As a sales person. I can say he does not need to "be" a sales person. He is one. The right one, the one who invests, gets reward and does what it says on the tin. Thank you all that get it and come along. No harm was done in this sales pitch.

This is why I barely spoke on my old podcast. Let the guest talk. Ffs. Otherwise make a separate account and sit there and dribble away. Listeners use to ask me to talk more. But the show wasn’t about me.

I honestly think you should have him again but let him go deeper into being at breaking point rather than seeming to avoid it like a plague. The issue is men don't speak up and this is a good example of why. Let the man express himself and it will make your content a lot more genuine too.

  • @JellyLancelot

Dude, bit of constructive feedback as these are great, you need to get better at letting the guests lead the topic. It creates a much more natural and interesting conversation and can lead into really interesting topics that may give your content an edge. People are here for the guests and to hear them talk. Listening and reacting more to what is being said and following/guiding the conversation only when absolutely necessary. If you watch some of the all time great interviewers, they barely say anything - Graham Norton is incredible at this. Cutting people off is becoming a recurring theme in your content, and it leads to scenarios as when in this video Alex was wanting to delve into an interesting topic (him at breaking point) and instead you forced the conversation elsewhere to something far more superficial. Relax, ease into the conversation and guide it only when absolutely necessary. Great content, and I'm loving how you're currently touring the UK car scene!

I think the biggest problen is that sometimes Ben forgets that the viewers are here to listen to the guest's stories, not him. He is merely the catalyst and he needs to remember that although it's his channel, the sort of content he is doing means he is not and will never be the focus or the reason people engage.

Ben is like the enthusiastic kid coming up and asking how you got the car. They don't want to hear about the mistakes or motivation or any of the people on your team. They want the easy answer on how to get that. I like to tell them I am just a mechanic who looks after the cars.

When Alex left Car Throttle I subscribed to Auto Alex but never really bothered watching the videos. Then I watched a few and he's honestly become one of my favourite personalities in the car scene. The recent content (especially the Nurburgring roadtrip) has been so, so good and reminded me why I love shitboxes. I'd love to see a Top Gear challenges style show with him, Harris and Hammond (maybe with Rory Reid guesting...). That'd be car content perfection

What i loved about AutoAlex was the one day i noticed there was a YT recommendation with Alex on it and it was not CarThrottle. Once i watched it i subbed immediately. The fact that Alex mentioned he doesnt own car throttle a few times whilst filming for car throttle. "everyone thinks i own CarThrottle, i dont, hahaha" - that line and seeing him on his own channel made my week. Keep it up Alex! and also Road To Success, you gained a new sub. I love this type of content

I sold Taylor a car and he promised me he would update the log book. He didn’t and sold it on. Got hit with a £100 fine in the end.

Clearly supper uncomfortable about when Alex stated “I was at breaking point” either that was deliberate, or The young lad isn’t well equipped to delve into that. We should give him a chance, and not bash the hell out of him 🤷‍♂️ Regardless it’s great to see Alex doing well with Auto Alex. We deffo need Part 2 of this…let’s hope it happens!!

I can relate to the cars OR football. That resonates with me. Never been even remotely interested in football, but if it's got an engine, I'm in. Hats off to Alex's mum too, raising a kid on her own and making them well-adjusted, happy and healthy would be no easy task.

Alex was the reason I watched car throttle, I havent watched themsince Alex started his channel. His numbers show alot of people felt the same. Alex is so much bigger than he thinks he is. Humility really shows here

I was one of those initial 300K subscribers to Autoalex. I liked Car Throttle a lot, especially Ethan and Alex. But when he left, I felt that it was the right thing to do. I am so happy that he found Taylor and Rory, the three make such good videos. As a German, I love Alex speaking German, like he did when they were visiting his birthplace. Keep up your good work Alex, one step at a time.

Great interview with Alex. You need to calm down on the adverts. Ads coming every 5 mins means the video keeps breaking for ads when your just getting into the interview. I know you need to get ad revenue but every 5 mins is too much. I hope you take this the right way.
