WHY AM I LIKE THIS?!

I know things can be slow durring the off season, but I really appriciate everyone sticking with me through the "less exciting" parts of my job. I'm working hard to get all of my equipment ready for Blue Crab Season 2023! There's still a ton of work to do and crab season is fast approaching. I'm super pumped to share what I really live for with my growing audience this upcoming season! Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

He first has to find the cardboard, find a pen or sharpie this all takes valuable time and energy. Simply putting them down and forgetting saves a ton of time on the front end. Cardboard works great I know a few engine builders that use the cardboard trick, I've done it. Works a treat

Luke, watching you is like watching me. I was nearly in tears with the screws in little piles. I do the same thing. Although I have gotten a little better at keeping things somewhat together. I bought a handful of markers (because l can never find one when I need it) and some small snack baggies, instead of writing on the bag, I use the back of an old business card or something like that and label what's in the bag. I wish I could say it gets better as you get older but I'd be lying. Your doing a great job on the boat.

I have about 25 of those magnetic dishes from Harbor Freight that I use when disassembling things in my shop. I keep them in a line on the bench in the order that I take stuff apart. the only problem is that you need to super glue the magnets to the bottom of the dishes before you use them because they ALL fall apart the first time you use them. Works for me, I'm sure everyone out there knows what I mean about the magnet coming off ...

Bags and bags of stuff....I have worked around and probably don't need anymore. Ugh!! LOL...fish out of water. Brother I'm just like you. I do the same stuff working on my boat. I'll be working on something go to get a tool and pass by something that needs attention and start working on it. Instead of just finishing what I'm working on then getting to it. The next thing you know I'm working on 4 different things at the same time. I'm so sick of climbing in and out of the boat because I forgot something 😂. I'm in Florida so I'm working in phenomenal heat and every day it rains multiple times. I sit in that pure white shining tub and sweat to death 😅 I did 12 hrs on it yesterday cracked a rib and completely dehydrated myself. All this for a fishing/pleasure craft that sucks the money and sweat out of me and doesn't make a dime for me😂. Sometimes I wonder why being on the water is so important to me. I spend more time working on the boat and trailer and doing maintenance than I do on the water😂. Actually I know why I do it. It's that beautiful smile on my wifes face when we are out on the lake. I'm still new to boating so I enjoy being out there but there's always that sense of responsibility and dread of dealing with the dock and re loading the boat on the trailer.

As for the specific screw that was shown, it’s either a round, raised, dome, or truss, etc. but definitely not a “flat”. Flat screws have under tapered heads, bugle, etc. not square seat areas. Plus the top / dome of the screw shows uneven wear, so it wasn’t made that way. Not being critical, but I’ve installed 10’s of thousands of almost every style of screw available and it’s important to know, especially when ordering replacements. JS ✌🏻

@@koaasst You know what happens when you “assume” things right? If that’s what he meant, he should’ve said it. Also, the Walmart location you visited should provide you with a full refund for the Psychiatry PHD you purchased. JS

@@KING-FU its ok to be on the spectrum man. you went full on fun with flags with screws, and all he said was 'this one inch flat head screw' while the camera was focused right on the darn thing. lol, its all good, im not trying to insult ya, i just knew what he meant. as opposed to phillips, robinson, torx, etc. side note, personally ive probably installed 3" torx deck screws the most, followed by 1 5/8" drywall screws, then 1 5/8" torx, then 11/4" drywall, with #1 robinson trim in lengths of 1 5/8" and 2 1/4" bringing up the rear. i could talk screws all day. tapcons, tappers, lags, metal roof of various types, and those little sharp af black phospahte 1/2", cant forget them, one of my favorites. the pocket screws with their big heads come in handy often, as do the lathe screws, especially the tappers of that variety. but i did inherit a 5 gallon bucket a few years back, full of nothing but slotted screws, of all varietys, from brass to zinc to stainless. i use them for therapy, as sorting them is a relaxing pasttime ive found to relieve my highly anxious state at times. but i would never use them, unless in a decorative fashion, where they can shine. i havnt haammered a nail since a vinyl siding job where i hung the pvc fascia with the little ring shanks. pneumatics for roofing and interior trim are ok though. my garage sale old craftsman framing gun would have beef with me if it were sentient, but its in good company in a nice shed with other tools from a bygone era, such as the old steel miter box, hand planers, wooden levels, and other impulse buys from years of browsing thrift stores and yard sales. if only i had any charisma, id try this youtube thing out myself. i have this squirell problem though you see. have a great weeknd.

@@koaasst WTF are you on about? You’re obviously mental, but that doesn’t make you qualified to determine clinical mental disorders for someone else via YT. Did you ever think that my motivation to clarify comes from spending a lifetime in construction and I tire of content creators BS ing viewers with improper terminology. Surely not. FO Troll.
