do favors, work together and have respect both ways but friends is a stretch. Several examples of boba learning that early, even ppl he learned from.

Silly question, what ever happened to Jango's armour. I've been out of the loop since Disney bought SW and have stacks of books and comics from Legends I have not read yet. I've always wondered why Boba never kept it, and if he did why change the colors? I'm sure there are answers somewhere but thought maybe it was worth a video maybe.

As an early bounty hunter he used jango’s armor and would do very poorly, and people in the galaxy were thinking he was jango and he changed the armor to keep his father’s legacy strong and not tarnish his name

@@4thecis342 that's not true he literally tells Mando in s2 that the Armor he took from Cobb vanth is his father's armor

To me it feels clear that Cad Bane is mainly going to be employed in the new live action Ahsoka series and BoB is meant to establish some hype for the character but I don't think he's going to be too greatly involved in the plot if they move forward with a season two for BoB. He'll show up in the Season 1 finale tomorrow, maybe talk about how disappointed Jango would be in his son, then get his ass kicked by Boba and Co but then wound Fennec (since he lost to her in bad batch) and scamper off before he can be captured and then be reintroduced in Ahsoka. I think we'll even get a post credit scene teasing Ahsoka at the end of the episode. But overall I think their rivalry is one worth focusing on more because in Clone Wars Bane was always able to get one up on her, so it would be a great way to show how far she's come for them to stand off and finally win. But the rivalry Bane shares with Boba feels very hollow on the surface to me personally. Even if they reveal that Cad killed off the Raiders, that's just a job. Boba's true fight lies with the Pykes.

I think If anything, the badass Tusken Raider Woman who's still breathing (we never saw her body) would have a lot more bad blood for Bane than Boba would. And I expect that'll be addressed tomorrow too.

Jango was 44 in AOTC while Bane was 40.🙂 Jango’s birth year was 66 BBY, which I always found perfect. The template for Order 66.

Jango’s death in episode 2 feels like a mistake to me. In almost every way, it always feels like it would’ve been better if he had survived, and was instead killed in episode 3. That way he’d be an interesting foil to the clones in the clone wars.

Bounty hunting can tend to be a dirty line of work: assassinations, sabotage, kidnapping, terrorism, etc. Force users who were bounty hunters tended to be dark siders because bounty hunting is in general, a selfish and immoral business.

I feel they should have done both Cad and Boba more justice in the fights in the series. It felt anti climactic, imo. They're both experienced, tough dudes, should have been a more fast paced, drawn out fight than boba getting knocked over by like 2 shots, then cad getting stabbed and it's over. Kind of an insult to both characters and their true abilities. Again, just imo.
