Lovely review, and thank you for clarification on the treble and bass performance, especially your , recommendation on EQ for bass shelf 'if' you want it, and types of genres that excel with the CRBN. Also, yes I would enjoy some comparisons to other E-Stats too!

I have heard most e-stats on many amplifiers. I own the CRBN and use the Chord Hugo 2 and BHSE with them. I found the CRBNS to have a greater bass emphasis than most estats. I use these primarily to listen to rock and prog metal. I typically use Stax for more female vocals, jazz and slow rock. So, i guess our analysis is complete opposite. The CRBN is planar of estats.

No worries, we all don't have to like the way a pair of headphones plays the music we listen to, and this is why we always recommend everyone listen for themselves to formulate their own opinion. Also glad you enjoy them with those genres. After listening to the DCA Corina with TT2 Dac->Blue Hawaii, I would much rather reach for those headphones for rock, metal, alternative & electronic, and really, with most music I listen to with the reference chain I am currently using, they do a much better job without any Eq for my preferences. I still enjoyed the CRBN very much with several genres, as I stated in the video. Cheers

Too rich for me! Five grand for the headphones PLUS the energizer... Just can't go there in good conscience. I own the EL-8, LCD-2 and LCD-X and the annoying thing about them to me isn't the weight but the fact that they employ double sided tape rings to attach the darn pads and they keep falling off. I wish they would solve this problem as other companies have successfully managed to provide a good seal using other methods. I'm sure these and the LCD-5 sound amazing though.
