A big difference is longevity. The very best athletes have a 15-20 yr career at the top. So many top influencers are lucky to get 3 yrs before they become irrelevant or people just get bored of them. (There are of course major exceptions like the Paul brothers, KSI etc)

Notice how Red Bull is mentioned as a leading sports brand at 9:58, shows how a brand rooted entirely rooted outside of the sports world has now become a strong brand in it. Now, about 90% of my red bull sports hype is being fueled by Athletic Interest alone. Good job guys.

great content! In my opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo, Michael Jordan and Lionel Messi are amazing influencers who have been around for decades. They were influencers before apps, before mirror selfies. I think with them we got used to the routine of the extraordinary, and we don't realize anymore that they are all the time present in the sports world.
To compare, Formula One gets around 70 million views per race. I think people really underestimate the influence athletes like Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton have, especially in Europe.

It's pretty simple: Celeb culture isn't as big outside the States. The biggest "stars" would be those ubiquitous across borders. Nothing more universally followed as popular sports.

well actually, KSI and his Sidemen boys were known for football challenges back in the day and hosted their first charity match years ago and it did pretty well tbh + TOBJZL is having the chance to play in an FA Cup match( a major league cup in england) with a low division team but refused.
difference between influencers and athletes is this, Influencers do it for the views, athletes do it for their country and for themselves. They train and compete even when no one is watching.
I don't relay comment on your videos, but I have to now, I completely understand what your saying

He really tried sneaking in logan paul there as an athlete lmfao
No employee is worth the kind of money they pay these people. They play with balls, drive cars fast or beat each other up for money. Who cares what they think about anything. I sure don't. Don't look up to or use these types of people as role models. Or care what they have to say about anything. They don't live in the same reality you do. And they are not who you think they are out of the spotlight.
2:28 Buddy, his real name is MUHAMMAD ALI, not an AKA, he has said it multiple times, please don't disrespect him like that.

I haven’t watched this video yet but I am part of the group that wonders why anyone even cares what these people have to say outside of sports.
Great video, as always, but I think the bit about the sidemen charity match is a bit misleading. I don’t believe Logan Paul was really part of it and rather than a ‘try their luck’ thing it was an annual event

Lionel* not Lainl
0:28 mayweather vs McGregor did 4.3m ppv buys one of the biggest ppvs of all time
this is pretty simple, just to give my take on the questions "why would people pay to watch 2 youtubers box", because it's not something you would expect, that's why, it's like if someone made a Trump vs Biden box, or a Ryan Reynolds vs Ryan Goslin, or a Chris Hemsworth vs Chris Evans, etc... it's something we never thought we would ever see but maybe we did wonder or talk about who would win in such a situation, so yeah pretty easy money making thing if they actually wanted or needed the money, hell imagine a Messi vs Ronaldo box match, if that doesn't hit 2 billion views i don't know what will.
Athletic Interest wants to be the Nike of sports infotainment
brands should sponsor those that deliver results, like competing at the Olympics or even at the national level. What sporting achievements do influencers have?
Philosophers, mathematicians poets>>> gladiators
