I got an XLE AWD Hybrid. The gas mileage for local driving, if you go easy on the gas pedal, is simply amazing. Local drive has been getting me 36 to 48 MPG. Highway has been 28 to 34 MPG. These numbers are amazing, given that it's a full-sized SUV

I got mine as Platinum and put matte black 22's on it and tinted the front windows. My ride looks really sharp. Oh and i added a 1500 watt Memphis amp and two 8inch shallow subs. Sounds awesome and get lots of compliments. The car is great upgrade from 2020 highlander to this one. Seats are cooled and heated, steering wheel is heated, heads up display and lots of extras. The delerhip took care of me, they knocked down 4,000 off the platinum.

Markups are destroying this car.

Everything is mark up, I try to get my sequoia tRD is was $98k I walk out the dealership they not gonna get $20k from me.

Toyota dealers are destroying the brand with this crazy price markups …. Many Toyota owners are moving from the brand to Subaru or Hyundai when they change their cars .. I am one of them . I switched with Subaru Ascent .

Now they are knocking off $2500 from msrp funny times have changed! Buyers market again! Just have to ask or be ready to go to the next dealer and ask them.

@Jeff- I’ve pre-ordered a Hybrid XLE AWD. However the dealership told me that they can’t get fog lights on XLE. I wonder why. Can you advise if we can get fog lights on this XLE model? Thank you. You helped me to buy my RAV4 two years back from your dealership. Thanks for that

xle is too bare bones unfortunately. what suv at this price range doesnt have parking sensors or fog lights..... thats why i opted for limited hybrid.

Do the grand highlanders or specifically the hybrids have a spare tire?

I would highly suggest to buy AWD model for peace of mind traveling places. BTW, I don't know if Grand Highlander gas getting dynamic torque vectoring AWD with rear driveline disconnect on selected models or not (like some Highlander or Rav4). So far I think its dynamic torque control AWD that Grand Highlander gas models get.

Jeff, the website shows the XLE doesn't have LED daytime running lights with ON/OFF feature. Does that mean the XLE has no day time running lights at all??

When will the XSE version come out?

Jeff, XLE is the model of Grand Highlander for me but I would opt for the Hybrid . 😉

With all the inflated price and dealership markups, It's a no brainer to buy a tesla model y 7 seater IF yoh only need to use the 3rd row once in a while. Tesla Model Y 7 seater long range $51,490 - $7500 federal tax credit - local states incentives, gas and maintenance savings, wake up fully charged and interior is set to your desired temporary and ready to serve you warm or cool; save alot of time for not running to the gas stations, get in line, inhale the gasoline, fill up, empty wallet and drive back. Tesla is fast a fun and top notch technologies. iPad on wheels.

I am trying to decide between the regular highlander limited or the XLE grand highlander. Which one would you recommend?

Grand offers more interior room and more cargo room in the back

A grand highlander and has no hood struts lol. I don’t care if the four banger has 10 turbos, that vehicle is too large for a four cylinder. I’ve yet to see one of these in the wild.

Own a 2021 hybrid and want to purchase a second one of these. I would never ever consider a turbo heavy vehicle suv. I want to buy this thing to last 150 to 300k miles. I dont want to worry about the turbo stressing the little four cylinder and or blowing out. I might as well go with the hybrid which is true and tested from toyota.

Why dose it have a design close to RAV4 which was released in 2019, just longer that says a lot abt the design of the RAV4 I guess 😮

Imagine paying an absurd price for a base model anything $48K+ I put a hitch on my 23 sienna for $150 and the port wants how much? Yeah save ya money kids there will always be a rainy day!

I have to agree with you. Turbo's are why I got away from Honda & switched to Toyotas. Thankfully my Rav4 XSE hybrid is not turbo.

Thats why Toyota customers are migrating to Subaru Ascent and Kia Telluride We migrated to Subaru because of Toyota high unrealistic dealers markups …. We got a Subaru Ascent Touring for $10,000 less than a Highlander ….
